No trouble golding this one with Dale JR '13. Are there any notable differences in these cars from different makes?

My only prior experience on this track was medaling it for that random license test on it for the super license, and also I think I did about 10 or 15 laps on it in an acura integra when I was bored one day a few months ago, lol.

So, didn't even have all the turns memorized going into this event, and flew off the track around halfway through my lap and had to restart a bunch of times for the first 10 minutes or so, haha.

Finally got Gold on my 3rd completed lap (and like 20th not-completed lap, lol).

Got down to 1:14.3 on my next completed lap I think, a few minutes later.

Then took about 20 more mins to get down to 1:13.4 for around 110th place.

I think it'll take me another day or two before I fully have the right hand-feel and memory-understanding of every inch of every curve on the track. So far I just know "sharp left here, loose right there, sharp left here etc etc". Definitely butchered at least a few curves pretty badly, so, I think I should be able to get into the 1:12's in my next session. Probably by around 1:12.0 is where it'll start getting a lot tougher and start going multiple sessions/days without improvement. Not sure though since this track is still too new to me.

Seems like a reasonably fun event from what few laps I've put in so far though.

Wow, nice one man. I think I will get to 1:12.x pretty soon/easily, but might be a long time before I get to 1:11.4

Had a quick go this morning.
Sorted the Gears.
Re-started and the machine would only let me see the reverse view out the back of the car. Re-started and still the same Lunatic rear view. Got out of the race and tried the next Seasonal and I can't get out of rear view.
Time to re-boot, I think.

Nice!
unfortunately I'm at work at the moment. But this sounds fun.

By now i only own one of those Nascars. just needed it to solve the career-mode race.

Are there realy significant differences between the cars or is it mor the paint and numbers and original drivers of the cars what makes a difference ?

any suggestions ?

Nascars are my nemesis in this game. STILL haven't got all stars in career mode from these beasts. This may be a struggle for me!

@Nihamavasa72 There are difference between the different brands and year.
Example: 2013 Chevrolet #24 and 2013 Chevrolet #48 have no difference

ok i see.
any suggestions which make and year is best to have a try with or is it just personal preference?
Maybe something like, the newer the better or just use US-makes and nothing else ... is there something like this ?

thanks for the tune @Kossie normally i have fun to find out a setup by myself. but for orientation i will use what you linked for me.

I hope you're right @shaunm80 !!
Trust in the car to grip through the corners and know when to blip the throttle. This tune gives advance warning that grip levels are below optimum and give you chance to save a lap. :)

My time was a 1.13.9xx or something around there so that should give hope to lots of other people.

I recall that the 2010 Toyota's are slow. Not sure, but I wasnt able to Gold the career Nascar races with it. Every other model no problem

7th at the moment using the Jeff Gordon #24 Chevrolet with the setup from the last NASCAR TT

It seems I can't wrap my head around these cars. 1:14.167 atm, and I don't know if I'll give it another go.

i allready know where i will fail on this track ... this ugly, uphill, righthand omega turn thing, whatever.
either i loose all my time there or else i fly out in the dust ... :)

Pffff 1:10.515 now, 30th place. This is a fun TT 👍 I think i can get under the 1:10. Maybe a other tune.

I don't think they differ, from what I have heard. I have not tested it myself, though.
Got Gold in 5 laps with this really, really excellent tune by SW_10 (who had inspiraton by Whoosier girl) :gtpflag:

I used the 2013 Jeff Gordon #24 CHEVROLET SS, tune is probably good on other NASCAR racers.

edit: corrected a typo.
Whoosier girl you rock! Thank you to you and all the other hard working tuners that help us less talented people enjoy this great game
:)
