All cars must be premium cars.

But what abut the people that like Kei cars? I know that I can have fun with them from time to time. And the Volvo? Why?
I know, there should be all kinds of cars in a GT game, but a few slow cars is enough, we don't need many of them. What I'm trying to say is than it's a racing game, so why waste space with 200 cars that are not suitable for racing?

I'd be okay with the Volvo if they'd chosen the 240 Turbo, which is somewhat classic.

exactly... take a look at the full list from Forza 4 (including all DLCs) there are some pretty good cars there.

GT has to evolve and has to let some of the cars aside... if it is such the need to drive one of the 30 Miatas just play with it with the previous iteration of GT, no need to drag them all until the end of time.

The simple fact of the matter is that enhanced PS2 graphics on a PS4 game is unacceptable. Not only in general but also in the face of the competition.

I'd happily lose a bunch of duplicate GT4 cars if it meant we got consistent graphics across the board, leads to a more finished feeling in the game.

The vast majority of standard cars will never get used anyway.

When they said working on PS4 is much easier, their work rate should be much faster...
When they delay GT7 to 2017 release, they should be able to convert all cars to premium...

Don't know, they took a long time to release GT5 because it was a new console and even so the game had tons of updates to work properly

Well, its said that developing game on PS3 is hard because of its cell architecture, and not only PD said that
But PS4 is much stronger than PS3 like 10 times and uses different cell architecture (Easier to develop), again not only PD's opinion
So PD should be able to complete much more progress in another 4 year development than GT5
This is just my thinking

didn't know that O.o , thanks for the clarification

It was actually funny when Kaz said the PS4 was like a canvas, and he could throw anything at it... Couldn't help but giggle, but I do hope that he's right lol!

I thought you would assume that as PD's lies
I stop caring about current gen GTs to be released :P, it has to have really cool things in order to make me want buy GT7 but as most features in GT6 were added several months after release I'll just sit and wait for the reviews...

Should be finished tomorrow at some point. I have a lot of other stuff I need to do before I continue the spreadsheet. I'm already at Honda
So huh... What about this spreadsheet, @JASON_ROCKS1998 ?

Kudosprime is really awesome to have a list of all cars and all, but... it is not specific enough to have that type of data.

(Or has it been put in a separate thread I missed?)

So there are about 1200 cars in the game
1200
- all of the clones
=989 cars
about 200 of the cars have only very slight differences in body style
989
-200 slight clones
=789 cars
If PD can maybe hire more employees, turning those 789 cars into PS4 quality cars should be possible.

And I'd like to add that among those 789 cars (I don't believe this is 100% accurate, but we'll keep it), about 450 cars are already premium (according to kudosprime at least).

We probably won't have those 300+ cars converted to the same "premium" as the newest models, but it's a lot more "manageable" (yeah, ok, it's still a lot of cars) than just "redo ALL cars!".
