Am I the only one who cheated on the Vettel X Challenge? (TT)

Try sensitivity -2.

I'm using a ds3 and I had to turn sensitivity up to 4. I use the lowest for all other cars but for me, the redbull wasn't reacting fast enough because it's ridiculously fast. I used automatic transmission and srf also. I consider that cheating but I just wanted to get it over with lol

Yes I now. Me too. I drive with the Buttons though. With sensitivity on -2. Its an unreal car anyway, so any unreal means of winning is ok. :sly:

No that's not called cheating. If the driving options are there use them if you do not want to use them well don't and it is up to the player.

Surprised myself with the seb vet event. Hate red bull cars.

But decided to have a shot at it. Have gold in all three. The last one being the hardest, even managed to overtake Seb after he spun out.

I actually enjoyed driving the fan car, i think i had TC at 1 ABS at 1 and controller at 3. Had ASM off and Active steering off. Still SRF on as i am not that brave/skillfull.

Cheat if you want, the cheat police aint gonna turn up and bust you. I just found that sometimes cutting corners is a gamble at times.

I was being held up by seb and could have gotten a way better time if he didnt keep drifting off the racing line and forcing me to brake when I (attempt to) overtake him. I havnt used a DS3 on GT for a long time now so cant remember how much harder it is but with a Driving Force GT wheel I was about 5 seconds under the gold limit without any aids on. For any person who enjoys GT or any other driving game, get a steering wheel, you wont regret it!! Even a £50 base model wheel will be so much more fun than a controller. Or for £90 to £120 the Driving Force GT is really good for a 'beginner'.
So much more control, this is especially noticeable in super fast, sensitive cars like the X201x cars.

For me the best way is to turn the sensitivity upto 7 and drive it like that for awhile. Slowly you get used to it and if you turn it back down to 4 or 5 it then feels perfect. If you're used to driving with 7 like i have with all the cars and then you go back to 0 you then realise how slow the commands are and you almost have to turn before the bend. The more sensitivity you use the faster and more precise you will eventually be but at first it does feel a little tricky.

Edit: i meant to quote the guy using -2, sorry :)

If you race with a manual transmission, pull off in 3rd or 4th gear it really helps with wheel spin.

bit late in replying.. already got it set on that. i did get gold on spa (by cutting corners) and i'm .6 from gold on monza. still not attempted suzuka. edit: after reading other posts in this thread, i'll try out higher sensitivity, although i'm not sure if i can actually react as quick as the car is.

DS3 - No driver aids (Usually) Not sure If I just got in the car and did it - or if I did turn the tcs abs guff off... I was slightly amazed when I got gold in one of the last Vettel races, but finished second yet still got the gold.

The GT5 events were silicon carbide hard. I think GT6 benefited hugely from the feeder series building up to the big bad races with corner cutting four times world champion, and all round Fun guy, Sebby V.

We didn't need the karting event.

m'kay, tried the +7 sensitivity.... to who ever suggested it.. i love you.

just did a 2:11.778(edit: on monza) without cutting corners, did have aids on though lol and done suzuka in 2:27.810, although that was quite a rough 2 laps.

Comparing with the GT5 Vettel Challenge the new ones was very easy ! I got the 3 golds with about 10 times. I'm still trying to get gold on GT5 and the times are much more harder to beat.
You are not alone (on GT5 RB challenges) :sly:

I honestly thought that gold on all 3 vettel events was easy and did them within the first 5 attempts on each of them. Gt5 was 10 times harder than gt6, in fact gt6 has been too easy to platinum.

I have a DFGT in mint condition for anyone interested...I just upgraded to the Fanatec stuff...

Vettel cheated too.
Monza and Spa went well, but Suzuka...:banghead:

I believe this bastard have a "smoke button" at Suzuka.
Every single time I came closer, bang, smoking rear tyres on my face and there was I, looking for some track reference in mid corner until I find a good piece of sand.

Ok then. I paid back in a chicane.

I cleaned them at the first attempt ( didnt know you could cheat and was expecting penalties if went off track ) But I sure do cheat now to earn cash.
