Dr. Ullrich just had a phone call and looked ok

Loic is alive and talking

THANK GOD

-per Dr.Ullrich

No news on his condition at present.

#Prayforduval

EDIT: News saying he is talking and is conscious. 👍

Remember this was the same with Simonsen, and that ended badly.

Didn't know they show it on Eurosport 2, was following the ticker and saw "huge crash in Porsche curves" and just thought "huge is a word you rarely see in a ticker.

Really hope everything's fine, the driver cell looks good in the pictures but you never know.

EDIT: Not official, but yeah, looks okay. *phew*

Is there a stream I can see anywhere?

Session will restart in about 10 minutes time.

I will be very surprised if they restart this session any time soon that catch fencing is destroyed. Good to hear that Dr. Ullrich saying that Loic is ok.

Edit: fencing not being replaced restart at 17.55 CET

According to Norbert Ockenga, Dr. Ulrich said Duval is okay, but has severe pain in one of his legs.

Not exactly what you want to come home to.

The car has hit the edge of the barrier, flown quite high, and then destroyed the fence. Normally i'd be happy with the news of him being conscious and alert, but after last year...

McNish has talked to him personally and called Dr. Ulrich.
Of course that won't confirm how bad his injruies themself are, but he's definitely alive and out of danger.

Dr. Ullrich confirms that Loic Duval is concious and talking to Allan McNish in the medical centre and is on his way to the hospital for a full check up.

Eye witnesses have confirmed that it took off and went through the fence roof first.

Searing pace from the GTE cars, at this rate they'll have caught the GT1 times in a few years.

The GT1 pole time in 2008 was 3:49 but I think the track changed since then, after that in 2009 it was 3:54.9

Ι hope he is going to be fine...

Is there any footage of the accident?

Not at the minute. The car didn't have an onboard camera.

So far Porsche LMP1 is still nearly 4 seconds off the lead pace.

Not too surprised to be honest. Audi are the masters of LM, Toyota have created some kind of monster P1 (and for once it's reliable), and it's Porsche's first year back. They have the odds stacked against them.

Here's Duval's car:

Hoping Duval to be OK, sounding like a identical crash that happen to Marc Gene in the Peugeot in '08.

Just saw the news. Absolutely terrifying, fingers crossed for Loic.

By the way, more bad news: Baekdal's timing site is done for! :(

Here's the moment of impact:
