Ummmm, we're all losing that amount of time doing pits to you know? I probably did as many trips to the pits at you did, so that counts for sweet F.A. You need to go back to school, son. :D

Everyone had a legitimate shot, but if you take out the flaws of the race, and look at how everyone was performing in that regard, then it'd be clear to see who would've placed where.

I can't help it sometimes, Seth. I tend to get sick of how plain retarded some people can be; grown men especially. I'm allowed to express my opinon, and I do it a bit too much sometimes, but if people don't like it then tough. I'm not out here to diss people, but if you say something I find pretty ****ing stupid then it's likely I'll SAY it's pretty ****ing stupid and explain WHY its pretty ****ing stupid.

Don't worry, I do this face-to-face with people too IRL, its not like I'm hiding behind a facade of sorts just because I'm on an internet forum.
 
Every driver has an excuse of why they didnt win, we all do it. But how about some appreciation for the guys who actually produced, instead of trying to water down someone else's good race. I know ive complained from time to time, but really no one cares and nor should they.
 
Good point. I originally said I think I COULD have won. Not saying I WOULD. I'm not bragging either. It was a possibility that went away with two bad decisions.

I agree. If I would have had more than 10 minutes to set up my car :lol: No big deal I jumped in the series at the end anyway. I did win Fuji though :)
 
That's fair enough, and I did mention you had a good race in the Vantage, and made it very difficult for me to get past you without really having to think miles ahead, literally, even WITH the outright faster car. Actually, now I know the specs it was better than I thought. I was testing the Vantage at 550 bhp and 1400 kg at Madrid, so I was curious.

Driving error and pressure did me in at the end. I'll take it as a learning curve.
 
I guess if I took the weight off it might brake better. I added it +50 position to get 50/50 distribution.

I added all of my ballast +50 to the 458. The balance was loke 47/53 or something like that after the ballast was added.
 
Sometimes you need that 50/50 distribution though, don't you? From a stability and cornering viewpoint.

The Aston is 51/49 stock so it might not be a huge difference.
 
Yeah, it's only 1%, some FR's have much more at the front and still perform well.

I'ma have a butcher's at that race again now; so close towards the end. I actually think Nurburgring GP was my best race this season, from a consistency point of view.

What does everyone else think they're best race was, and why?
 
I didn't have a good race this season, IMO. I've just drifted from consul racing and haven't spent enough time to get consistent and better. I think it's an issue of dividing my time and waning interest in GT5. I feel myself steadily improving on rFactor, but almost none of it applies when I cross back over. Nothing feels the same especially the way tires behave. So I think I actually got worse in this series.
 
My best race was Fuji. I won. Nuff said
 
Sorry for being quiet for so long, but was too tired to even turn on my computer saturday night.

Answering the question about my best race, if it wasn't for a stupid ISP problem, it would have been Monza, as for the time I got disconnected, I was well placed, with improved tire wear as the car got lighter and with only 1 stop left before the end. I chose that particular race, because it wasn't exactly a track where the Ford excelled.

As for Season 5, unless something changes in between, you can count me in.

I think my best race was Madrid, because i didnt make any mistakes at all and won by a wide margin. Daytona was my favorite race and Suzuka was the most surprising race i won, thought for sure the Ford would take that one.

One of the greatest performances of all time I believe.

Can we run mandatory RH's next season? Or is everyone taking a break for a little bit? I know that everyones summer is going to get a little hectic. Start back in the fall when everyone is back indoors again?

I agree wth this IMO there is too much difference in performance on softs between the GT class cars. Been running RH and no TC in fiagt and its worked out great racing is close and its been a blast.
 
Hards aren't too bad, but maybe mandating mediums and hards be used could throw some spice in the races. I think using race cars wouldn't be a bad idea for GTE, the lack of Ferrari and Porsche is the detriment of that idea though. But 475hp 1245kg is the basis of the class IRL, and weve got plenty of race cars in GT5 that are or were represented in the real life ALMS.

I can't do any of their races in July, but maybe in August. Seriously contemplating moving the series to rFactor. I believe there's a website specifically for setting up series and whatnot. Pay them and we use their servers. How many of you guys would be interested in it?
rFactor does NOT require a high end PC AT ALL. As long as it has some version of Windows on it. Even if you used a Mac with bootcamp or whatever it's called it's supposed to work.

Maybe we should add the rFactor series instead of moving it?

Spent about a good 3 hours trying to tune the 458 yesterday. I get more satisfaction dropping times there than in GT5. Still about 2 seconds off pace though. Was testing on GP/F. Havent even tried to see how many laps the tires would last yet. I'm pretty sure its more than 7 laps though. :lol:

Pretty sure its the Enduracers mod. Gatrs will know for sure though. I've only downloaded the ones he told me to. Well, besides the tracks. Lemme know when hou start testing. So I can steal your setup. :)
