On my way to check the crab traps I caught this. Taken with my phone whilst going 30 knots.

And I caught some nice crabs. Here's one of them.

I also caught this little guy sitting on my wall. Anyone know what he's called?

Got a Canon EOS Rebel T5 with a pair of lenses for my birthday just before our trip to Universal Studios. In all, got over 400 pictures from the 3 day trip process when I find some free time. But this one is one of my favorites.

This is my first time putting effort into actually taking good pictures and not just run of the mill family point and click stuff. Once I get these done and a few more taken I'll start up an album thread. Primarily I'll be focusing on nature and automotive pics.
Anyway, here is that pic. And if you are near the Orlando area, Diagon is by far the best thing going on in Universal.

These were taken on a high speed train going upwards of 200km/h.

I thought this was pretty cool. I took these two photos 2 years apart and I captured two completely opposite settings with the dramatic skies.

Edit: More pictures I took from my trip to England. Mostly from the Peak District.

I was practicing panning shots at a car show this morning. A lot of them... eh, sucked but I like this one. Some of it's kind of in focus :D Edited to bring out more of the car's color.

I find panning shots is pretty hit-and-miss; as much as I have gotten accustomed to only shooting in RAW these days I'm going to experiment with JPEGs again so I have a larger buffer and margin for error.

In other news though, took the 10-20mm for a spin again earlier in the week, this time for a significantly smaller Australian version of the Gumball 3000:

I've finally finished all of my pictures from the summer. I had finished editing a while ago but I never got around to uploading to Flickr.

looks like you had a pretty clear window

looks like you had a pretty clear window
Yup! It was great. But after a few minutes one of the flight attendants came over and told me to close the window shade. All I could think afterwards was "everyone's missing out on the amazing view!"

As I don't have my dslr with me most of the times I still make a lot of photos, with my phone.. Sometimes they turn out to be pretty nice and capture a moment I wouldn't have had otherwise :)

I might have posted this one before, can't remember but I just like it so much. Taken in August 2015:

Recently I applied epoxy resin to my finished closet doors. My father was releasing the trapped oxygen with the blow torch and I took the opportunity to capture the release.

It was my first time shooting a light source, but they turned out alright. I mean, in terms of efficiency, around 40 out of 400-500 photos is pretty bad but at least I enjoyed doing it.

Anyway, my ABSOLUTE favorite is this one:

When it comes to flames, they're kind of like clouds, essentially. So what the flame signifies is up to the viewer, but this one hit me.

What I see is a woman emerging out of the main flame. To me, that has a lot of meaning. I'd like to hear your interpretations of the image.

More flames here

Anyway, enough "poetry". Edited some of my fall pictures.

Learned the hard way to move fast when taking pictures. A lot of missed opportunities due to the fading light.

@SPhilli911 I've never seen a sheep that majestic before. I can now understand why people set up altars and worshipped animals :P

I don't really do human subjects very often, but this was a neat moment I got to capture.

I was at the Ferrari Finali Mondiali (World Finals) in Daytona, FL with a friend and his family where his dad was reunited with Phil Bachman, a Ferrari collector who gets the last yellow example of every car that interests him. They hadn't seen each other in years, and since then Phil had gotten in rough shape and was bound to this scooter. When they shook hands, Phil wouldn't let go as they talked for 5 minutes or so while they caught up. For guys that hadn't seen each other since my friend and his dad pushed this Enzo into the back of a trailer 10 years ago, they talked like they were best friends. It was really neat.
