in arcade mode[pros] when i beat a race how do i andvance to the next class? When ever i finish a race i go back to the title screen and it still says Class A:confused: am i supposed to push next?

Go back to the race selection screen when you have finished all races on at least easy mode in Arcade mode and you'll find that there are 6 more tracks for you to choose from.

Oh no! Flame!

OTOH, if he means he's won the races on Pro difficulty, I wouldn't make any bets about the game's behavior. AIUI, win on any other level than Pro, and you can get tracks open, but Pro gets you nothing.

Actually, I believe that IS the case - doing Arcade mode in Pro gets you squat.

Doesn't it get you percentage increments? And also, can't forget the extra Arcade garage cars. :p

Famine is correct, doing the Pro level races in Arcade mode does not have any affect on your game status, and will not earn you credits or more cars available in arcade mode.

I didn't think he (Lumpwin) was talking about Pro mode...I misunderstood. I thought he was saying "Pros"...Don't know what he meant about that though. :odd:

There are 3 regular levels in Arcade mode: Easy, Medium, and Hard. You have to beat all races at Hard level to get 100%. If you run races on Hard level first, it automatically credits you with having run Easy and Medium levels.

There is also a Professional level that is not regularly visible. Hold down L1 + R1 (or L2 + R2, I never remember) and "Professional" will appear in your difficulty menu. Running the races on Pro level does not count towards your completion at all.

Every time you finish a section of races in the medium and hard levels, which are seperated by an alphabetical code, you will win one or two extra cars available for use in arcade mode.

Yep, and the further and harder you get the better arcade cars you get.

And for full completion you also need to do that damn freakin' time trial races, I have done all but stuck on the last complex string ... or was, until someone wiped my whole game ... now I started over again.

Ouch. Who wiped it? And to loosely quote vat_man, "Where is their body buried?"

Well, what happened was, I went out with buddies, my girlfriend and her buddies were at home, with their boyfriend's as well, they wanted to play a CD in the PS2, and somehow from there my game is gone ... so who exactly did it I don't know, but you know how guys are ... always know everything you know ... ya what a bummer, I was on 76% complete ... and now I am on 12% so far, after starting again ... If I knew who it was, that body would be 6 feet deep long ago ... :banghead: haha, oh well, I now started over, and I only have cars I did not have in my previous game ! Weird but true ! I just took a diffrent "path" through the game now.

I thought of waiting for GT4, but I just can't sit around and not race a few races every night ! So I started over ...

Heh, just take a machine gun and level the house...would've saved you all the trouble of starting again. It would've been bound to be in the wreckage of the house. :p

Good luck with your new save anyway.
