Some great shots, but the Viper is my favourite by default: I love a Viper!

Went to Firle Beacon in the UK last weekend, where they were running a new car festival. Great selection of rally and rallycross cars in attendance, few favourites...

...unfortunately it took me a while to find some good spots, so not much variety in my pictures. Least I know where to start if they run it again next year!

I got really lucky with the auto white balance in this shot. The camera sensor fully focused for a moment and gave me a clear shot of the moon instead of a less sharp image with a yellow tint.

Not a bad shot for it being: a) hand-held with in-body stabilisation, b) digital zoom, and c) 200ish Kb file size.

Metadata states:

A snapshot I took yesterday evening during my current stay in Norway at Toras fort. There will probably ber more shots following, since I'll stay here until September 16th and I'll be visiting Gatebil Festival this weekend.

Edit: Here are some more shots I took today at some remote cabin in the woods.

So, here's another post from my Norway trip. A bit late, since I had to (actually still have to) deal with my left knee that I thoroughly 🤬-ed up at the event I took the photos at. Still a ton of pics left that I need to go through and edit, but here are some that I already selected.

I had been planning to go to another grasstrack event last weekend, but then I was told that the latest RCM build would be making its debut at Brands Hatch, and so I rather quickly changed my plans...

...it only ran for half the day, but Gobstopper 3 absolutely blitzed the entire Time Attack field. Can't wait to see more from this car.

Also very cool to see the original (and still the best looking) RCM Gobstopper doing a few demo laps.

Can't believe it has been 15 years since this car first appeared on track.

The Gobstopper looks absolutely mental.

The first couple of photos from Sunday's NASCAR Whelen Euro Series event at Zolder. Will post a couple more as soon as they are uploaded to Flickr.

And yes, the main sponsor on the #54 is exactly what it sounds like. 😅

Went to France for the last round of the 2022 French Rallycross Championship at Dreux. My first time at the circuit and, although I wasn't too sure about it, I ended up really liking it once I saw a bit of racing. Took quite a few pictures, few favourites...

Last motorsport of the year for me at the finale of the 5 Nations British Rallycross Championship at Lydden Hill. Conditions were pretty grim (so bad that the second day of racing got cancelled). Got a few alright shots...

...but not as many keepers as I'd like. Now the long wait for motorsport to get underway again next year!
