Finally got one with a rocket in it. Got to 7 seconds behind him with. Could have stretched it to 5 maybe but yall are all right its crazy how it takes off. I may build a rocket purpose built for this.

I managed to beat D. Papp in his rocket with a 2011 Elise. He must have been driving slow because my best lap was a 1:31.7xx. I passed him in the final corner.

Rocket or pretty much any Elise are the best choice. The Mclaren MP4 is not bad either, but can not catch D. Papp with me driving. Cobra was a fun win without the Rocket present.

Previous rubbish time. This is better. Best lap of 1:30.394. Total time of 8:11.483?

I can share my tune if anyone is interested but note that I have little knowledge of how to tune on GT I just move things around until it feels better which is probably just placebo haha

Ran the Rocket and had to try remember a track I haven't driven since GT2! Ended up 3rd after a massive spin clipping the wall at turn 1 on lap 5. Will take a few more attempts to win this one...

Had a Spitfire so I will give it a go.Thanks for the heads-up on this car.
After running the Rocket last night on my first attempt at this event, I'm not sure the Spitfire will have the guts to compete with the front runners. Might give it a go at some stage this weekend if I have any spare time!

Afraid not. I am not even sure I have this car in my garage.
I wouldn't be surprised if not many people do! I only bought it on my mission to own one car from every manufacturer. It's, well, slow. But it IS British, and it IS lightweight. So...

Woohoo! The Spitfire can compete here! This is good news!! :)

It sure can! (Unless theres a Caterham or Rocket lol) and it's a lot of fun trying because it's pretty much opposite to the Rocket. The rocket just flies through the corners with unbelievable amounts of grip just flat out! While the Spitfire is all about having lots of control. With my tuning at least someone who knows what they're doing would be able to probably get it into a better state.

Care to post your tune @Thomas2012 ?

Yeah sure! But be warned I literally don't know much when it comes to tuning lol.

Triumph Spitfire 512pp
258BHP
705kg

Power
Everything (except nos)
+ Oil change

Body
Downforce 0|20
All Weight reduction parts

Drivetrain (Here's where it becomes a just move it around until i feel it works)
Differential:
0|9
0|5
0|16
Triple Plate Clutch
Carbon Propella Shaft (Don't even know what that does but if it's an upgrade why not? Haha)

2nd 1.563
3rd 1.265
4th 1.070
5th 0.890
Set final to 3.355

Honestly that gearing was alright but if you know how to tune transmissions, I advise using your knowledge over mine haha

4|7
No camber

Note! I have little knowledge so appologies I can't provide a tune as good as something from @shaunm80 or any other tuner really

I wonder if anyone has had any luck with the 1,200kg power limited McLaren F1 and MP4-12C. Both were used to reasonable effect in the last few lightweight challenges.

I fear the 330 odd hp with 1,200kg may be too much of a challenge unless you draw a race where your only threat is the Lotus 111.

I found the MP4 12C easier than the Rocket, and every race I've had D. Papp for the rabbit. I didn't even tune the suspension, just upgraded to the hard option. The Rocket is faster through the turns but doesn't have the top end speed. I played with the F1 offline. It's not as fast but will still get a low 1:30 lap which is good enough, but it's not happy on sports hard tires.

As I was about to get off another good suggestion.. Well it's friday. Time to give her a spin! (Highly likely literally)

@Draggon wow you've found an absolute beast! My best lap was 1:28.731

Faster than the Rocket as of now ;)

It realy depends on what you draw.
First attemp with a Elise Type72 i draw both a Caterham and a rocket. I didnt even saw the rocket anwhere and lost by a couple of seconds.
Next shot with the same Elise there was no rocket in there and i won by about 10 or 15 seconds (i cant remember exactly)
the Sports Elise was good aswell and the 111 Elise for sure.

I like to draw the rocket again to show him hows in charge now ;)

Ok this damn race. If you draw the Rocket and the Caterham expect them to do a 1-2 and you're likely to be 20 secs plus adrift.

So far I've been able to draw a race where the lead car is the 111 Street and in that case it becomes too easy.

I was able to get 2nd place by the 3rd lap so you have two laps to gun the Lotus 111 down. It took me about 3/4 of a lap so I had last lap where I cruised home to a 20 sec plus lead.

208hp 590kg Rocket.

And that concludes seasonals for this month. See you again in April.

Hi how did you get Rocket to 208bhp the best I can get is 195bhp with stage 3 turbo and no engine tune? Also so far I always get Rocket or Caterham or both, 17 seconds too slow

Well, finally won an event with one of my own tunes rather than someone else's.

Used my TVR Griffith tune. It can be pretty rowdy and might wash out in some corners, but I was able to take the lead by the end of the last lap from a Lotus Elise.
