That's because I haven't raced.

You had enough points to be in front of gatrs, at Monaco. When you say "I haven't raced." you mean "I haven't [finished.]" You lose really badly, feel sad, and quit. Then, you come on here, b***h about me, and feel complete again. :irked:

We know Cow, you and gta did well in the 458 last season. Plus when we reach the end of the season the worst 2 races get dropped which will make for a big change in the standings. Considering after you take out my DNS and DNF my worst finish is a single 2nd place @ indy. So dont get too caught up in what the points say just yet.

GT5 not worth it. Get mad at the disconnect gods but let the racing incident stuff get settled by stewards and forget it, move on to the next one.

Dude, by my account no one else is cussing at you and making personal jabs. Just chill out and accept that fact mistakes were made, the more you talk the deeper the hole gets.

Uploading a vid to youtube of my shiny new GT Planet porsche in rfactor at sebring. It's taking forever and has a weird song i don't remember adding, but I'll give you guys a linky when it finally goes up.

Yo, Storm- when I hit you (if I hit you) I didn't get any bump. I think lag may have been messing round. You had problems didn't you? Same with others in the room. I think all the extras joining in the middle of the race didn't help either. Every time someone joined the screen would 'jump'.

 at all the people viewing the thread and eating their popcorn.

👍

Cowboys, you started about six positions ahead of where you qualified.
So none of this should have happened at all had you started where you were supposed.

All this can be solved if we do a simple SINGLE FILE START. I always duck in behind the car in front of me when starting a race, not staggered, not side by side, not giving the lead car a bumper.

*Your front bumper should not be past the rear bumper of the car in front of you

Problem Solved, lets line up right from now on so we dont have this issue anymore

Yes, exactly. Stick to your positions until you reach the very first turn. Then you may overtake someone.

What were the Qualifying positions, actually?

?!?!?
You never told me you were making a GTP skin?
Do. Want.
Make sure you can see the exterior in the video too. :sly:

I don't think anyone was near their position.
:scared:

Off toooo....? Spa?

I know I was and Sin was. I believe you're the only one that wasn't as a matter of fact.

So, you're going to take out people's worst finishes? Oh, how fair, to those of us who consistently finish well, but, don't win. I mean, obviously, you're pretty much surely the season winner, in that case. Congrats.

This rule had better not apply to the manufacturer's championship, too, or I might not even come back. This race has really pi**ed me off, and if there's no hope in the points standings, and no hope to win a race, except at Le Mans and Fuji, what am I doing here?

Yep actually a guy at Champion Motorsports made it for me. I just gave him an idea and he ran with it. Turned out great. Wish we could skin in GT5...

Dude, you are freaking the heck out here. As has shown in the past, these kinds of arguments don't end well (sugarglider, mitch, several others).

The "drop 2" rule has ALWAYS been in this series, since season one. It's in the OP. It's for people who sometimes work or have other engagements, get disconnected, etc. It's so people can have fun and still contend while having a life that may get in the way. And as I said, it's nothing new.

It won't mess anything up that bad, if you consistently do well. Everyone will have the same number of "drops" so if you get a 2nd or 3rd and a bunch of poles, it will come down more to your poles. Which is still good for you.

I dunno, kind of silly to keep raging. It is a game after all. And the rules are for everyone, not for people who lose to have an unfair advantage. With this or any aspect of the series, consistency is your friend. Those who aren't consistent won't do well. Look at me. :sly:

ALMS Rules Page 1

Disconnection Forgiveness: There will be a time where Disconnections are inevitable during racing. If you are victim and have finished at least 75% of the race, the points will be half of your final position.

Performance Forgiveness: If you performed miserably on some races, the first 2 races that you did worst will be dropped. However this will not be ruled in until season ends.

Its mainly for people who cant make a race or have a disconnect like a few drivers have had already. Instead of penalizing them for something out of their control, we created a forgiveness rule. If you're "consistent" then you should be able to accumulate enough points to stay at the top.

Not if you win every race except Indy, miss two, and ta-da, those two races disappear. I mean, really, I have no hope in this series, if every race, I manage a top five, but, never win. Why not? Because you win every race, Kevin, and your series, as a result, is boring. Why would anyone want to race, just to watch the same guy win?

Not sure anymore what your argument is. That Kevin did something wrong by doing well?

No, that I'm going to lose two fifth places, and he's not going to lose any points, in actuality, since he's been d/cd and DNS one race. So, while I've consistently finished from 3rd-5th, he's won every race but Indy, and doesn't even lose points for the races he's not in.

Let's see:

Daytona: Kevin 1st
Indy: Kevin 2nd
Suzuka: Kevin 1st
Monza: Kevin 1st
Monaco: Kevin DNS
Laguna Seca: Kevin DNF

Daytona: MrMelancholy15 5th
Indy: MrMelancholy15 5th
Suzuka: MrMelancholy15 4th
Monza: MrMelancholy15 4th
Monaco: MrMelancholy15 3rd
Laguna Seca: MrMelancholy15 4th

Excuse me, for saying that it's not looking good for me, but, IT'S NOT.

The only people who stand any chance at winning are Kevin and Yera, and I'm sick of watching the same people win, and running hour and a half long races, just to be mired in the middle of the field, and not even really have any battles.

Try winning races? I dunno what to say, finishing 5th sounds cool but when there are only 9-10 GT cars in the field you're middle of the pack. The rules were set before you joined, before you go blaming the rules you should look in the mirror and figure out how to be a better driver. You came into this series with a lot of talk and i havent really seen it translate on the track yet. If your plan was to win the series by taking 4th and 5th while other drivers dont show or get disconnected then you're sadly mistaken.

Dude, I don't mean that. I mean, you win every race, and then, you get away with your two bad races, while I've already had 5 bad races. The only race where some retarded things haven't happened to me, costing me huge time, were Monaco and Laguna Seca. And, there, the corners are pretty common, and the speeds are low, because the straights are short. So, yeah, you're right, I haven't been stunning you guys, yet. But, that's only because my car's pretty heavy and you're winning everything. I mean, what does a normal person have to do? A person, who, for example, has a car that's 62 kg heavier?
