for the first race. which track do you plan on running? so we all have a little time to work on our setups. :gtpflag:
 
The races will run in order that they are listed in the first post. Also if you are the first driver on the team (check under constructors championship in first post) please choose and give me your team name. Not important but thought it would be fun!
 
I wonder how many different cars everyone will pick....or will it be 12 GTR's or Ferrari's!

Thought I was going to use the toyota 86 sports concept as it is stock 1000kg but I can only get 350 horses out of it...

yea it does suck that you cant get the power from it. the car handles so well stock :indiff:
 
I have 2 cars so far that I am going to juggle from race to race. One is a EVO X and the other is a GTR. I'm going to look for something a little lighter in the next few days to get ready for this race. I feel really comfortable in both of the cars that I mentioned so we will see.
 
Im deciding between F40, F430 and yellowbird....But I doubt ill use the yellowbird because I cant drive that for 1 lap without spinning out lol
 
I have been trying to get my lap times down with my F430. Unfortunately I can not, I am consistently getting 2-3 seconds shorter lap times with my GTR. Both the GTR and F430 are at 500 HP and the GTR is roughly 100KGs heavier but still gets faster lap times. A 4WD drivetrain might be what I am going with for the series!

I think I have gotten my GT-R ready. We shall see. I should be online tomorrow afternoon practicing.

Ok the first post has been updated with the current racers. Make sure everyone has myself and ricky on psn. The first race at Cape Ring will be 11 laps. This might bring pits stop into the picture due to the length. Tonight is the first official practice session 10 laps of Suzuka circuit. See you all on the track!
 
IMPORTANT UPDATE​
The first 15min which were for practice is now QUALIFYING. I did not realize I could set up the grid based on the lap times done in the free run but just found out how so again 6:00 to 6:15 will be strictly qualifying. Also a few people added me to psn without letting me knw who they are via PM on gtp. PLEASE MSG ME ON HERE WHEN YOU ADD ME AND LET ME KNOW YOUR PSN FOR PROPER REGISTRATION

I have yet to decide which car I'll use. Took the GTR Spec V `09 and the M3 CSL on Cape Ring earlier, and it's a tough choice. 430 Scuddy is still an option, but I'll have to buy another one, I changed the oil and she went up to 511BHP.

Oh, well.
 
Is this still open to enter? I'm very average, and very adult (56yrs). Sounds like a lot of fun. I'm pretty sure I am able to do it that day and will start testing cars and learning the tracks if it's still possible to enter.

Ok..... I'll know by tomorrow evening if I'll be free that day. 👍

It's really hard to find a non-race car that can get down to 1000kg, I'm not going to worry about that, would rather give up some weight for a car I'm comfortable driving.:)
 
saw 4 of us in the open room tonight, but only 2 racing. what happened?
 
i got kicked out mid race...gf signed on the other ps3 with my name...logged me off....i made the 2nd race...ricky were u there for the first race? don't remember seeing you
 
first race was just fancone and i, so i thought. that was the ten lap. i didnt make the later 3 lap one.

i did notice that we had some connections issues last night. FRANCONE question to you, and everyone else trying to race online. are your connections nat 2, or nat 3. 3 is bad 2 is what you want.

it can be easily changed, "so some say" after a little youtube research. for some reason i have noticed. i been bouncing between the two. thou i am still lost on how to correct this problem. goes to show the net was made for porn not online racing. 🤬 i will look some more today about this problem. if anyone has some help or ideas please let me know.
 
Actually the first race there was myself, ricky, SoCalFELON, ajlangino(which wont be in the series due too schedualing) and Propiro(until he got kicked out). I checked and my connection was set to Nat2. It seems like making a public lobby no one had trouble joining. So I think I will hold the races in a public lobby and just kick out any randoms that join

it only showed it as the two of us to me. that is why i said after the race "half lap to go and you quit" that is really weird
 
well hopefully we will have no server problems next week, my gf does not log into my account, and we have a full roster to race with.

I will also post pictures soon of my Project Orange Racing Team (my 3 cars i will be using)
 
About how many races am I gonna have to do to bring my GT-R back down. I tuned it to 499 or 500 and now its at 504. Right over the limit. Can I just oil change it?
 
if you used any parts that have a small option like the sports air filter instead of the race air filter, swap those and when it goes back down swap it back, oil change should add like 20-50HP
