For a start, I am no noob. However the very fact that you don't know who I am proves you are.

And I indeed do speak good english. I am Australian, not Japanese. You should learn not to assume, you do know what thay say about it?... 'U speaka good engrish'? I would have thought that since you are on a GT forum, with GT being a Japanese product featuring mainly Japanese cars that you would not be so racist as to say something that offensive.

There are many fools here, I however am not one of them. You will learn this.
why would you assume that Im talking about japanese? i'm 50% japanese. :)
O, and good job trying to change the subject after realizing you are wrong. 👍

That's pretty ironic considering Nintendo is way behind the others in development of a true online gaming experience. I'll always love the big N (mainly because of Zelda) but this is pretty cheap if they try to make an issue of this patent.

Hold on there! You want to pick posts to make fun of? Please. Don't remind me of some of the stuff I mention at times. I make a wrong move, and I'm hated on like I'm Saddam Hussein or something. First things first. You'll have to learn to respect people. And if you disagree with someone, please politely disagree. It will show that you have class and respect for someone and his/her views. And contrary to my rivals' beliefs, I'm certainly not a fool on GTPlanet. Whatever happened to "can't we all get along?" Whatever happened to "family" here? No. Some self-important people want to think that everyone in the world (keep in mind, this is a forum featuring members as far west as Hawaii and as far east as New Zealand) are fools, but the person who thought that is usually the hypocrite who will one day get what is coming to him or her... the hard way. There are people I dislike in life, but I don't go to the extent of saying that all of GTPlanet are fools. The more generalizations we make, the more we're hurting ourselves rather than helping ourselves.

"Just picking one post out of the many here to pic (pick) on, but it could have been almost any one of you." -nasanu

And Gabkicks is just trying to be supportive. Take it from me. When I post a thread or reply about something, some people often stop me and correct my mistakes. Some are kind, some are rather disrespectful. If it's one thing I couldn't stand it's people who correct my mistakes and talk about me in a tone like I'm mentally retarded. So I guess all I'm talking about is... respect. I'm not a moderator, I'm just volunteering and perhaps saving you from making a huge mistake and end up being banned. You understand me, player?

You were refering to Japan when you wrote 'engrish'. Its a term to describe Japanese english mistakes.

And what exactly was I wrong about?

Never mind, not going to bother with you.

Oh wow.

"I say! Do you know who I am?"

Who ARE you then, other than "nasanu, advertiser of an unfinished website"? You're registered at the Numbers, but raced for GTF in the second 9 Boards challenge, and finished 12th in your only race. You have your S-licence at all-gold, but none of the times would register in the points at Racing-Line (in fact, of the eight, you post quicker times than me in only half), let alone the medal positions at GT3Times. Guess what? You're about as good as me at GT3 - and in online races I'm a nobody. Ergo, you're also a nobody. Get down to the Weekly Race Series if you think you can prove me wrong. Stop acting so self-important.

And the Japanese for Nathan would be "Nesan". "Nasanu", I believe, means "Without blood".

Where did you get my license times from? In any case I did them to simply get the gold, not to compete with them. And no I am not going to go back and play GT3, that would be painful. But if you want to test my speed lookup my records on PRD2 or PGR2. My gamer tag is nasanu.

And yes nasanu means 'no blood', however nasanu is also what you get when doing a sloppy straight conversion between english 'nathan' and katakana. So what?

I am not acting self important. Someone just called me a newbie when I have been posting at GT boards like this since '98 under the name Nathan then later nasanu. I don't suffer fools and will not bow to people who pass insults based on post count.

Oh and as for racing line, the only time I have submitted there was a GTC time done just for fun (in a GTR at AR in I remember correctly). It was No1 at the time...

Oh, and speaking of unfinished websites....

Why else would you do it :irked: ?

I mean there was no goal to set a fast time and it was not a run for a series... ie, just for fun.

It's pronounced completely differently. "Ne" is your "Nay" sound, as in "Nay-than", your "Nay-me". "Na" is pronounced "Na", as in "Na-sty". Since "N" has it's own character, you don't need to end with a terminal, silent "U" of "Nu". As for the middle "Sa", I'm not even sure about that. I'd probably use a "Sha" in all honesty.

Indeed, and that was not what I was referring to. I've been looking over all of your posts here and at GT by the Numbers. And a couple of "online gaming" forums. Everywhere you are strut around like you're Billy Big-Boots - you're right, everyone else is wrong. They're all fools to be pitied, derided and looked down upon. You're not. You're just another guy.

You ARE a Newbie. Here. I was a Newbie here too, and I joined GTF before you did.

Places like this exist to bring news, express opinions and help people out. Not to pretend superiority over the human race.

Indeed. And of course I'm a "website developer" and it's advertised in my signature as the only line, just like you. No, wait.

Back down. Take part, don't try to take over. I'm sure that, as a long-standing GT3-player you DO have many useful things to say.

Yes hence the 'sloppy conversion'. Give it up, I like it and its not changing.

Well there are fools everywhere...

What was your name at the GTF? I don't remember you at all. In any case how could you possibly know you registered before me? All founding members have a registered date of december 98 because of a board crash. I and alot of others were members before that. And I am a newbie here huh? I have been registered here for 2 years and lurking before that. But who really cares? Do you honestly believe that registering at a forum before another gives you some form of superiority over them? It does not.

Famine

No idea what you are trying to get at there not that I really care.

I know what you are doing here. Its this message board mind set that creeps in, this us vs them mentality. I'll have none of it. If someone says something stupid I'll call them on it. Its quite simple and I expect the same to apply to me. I am not going to be on my best behavior and try to build up a reputation and solid support before I make waves. I had my fill of forum politics at granturismo.com.

In this thread I could have been more ploite and less agressive, but whats the point? Its obvious that many of the replys, the stupid, stupid anti-anything but Sony replys in this thread were made by teens and pre-teens. I have no interest in being polite to them and their fanboy values. Taking news of a simple patent and saying its a desperate attempt to cripple MS and Sony has no basis in reality and is the sole domain of the teenage boy. Fanboyism needs to be smacked down.

Fanboyism needs to be smacked down.

You sound like a bloody dictator.

Shut up Newbie and get back on topic or get out of thread

well said.

You say you have been on this thread 'lurking'. Then how come you know hardly anyone on here? You begin insulting Famine, a highly respected member no this site.
You are a noob on these forums untill other members feel you have contributed enough to thE community. It has very little to do with your time of registring.

^ I totally agree.....we are here to discuss GT4.....we don't have to go any further into this nonsense! You really do have to earn your respect......these are real people you know, they are not always going to get on, but with any community, online, or in the real world.............There has to be some give and take.........

To be entirely fair, he didn't insult me. Or if he did I missed it.

However, given the colour (err, not literally) of his latest response I'm sure he knows why I upbraided him. I don't think we need to dwell any further on this.

On-topic in 5... 4... 3...

Well if that really is the case then this 'community' is a joke. A xenophobic insulated joke. You should be able to take what anyone says at face value. Any one person can say something just as insightful as another. You as a community however judge the value of a post based on false respect before you even read it. That is stupid to say the least.

This community is probably not really like that though. I suspect that in this thread there are a few spoilt 8-16 year olds giving a false impression of this place.

And for the record I don't want to continue in this thread so post all the childish insults you wish in a misguided defense of your 'community'. I will not reply.

maybe you should read your own posts 1st. 👍 what was the original topic of this thread before that guy came and destracted everyone? Hmm... i just reread through some of the posts.... sounds like someone's in need of a psycho-analysis.

i believe the topic was about nintendo patenting something or other about online gaming, something very inclusive and ridiculous, especially coming from nintendo, the company most reluctant to join into the online gaming fray.

I love nintendo anyway, because despite any stupid legal department disputes, they make terrific titles and serviceable hardware.
