I am not 70% complete of gt3, and i have got bored of the game. I never thought it would happen but it has. So now i will play other games and wait for gt4.

Anyone else get bored of it before completing?

i got bored at like 30% acouple years ago, but then i found this site and it magiacally restored my enthusiasm to play da game.I'm now at about 78% and slighty bored again so i started competing in that weekly OLR here.

yes.... for a little while.
now i cant wait to get back into it, but wrc2 is taking my time up atm so gt3 will have to wait till i am sick of wrc2 :D

I get bored of GT3 sometimes. Not very often, though. It doesn't get boring as quick as other games do.

Ive not got GT3 just yet but as far as getting back into racing games goes. Time Trialling with your favourite car the same track is a great way to restore faith.

Pick a small track and roll round it, and gradually shave milleseconds off it and I find that i cant put it down.

GT3 and my PS2 are on order but i thought id throw in my 2 cents.

Mage:rolleyes:

Never!

I'm in the process of doing a third complete game at the moment. That said, I've finished GTA Vice City 4 times over :D

hey, welcome to the forum mage :)

you are in for some fun with gt3 man!
just a word of advise... try and keep your cars competitive with the opposition. if you over power your car too much it gets boring quick :)

:eek:now thats commitment!!!!!

little off topic but did anyone properly max out the Demio from GT1.

what a beast :)

Meh.

I'm on my 3rd time around, with about 80% completion on the Japanese version and yes it has got a little stale. Also seeing as I started working again a few weeks ago I get much less play time. I also almost fell asleep trying to do a PD cup race last week.

Anyway, after a while I always come back to GT3 (same with the other GT games), I mean the GT3 disk rarely leaves my PS2's disc tray.

I'm the exact same way. I can sit at a game, whatever it may be for 10 hours. (My record is 36 hours straight, 3 breaks for snacks, no sleep. :D ) I just have no life.. :odd: But back on topic, nah, never got bored of GT3. I can get bored of it for 5 minutes, but then I'm back on it like it just came out.

Do some challenging races. Don't just blow through the game. That will make it more exciting.

I never get bored of it and Im always excited to play because my PS2 is at my dads. I need to get my own PS2 but my stupid mum wont let me untill I get a job!

Sometimes i get a little sick of playing GT3, but not to the point where i just totally disregard it, and permenatly stop playing. If this happens i normally go play a stratergy game on PC like StarCraft or WarCraft and when i get sick of those games i go back to GT3.

Even if i dont feel like playing, i normally force my self to play so i dont loose my skill and most of the time i get back into it and feel like playing again.

PLUS, i have paced myself playing the game, meaning that i didnt just get the game, and buy all the best cars at once. My freind on the other hand got the game before me and just went nuts, buying all his favourite cars. (He got sick of it raelly quick) Even if i have the credit to buy a car that i really want, i buy another car. This way i take advantage and get the most out of every car that i buy.

Hope this helps.

i think know why you are bored with GT3. you need more challenge.
go ahead and join GTP weekly race and you'll be surprise how fast those guys are running. they can put down impossible times on any tracks. i was just like you a couple of weeks ago, but since i joined GTP weekly race, my whole perspective in the game changed 180 degrees(in a good way). :)

Once GT3.
Eleven times GTA VC. Not because I wanted to, but because I'm a freakin' perfectionist... oh and yeah, I have no life either. :D... :)... :(

If I remember right, my dad did it once. Around corners he could get the thing on two wheels, easy.

Otherwise.....

My Gran Turismo 3 interests have fluctuated greatly. I originally bought the game for my dad and I barely played it. I didn't have a real interest in racing back then, but now I'm much more into it. I compete in the OLRs most of the time, which takes me away from completing the game faster than I could. I still have about four endurance races, and a couple Professional series races to beat. One thing that I was determined, and completed recently, was getting all golds on all the license tests. After getting the game to 100%, I'll build up my "dream" garage.

I found the Polyphony Digital Cup to be pretty fun when I used a car on par with the others. I used a Nissan Skyline GTR33 and still won by about seven seconds or so, but it was by far the funest race I had. Something about racing stock cars is fun. Besides the Miata. 40 laps with a stock Miata just isn't that fun. :P

GT3 is the only game i play, it has so much thing to do that not everyone in the gtplanet forum can do all, and plus there's always drifting with better style and gripping faster, but of course it gets bored when you play by yourself with no one to challenge you on 2 player mode. I use to think it was bored, but now its the best thing i ever play of any racing games.

I don't play to complete the game. I play just cuz i'm bored. Drifting is the only reason i bought the game for. (plus imo drifting in gt3 gives it much more replayability.)

Well, I've been in the process to winning every prize car in the game, since I attained 100% last week. There's lots of cars to go around; so there isn't that much to be bored with...however, the lack of a used car garage compared to GT1 and GT2 gives you nothing to look forward to every 10 game days.

OLR seems to cure any boredom, though.

Here's a thought, and knowing you're skill level (a bit up from mine), try running a Lotus V8 SE in the PD cup. No oil change or tires. Just "as is" from the dealer. It puts you almost identically on par with the 350Z.

As for boredom, I am an avid driver and this is just an extension of that desire. I've yet to find it boring, and usually have too many GT3 projects going to get them all done.

AO

I got bored at about 30% and then I went and started testing on laguna and midfield and trying to outrun myself. It got frustrating but it did keep me interested. Now at 98% and ready to finish.

When it comes to playing GT3, I am NEVER bored. I love to drive and driving is what I do best :p :trouble:

Never have gotten tired of GT3, I just set up different cars and start the process again I've had the game for 2 years.

BTW do any of the British members know if GTConcepts is for sale in UK i will fly in on Monday and would love to buy it, any info would help
Thanks

GTConcept 2002: Tokyo-Geneva is indeed for sale in the UK. I suggest visiting an Electronics Boutique and picking it up "pre-owned" as it's not really worth the £20 you'll pay new for it.

However, I'm not sure if Bermuda uses NTSC or PAL format. If it's PAL, you're okay (and I think it is... Britain 0wnz ju! :D). If it's NTSC, you're not.

Thanks for the info Famine, in Bermuda we have NTSC but i also have a PAL system that i use with a current switch.

As for the "Britain Owns Ju" comment lets get one thing straight brother they own the land so to speak, aint nobody owns me but me myself and I:irked:

I will also be in the Yorkshire area, going to Rotherham.

I'm bored with it for now. I've been playing Madden 2004 since I got it last friday.

I'll probably pick GT3 up again and finish it before I get GT4.
