You will never see the top guys sharing their exact tune, it's part of what keeps them at the top.

The tunes of the top times are usually simple, but they are tailored for the driver, so even if one of the top time tune is shared, it does not guarantee someone else will be able to improve the lap time simply by using the tune.

Thanks mate :).... and no probs on the tune.. 👍.

AC not far away, and of course GTSport a bit further down the road ;)..👍.

Hi, I think it is not a question of age, I just did a 3.06.5 with the Peugeot and my age is 75, born 1940.

Same here, 29 years old and with 5 beers I drive today a 3:07.5 lap Age is just a number. I get a 06 lap in a week with my 2J. Enjoy it !!! Top 200 and im happy with this.

But that beau.... can we give that dude a real car? He is just 18.... If I was a australian or a New Z race team i test him....

Hi Does anyone have a good transmission tune for this event in the Peugot? I know there are certain tips and tricks when setting up gears in this game but I don't know what they are! cheers

I'm with you on the tricks for transmission set up. I can't figure out why folks use an initial final gear then change everything and reset the final gear. It works but it's too complicated for me.

I use a calculation to determine tire diameter based Max Speed, Max RPM, Top Gear ratio and Final Drive Ratio. Reset the transmission to Default to clear any changes and get the correct top gear and final drive ratios for any Max. Speed. Then you can calculate the tire diameter and use it to calculate the expected actual MPH or KPH in each gear including the final gear. The actual results on a long straight are spot on. The differences usually occur in top gear if you can't pull the max revs due to aerodynamic drag.

You can check this on any track with a long straight like the Special Stage Route X. For example, with the Peugeot set to 298 MPH the speeds in gear 1-5 are fine since you are pulling 12,500 rpm but in 6th, aerodynamic drag reduces this to about 11,000 to so you'll end up in the 260 MPH range. That is with the F/R wings at their lowest angle.

With Wing angle at the maximum, you still get the same speed in gear 1-5 it just takes longer. For 6th gear, the drag is so high you can't turn much more than 10,000 so you end up at 246 MPH.

For the Peugeot at Le Mans I used a 246 MPH default setting, then reset gears 1-3 to the lowest ratio (highest speed for that gear and then spaced out 4 & 5 based on the graph illustration to keep the spacing consistent. Sometimes I'll lower the top gear (not final drive) to get a few extra MPH in top gear without slowing the acceleration.

Signed: feeling old, slow and depressed.

No, no, no. Have you watched the replays of the top 10 drivers? Always inspiring. It will give you lots of clues for the apex etc. The Pescarolo with Praiano's tune should give you gold.

Change the brakes ratio to 7/10 or whatever suits you best.

Take it easy, breath. You have many days to improve your time.

Edit: Forgot to mention @beau231 's video and @SW__10 's tune, sorry.

I've been punching out some good silver laps in the R10 TDi
I just don;t drive the track enough on a regular basis to have braking points burned into my memory.

Still have this bookmarked as a general refresher
Although a slower lap, the relevant points are pretty close for those of us humans

Got gold last night with a 3:14.8xx, had a bunch of faster laps, but kept dropping a wheel off and going red.

Using ballast and taming the brakes a bit helped a bunch. I changed the oil, chassis rigidity added and maxed out the hp, then used ballast to get to 700. I also moved it back to position 8 to gain entry steering. This required the brakes be dropped to 5/2. Works well now. Reached 238 on the straights.

I think a clean run now I can get a 3.10. Just need the desire to run more laps on this Nurb style track. :/ lol

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! Finally got gold on this godforsaken race, and I'm happy that I'll never have to return to it. For me the car is too unstable under braking, so I changed the rear brakes to 6. I also changed the FDR to 2100, and after 8 laps I don't ever have to go back, no way I could than you enough!

For you guys using the Pescarolo Hybride C60 Judd, try this car/tune out, it worked for me!

Just watched the driver AndrewHogg_16's replay, the guy who you all are accusing of cheating or hacking for attaining the #1 spot position with a time of 2:55.753... and who you are accusing of not being a good driver and I have to say I disagree with you there. He seems to be an excellent driver and he has taken the turns including apexes very well.

Could it be ya'll are accusing the guy wrongfully?...that he just happens to be a very good driver using a very good tune for the car, driving with manual transmission? We have to be very careful in accusing someone wrongfully as it could be very damaging.

His current time of 2:55.753 for 1st position. I'm seeing now the guy in 2nd position (Wolf_Aono) he has a time of 2:59.794 which is not very far to the leader. Are y'all going to accuse him too of cheating or hacking?

All I'm saying is it would be or is very wrong to accuse someone of cheating or hacking when that may not be the case or without solid proof and we should be mindful of this as we would not like the same done to ourselves.
@wolf_aono is a long time winner of TT going back to GT5. He should've been in GT Academy.

Still with the 2J.

But wehere is this guy??? I'm thirsty

If you can't remember and learn a short (and famous) track like this one within the hour, I wish you good luck for making it for the top 250 in the 2J, but I guess you would not make it to the top 1.000 and I bet a sixpack of your favourite  that you will NEVER get anywhere close to the top 250 (regardless of the car)!
But as I said: I wish you good luck, and talkative as you are, we will read of your progress anyway...:D
