Currently have 4.5m cash, level 21 at the moment. Will definitely buy the Peugeot 908. :)

Currently gaining xp at the "like the wind" EXtreme event. 👍

What the.... "Like The Wind" is about the hardest event on the whole game! how did you beat the indianapolis? my 1200bhp veyron gets spanked on every corner and my 1000bhp ACR gets eated alive! :scared:

I used the veyron, pretty much full tune minus the stage three weight reduction and i got first in all races but the fourth race, i got second in that one. The "ring" was actually really fun with the veyron, i had no trouble beating the AI. The only trouble is keeping yhe car from flying, but all n all its prolly the cheapest way to beat the championship.

It's al right if you have reasonably powerful car with down force. That said, I can't remember what car I won it with. Once you have won it though, you will have a car that could win it all day everyday.

Mazda Furai concept, easy.

a fully loaded r8 in my case the chromeline version was able to beat them in the races didn't do the championship yet.

I think i must have lowered the aerodynamics on the Furai in order to get more top speed, and thus sacrificed cornering speed and hence i got slaughtered. GT5 doesnt seem to work aerodynamics properly though, as i've noticed hardly any top speed hit from maxing the aero compared to what you would expect, it almost seems pointless to run anything other than max.

Anyway, i race modded a Corvette ZR-1, turning the aero to full on front and back, from there i was able to easily win "Like the Wind" and the "GT All Stars" competitions. Tokyo is by far the hardest track, the AI are fast there compared to the others, and the ZR-1 does not do well at the track, so make sure you win the first 4 races, where luckily the ZR-1 does great, especially Nordschleife!

What the hell, how do you guys do this? How can you win this in an R8 Chrome Line but I can't beat them in an 88C-V? Even the 787B Stealth with the Stage 3 turbo couldn't keep pace...

Can Racing Soft tyres really last the whole race? I would have thought they'd wear out after three quarters of a lap of the Nurburgring?

I ran Trial mountain in the Corvette ZR-1 (Race modded) with Soft Racing tyres and front/back downforce maxed, had the car set with no driving aids, though the car drove amazingly the high power and wheelspin and brakes locking occasionaly resulted in the tyres being mashed by the 4th lap, and i had some scary moments but was able to win.

Next race i turned ABS and Traction Control to 1, that helped keep the tyres alive really well, i kept those settings throughout, tyre wear was not an issue at all for me. At the Nurburgring i completely slaughtered the other cars.

I wouldnt bother driving anything that isnt a race car on this, as the AI cars in the Group C or LMP cars will just annihilate you.

Where do you guys get the ZR1 RM from? I think I'm going to need it beat this event, as I haven't been able to with the '89 Mercedez Saubed Race Car. Does the ZR1 RM appears ramdomly in the used car dealership or is it won in a B Spec event?

can you use the Ferrari F1 for these events? (like the wind, all stars, etc.)
im curious because im currently saving up for one lol and if the answer is no then ill just get the Toyota or Peugot

Don't bother with the Ferrari F1's. Can't use them in any races. IIRC some licencing issue or smth. like that.

I have the Bugatti, I'll give it a try. It is fast enough I know, but I thought it wouldn't be able to keep up on the turns with the rest of the cars on this event.

btw Freqqe, I asked about the Corvette because I don't see the ZR1 Race Model anywheere in the new dealership, unless it appears one in a while in the used one.

You buy the stock ZR1 in the dealerships, and then perform the Race Modifications in GT Auto.

There is no way you can win with the Veyron. Not enough downforce and way too heavy to handle the speed at which you'll need to go to win.

i took gold the first 2 races with my SLS AMG but then finished 4th, 4th and 5th for an overall 2nd -.-

think i need a faster/better car :P

I have found the Mazda 787b race car pretty much hammers every race i have put it in so far....won it for competing in over 200 races!

Zonda R easy, soft tires, adjusted trans for a slightly higher topseed (around 230'ish) and play with the suspension enough... you can't lose even if you mess up, the handling is out of this world in comparison to the Veyron, and imo the MR engine + power makes it a lot nicer then the furai

It definitely is possible, but only just.

I did it with Racing Medium tyres, and fully tuned except for some of the weight reduction because I ran out of money. Default setup.

You can usually get to 1st place before Turn 1 with the Veyron's great acceleration, and after that, its just down to not making any mistakes, and defending where necessary. This can be very hard, particularly on the Nordschleife, as one small mistake can lose you the race.

Cape Ring was the hardest for me, as I didn't know the track as well as I knew the others, so I made some errors. I finished 6th on that in the championship, and then it took me several goes to get 1st when I went back afterwards.

Anyway, I ended up equal 1st in the championship (equal with a Mazda 787B) with results of 1st 1st 2nd 6th 2nd.

Well congrats if you did manage to do it because that's very impressive! Although it looks like the AI field helped you out a lot because every time I've raced in the GT all stars my main rival has always finished 1st or 2nd behind me which can't have been the case for you.

For real? I've been saving up 5.2 million CR to BUY this car - if you get it for competing in 200 races then I will not. Someone please tell me this is for real cos then I can buy LOTS of nice swish cars that I want :)
