think i fixed my routers problem. should be nat2 all the time now. i hope :indiff:

Everyone but Ricky, he was in The room but never saw his car, I saw your F40 an Audi TT, and the evo X and my car of course
 
I saw everyone except Ricky on the track. In the lobby it showed Ricky with the 'still loading' bar under his name.

I am also on NAT 2

1. Are we going to run all 6 races on that one night? (make a very long night)
2. When you say 15min for qualifying, does that mean 15min before each race to qualify?
3. Exactly which Nurburgring track are we running?
4. Will we be able to change settings, like gearing, for each race?


About the only track I'm very familiar with in that bunch is Monza and Nurburgring. What kind of lap times are you guys running at Monza (you don't have to be specific, just give me an idea of where everyone is).

1. No it will be 1 race every Sunday
2. Scheduled will be has stated on first post

Lounge set up between 5:50-6:00 PM Est.
Qualifying Session 6:00 PM Est.
Race Star 6:15 PM Est.

3. nurburing nordschleife (track layout is on the first post)
4.yes you can tune your car whichever way you like has long as you stay within the restrictions listed in the first post

Ok, sent you a pm, I'll add you on psn this evening.

I've never raced online before, got a couple cars picked out, trying to grind some bspec to drop the HP on my favorite to meet the 502 limit (at 507 now).

I need to get busy learning that first track, haven't ran much on that one.:)
 
For rules I think most people know the basic racing etiquettes. (example: No bumping on purpose, no ramming people off the track) Iv raced with a few guys already and i dont think we will have any problems. Has a general guideline tho we can follow the Standard GTP OLR Rules minus the requirement to have a "GTP_" PSN..That wont be necessary. Ill add this to the first post hope this helps!

I added some new rules to the Constructors Championship on the first post. Let me know what you guys think. I think it will make things interesting, building rivalries and such

Woohoo a few days left!!! I really hope the turnout is more than half....from what I've seen in other leagues there seems to be mucho chokers...
 
The its all up to the #1 driver...it gives more incentive to push, be competitive and be #1.....we'll see how it goes.

Yes I hope we get a good turn out don't want it to flop.

lol had to tell the g/f that i need a little me time on sundays around 6:00 for the next few weeks.
 
I was reading that thread about cars handling differently online so I set up a room to practice on the track we run Sunday...... Am I ever glad I did, it's like driving a completely different car! I never considered there would be so much change from offline to online with same car on same track.

I'm lucky to get within 2 sec of my offline times. I'll play around with some suspension settings and hopefully I can get this car back under control.:scared:

BTW: I borrowed a friends ps3 headset, now if I can figure out how to use it, Ill be set.

There are some good walkthroughs online for setting different headsets up. Just try googling something like 'samsung bluetooth setup PS3' and you should get it. The problem I have with mine is remembering which buttons to press to get it to search for the PS3 so they can 'talk' to each other.

I think I got it. Will test it before Sunday to make sure everything is ok.

When using the headset, does the game sounds still come through the tv and only the chat through the headset?

You got it. If you prefer, you can make it so all the sound comes out of your speakers, and the headset will be just a microphone. It probably makes more sense to just leave it with the headset as both though.
 
I also got my headset working yesterday, played around in a private lobby for a while with my cars. First time playing online, it's very interesting, more things to consider. Tire heat and tire wear for example. First few laps, I was in every wall. What are we gonna use for damage setting?
 
Still undecided....I think we'll go with damage off for the first season gives everyone a chance to get use to online then move it up to light for the second season
 
I would like to participate. PSN is relsek.
I don't have a mic at this time, if that is a problem I'll have to bow out for the time being.
Teams are random initially? Or done in the order that people sign up?

Dad of 3 who plays mainly at night, but the Sunday races fit in perfect...plenty of time between my noon poker tourney and race time. I played GT1 years ago and now GT5. Thought I was good until I realized there are 2k people with better times :grumpy: Anyhow, read the rules...stay on the tarmac and don't crash into people....sums it up?:)
 
Any idea yet how many laps we'll be running? Still trying to decide what tires to run.

Yep those lap times look like mine...Just having some trouble keeping it on the track online lol

I'm amazed at the difference in how the car drives online vs offline. I'm going to see if I can "tune" some of the terrible oversteer out of mine tonight.
