But what if I still have not updated my game since the purchase and finally I get a good connection so that I can update... Will it all come in one big package or will I have to download different updates released at different times???

As I recall there have been 2 major updates and 2 small updates or something (including the one that'll come tomorrow).. ??

I don't think that this is an 'update' per say.. Is this not simply an update to the 'events' in the online mode?

There is a "start" and "end" date to each event and they have always been about 2 weeks in duration.. But because of some problems, PD have been putting back the 'end' day of the CURRENT events for a few weeks.

This to me looks like we are simply getting a new set of 'events' and I am not expecting any bug fixes or features.

At best we are going to get some events which allow us to do new things (i.e a F1 Race), and thats about it

Just read the ingame news..

Its an update to the online events only ! Theres nothing for download at all.
Simply some new events...

They delayed the update of these events several weeks due to a research of which ones are accepted by the players and maybe looking at the problems occuring during the races, such as standing starts messup, penaltys, ramming etc.

Now they put up something which will be accepted by even more of the players...

For me I hope for:

Race events for the F1
Race events on Eiger Nordwand
Race events with more than 20 laps
Race events for one type of car (manufacturer events)
Time-Trial and Race events for cars at max performance (1000 PP, but no F1)
Race Events on Suzuka short

Yes, I agree, the news are clear.

Refreshed events... as in number of events, number of laps, tracks/track configurations and PP. These are the changes to be definitely made.

Their is some room for surprises but along those lines. Like a 900PP, or mono car event. Like F1 only or tuned Clio only. That would be easy to implement and interesting. To see exactly who is the fastest with the same "tool". 12 GT LM or 12 Tuned Elise in a track, and let's see who is the fastest man :-)

I for one would really like that.

Simple limitations that can make very different, fun and challenging online races.

as long as they imp0lement F1 on Fuji speedway F i will be happy cuz im sure i could always finish first in it. it would just need to be longer the 10 (probably longer then 15 really) cuz passing in F1 properly takes a really long time sometimes.

If you are going to use it, don't you think everyone else will too? lol I think its going to hornets nest if they let the F1 in online events. There will not be a point to the racing if everyone uses a F1. If they implement the F1 then it will be a F1 race only. lol How is the loved GT-R going to be able to caught up? lol

On a lighter note, I am with you on the part about being able to use it against other players..Just not with other stock cars.

I think that's what he meant, an F1 only race at Fuji Speedway F. There is no point in the F1 being allowed in any races other than F1 only races online.
