When I was in the plane, it was very foggy on the ground, but shooting through the plane's window just destroyed the contrast and white balance. I tried to fix it in Lightroom but it just looked sort of wrong.

I'll just settle with this one. Left it for too long:

Not entirely pleased, with the outcome as it's not as dramatic as I had envisioned, but I think the selection of layers I stacked together gets the job done.

I got a media pass to get on the track. It was a lot fun! It was cloudy in the morning, but later in the day the sun came out so it was difficult to shoot at slower shutter speeds. I couldn't go smaller than F11 because Sony's phase detection AF stops working.

I was at this turn called the "sinkhole", because the track goes through this huge pit. It was like a mini corkscrew at Laguna Seca. The drop seems small in these pictures, but it's actually pretty big. I decided to use a wider lens to get more of it.

After a while, I decided to go back to the longer lens as I noticed the auto focus kept hitting on the fences instead of the car.

I noticed the auto focus also kept hitting on the drivers inside the car rather than the car. Crazy!

In the morning as I was heading there, I saw this stanced Z4 heading to the event, not tasteful.

Went to an Old Skool N New Age modified show on Saturday and while I was mainly focussing on details due to the prevailing harsh sunlight, I'm particularly fond of this shot I got earlier in the morning. 3 frames - background, flash on the rear of the bike and flash on the side of the bike.

And then this is the RS2000 Escort next to it, one frame with flash lighting up the front of the car and natural light on the side:

Nice Share. we Love it .I thought I'd get my eye in with it first with my usual experimental subjects, and I immediately loved using it, however as you will probably see in the first photo of my girlfriend's derpy cat in particular,- công ty dịch thuật midtrans dịch thuật tại Sài GònI was a little off with my manual focus which was of course compounded by the fact that he never wants to sit still! Even coming from my 50mm f1.8D nailing that focus point is something that I need to get used to.

Hi all! New arrival on the forum and I have just spotted this thread and started looking through it. Some great pictures in the last few pages!

I am a keen amateur motorsport photographer, I shall try not to bombard the thread with pictures but here are a few of my faves from the last couple of years...

@tbtstt that Astra panning shot is just gorgeous 👍

Came back from a week vacation in Myrtle Beach. Editing my batch of photos... I didn't really get to shoot a lot but I'm happy with the few shots I got.

Also upgraded my camera; got an aftermarket battery grip for it. Came with a remote and two batteries. Only cost me $55 as opposed to the original Nikon MB-D15 grip that costs $249 just for the grip itself.

My panning pictures have always been at 1/80 because of my Sony's autofocus limitations. It uses phase-detection at anything bigger than f/11. If I make the aperture smaller than f/11 it changes to contrast auto focus on only the first picture of a burst. If I go slower, it becomes way too overexposed. I was planning on getting a ND filter to help, but I don't think I'll be going to the track for a while so I'm going to wait.
