For the love of god please dont let monaco be another 70lapper this season.

Just a question, but what's the general time to hit for Monaco? I'm in the 1:35's and 1:36's right now in the BMW.

I was just going to ask that...
Last night I managed to hit 1:34, but still don't know how long the tires will last.

By the way, may I suggest we scale this race like F1 does between Monaco and other races?
F1 rules state that race distances are between 305-310km, but in Monaco they run 260km (~85%).

In our case this would translate in a race distance of 213km (64 laps).
Opinions please...

No, we did that last season. It was like 2h 15m. :banghead:

1h30 for lmps would be good for me.

I got another question for ya, actually, its a tuning set up problem I'm having, that I just cannot get my head around.

So, I got a Viper SRT10 Coupe (Rolex Series) and I'm having a little trouble with the front tyres fading faster than the rears on Suzuka. Now, the biggest problem here is that I know that the car will understeer because of the degradation, but the car is understeering under acceleration anyway. I'm finding myself losing over a second per lap too, moreso as the understeer kicks in deep from laps 3 onward.

Any possible way I can get that front end to turn in better whilst finding a way to save the front tyres from wear?

We would have to see your setup first to find any clues to fix the problem. I like to use LSD and ARB to fix any under/over steer issues.

The suspension is set uplike this so far:

Springs: 10.5 / 13.0
Ext. Dampers: 7 / 7
Comp. Dampers: 6 / 6
Anti-Roll: 5 / 5
Camber (-): 1.0 / 1.0
Toe: -0.10 / 0.20

Diff: 5 / 15 / 10

My first thought would be to lower the extension/compression for the front. If its set too high the car will understeer and eat tires. A good rule of thumb is to set your dampers in accordance with your spring rate.

Ditto what Kev said. And I typically like to have the ARB softer in the rear for a FR car.

Monaco isn't my favorite track. I'll be gritting my teeth through this one.

I use a higher rear brake balance. Something like 4/7. Roll bars I usually keep low. Like 3/2 for road cars. And I usually go the opposite on the spring rates with the front a little higher than the rear. 12.0 11.2 or something. I always use the same values with most of the cars since they're all the same weight.

Stiff ARBs & a bit too low on accel sensitivity.

Try lowering your roll bars, and allowing a little more accel diff...

I've retuned the suspension and rol bar settings slightly. Made the front softer all round and lowered both roll bars.

Springs: 10.5 / 12.5
Ext. Dampers: 6 / 7
Comp. Dampers: 5 / 6
Anti-Roll: 4 / 4
Camber (-): 0.5 / 0.5
Toe: -0.20 / 0.20

Diff: 5 / 20 / 10

I did have 5 / 15 / 10 on the LSD and kept the rear ARB at 5, and that seemed to have the nose nicely poised and keep the car's front tyres alive. I get really bad understeer into Degners 1 and 2, but I'm not sure if that's me getting into the corner WAY too fast or not.

Degners...? Corners...? Not sure I understand...

Same here...I'm wondering if those are the names of the corners?

edit - beat me to it. Dont know if your doing it this way. But its best to tune one part of the suspension first. For me, I usually tune whatever I think needs attention, take it on the track for 3 laps, then adjust until I am satisfied.

Yeah they are, the double right hander before the hairpin.

If entrance understeer is your problem, bump up the rear brake bias or lower the front perhaps.

M3 = throttle under steer

It really depends on what the weight balance is, if most of the weight is in the front then that would work. But for cars that are heavier in the rear you would want a higher spring rate in the rear to keep a balanced setup.

So I'm hearing 1:34 is the pace for GT class so far?

I just did a 132.8 in my online lounge, not sure how it is on tire wear yet but thats the best ive done so far. ill send you the specs Flyin.

I exit the competition.

That's too bad PAWEL, we had some good battles.

OK. First off, I don't remember actually signing up for this series or not, but I did fix my PS3 a few days ago, and it looks like it's running just fine. If it is too late to sign up, do you mind if I work as the pace car if space permits? If it's not too late, what cars for each class are still available?

We really need all the people we can get in LMP. Another driver just dropped out. Maybe we should add "LMP Slots Open" in the thread title?
