I know I'm not the only one out there,

Just want to hear some stories of the things you've smashed while playing GT5 and getting frustrated.

I'll go first, a GT5 disk, 2 DS3 controllers and recently my DFGT has stopped working...

Nothing.

I'm a grown man and don't smash up electronics when I don't get my own way.

This. Im only 17 and tend to get angry easily, I still dont smash things. I keep at it until things go the way I want them to, or I realize I may need to come back some other time as I cant quite get it currently.

I don't really get mad playing GT5, unless I make a really careless mistake. I've gotten angry playing other games but I've never broken a controller or anything over it.

DS3 controller - ~$60
GT5 disk - ~$60 new
Wheel - >$100

No thanks, I'd rather spend that money once!

Couldn't agree more. I bet you most of these people that have smashed or broken things in their little fits of anger didn't have to pay for them in the first place.

How do you even smash the disc itself? Have a rage, eject the disk then brake it? That's a serious anger issue.

I got angry at a game once. It broke. Don't get me wrong, I didn't break it because I was angry - I was angry because my cousin broke IT. As well as the hand held console that contained the game. £120 down the *******!

I'm sure there is others who get angry while playing a game like you mention. Not me though for sure. I only get annoyed with myself for bottling it / running out of skill, never think about trying to break stuff. Just have another few attempts until I get close or better.

Count to ten first, and I second that I don't smash stuff I paid for, or at all really (I'm not a hooligan).

Other than a bunch of loud and extremely foul language, the worst I ever do with games is to hit the PS button and exit without saving LOL.

Lol, I was thinking the same thing, I have been extremely frustrated at times too, best thing is to walk away as you'll never perform well while in a bad state if mind. Go back later and get it on your first or second attempt 👍

I have an amazingly short fuse every one in a while, but I can't say I've broken anything (while playing GT5) ...
Call of Duty how ever is responsible for a controller and Turtle Beach.

Learn to control your temper otherwise gaming is going to get pretty expensive for you. I know them Turtle Beach's arn't cheap.

Yesterday I was getting really frustrated because I kept spinning. I finally lost my patience completely, took my DFGT wheel and threw it on the couch.

See, I know my limits. I've never broken a controller, but I have thrown many. I just always make sure there is something soft nearby. :)

Just make sure you are 100% certain its soft. Ive cracked once, went and punched my desk chair. You know, you sit on it for hours at a time and it doesnt get uncomfortable, one would think it would be quite soft. Ended up in hospital with a broken hand. Sometimes it pays to pat it down first before you throw objects on it, just to be safe

I've never gone off the handle playing GT5. COD on the other hand....I've chucked my controller a few times, but I always make sure to aim it at my bed. Controller still works fine. :sly:

GT5 is not really a violent game. I have not smashed anything while playing a game. I did get caught saying something I was not supposed to say when I was young and playing NFS, but that is another story.

The F word? Er Forza.

HA ha, guess I'm the only one then. Guess I need to find Jesus and some professional help then...

Nah. We've all had a short fuse at one point. It's nothing to be ashamed of nor does it require professional help. When you start to become mad, you can try different ways of calming yourself down.

Here's one of many examples of websites which can give you tips on keeping your cool. 👍

The only thing I smash when I get mad in a game is the quit button or the power button on the console.

If I get seriously pissed I just take a pair of pliers I have sitting around and destroy a pen or random meaningless piece of plastic (Drink bottle, cap, old pencil, etc.) to get some anger out.

But taking out anger on a wheel, a gaming console, a disk or any other thing that holds some value is utterly pointless, and will just make you more angry in the end when you calm down and realize that you just threw some odd number dollars down the drain, that number being with the way OP and other angered fools described in the triple digits

I don't get angry at the game, I get angry with the people who play it, there's a brake for a reason...
