Hello,

Are the two 908's the same car with different liveries? Or are there differences in the interior also? I suppose performance of the two are identical?

I believe they're both quite different in terms of performance, they were run by 2 seperate race teams.

I prefer the one with the Matmut sponsor, I think it puts out more power than the other.

Top Tip: Read the description of the cars.

Identical from what I can remember. If you're looking for a test drive before you purchase add me on PSN and I will put them on my online garage.

Haven't tested the Peugeot Total one so far, so I cannot compare, but they should be the same. You won't regret the purchase, never mind which one you will buy, it's my favorite car in the game!

Thank you all for the replies so far, and thanks for the kind offer to test drive one. I have the blue one (first multi-million car I bought in the game). For those who have both: do you recall if their interiors (dash, steering wheel etc.) look significantly different?

IIRC, they are both identical when it comes to interior trimmings. Only discernable thing I have picked between them was the liveries and I (not Bob) have put many '000s of km on the two. I run the same setup on both and lap times are very consistent between the two. I personally think the Team Peugeot Total is the better looking and use that the most but online I like the Team Oreca Matmut because it stands out.

I think you're looking for the one in the Audi lot :)
Yeah, I know who won the 12 hours, but still allegiances die hard...

👍 I adore Audi's also. Primarily for their utterly gorgeous road-cars but they also know how to build a good race-car. :)
However, I cannot go past the incredible performance of the 908. It leaves the R10 back in a previous dimension so I have had to let my R10 collect dust as I enjoy the rush of the 908's performance too much to pass it up when racing LMPs.

I always want Audi to win, but I had to go with the Puegeot in the game. It looks much better on paper and is faster in real life. The only thing that would stop me is the reliabilty of the 908, but in GT5 that isn't much of a concern.

Yep. Sadly this is true. And as pretentious as the French race team sounds when they talk about how they could give a crap less about a historic ALMS race except as a testing ground, the car is amazing and they DID win.

And as much as ESPN tried to play up the 908/R15 battle to make the Sebring LMP battle more exciting, I pretty much knew it wasn't much of a huge fight barring mechanical problems on Peugeot's part.

I was however highly impressed with Highcroft's finish over one of the 908s and both R15s. I was really rooting for them to finish first overall.

I still need to purchase my 908 in GT5. I do want one though...

Audi, all day every day. But Peugeot is faster. I'd rather Oreca win to be honest, rahter than the factory squad.

BAck on topic, I have both, and i have my Oreca set to be a very stiff, fast, and testy car, whereas i have the Total set to be more forgiving, and easier on tyres. But thats just down to my tuning. They are the same.

Someone here said the camera angle (cockpit view I suppose) on the Oreca is better. Can anyone with both models verify that? Thanks a lot.

If you look on the frontwheel cover one of them has a rooster and the other has not. I do not know if it affects tha way it drives

No. The cars are exactly the same. i think the rumor that their different has spread out of control. Once you get it in your head that one is faster. Youll end driving the one you think is slower even slower. Its all mental.

My peugeot total is an elderly fart that i got off a trade with 4000 miles on it.. i intend to replace the car in the coming weeks with a brand new one.. however i do have the matmut, which is a much greener car.. and they were set up similarly for a while and behaved identically despite the mileage disparity.. so i can say that their only difference is paint
