the gas pedal is very light, a bit lighter than i think it should be. brake is okay, its stiff and the range is a bit shorter and it feels realistic. the clutch feels good because pressure reduces as you press it down, but its heavier than the gas pedal.

the pedals seem to lose a bit of their range over time though :/

Either G25 pedals or clubsport is what I would choose. The stock fanatec pedals is okay for arcade racers and such but I don´t like how the pots are secured apart from the flimsy throttle. The pots lack precision too 64 iterations is a bit low.

G25 pedals will last for a very long time and from what I have seen on the CSP pedals I see no reason why they shouldn´t either.

Ever try using the extra spring on the gas pedal? It might make a difference.

I think he comments on the older Fanatec pedals not the clubsport.

I did some comparisons now 1.55.436 CSP pedals and 1.55.471 CST pedals. Camaro at Barcelona in STCC so you see how slow I am. For some reason my tire economy seem to be better with the CSP pedals and I felt safer during braking. Though the CST pedals is more immersive so dunno which weapon to pick :)

Yeah, I think this would probably be the option I would choose... if I could find the G25 pedals for sale anywhere anyway.

i have a question that i havent read anywhere. On the CSP does the clutch pedal have the same declining force as the regular peddles? not the amount of force but that same clutchy loss of resistance.

Got some problem now. About to tweak the throttle screw to get a stiffer throttle. But that reduced the travel to 75 % and there is no way to get full travel back???

I had the same problem when I turned the nut to increase the tension on the throttle spring. When you turn the nut to increase the tension on the spring you must be sure that the throttle rod doesn't unscrew from the hinge mount on the throttle. If the rod backs out/unscrews from the hinge mount it then limits the throttle travel in game. To fix this I ended up taking the pedals apart and putting lock-tite (or superglue) on the rod where it screws into the throttle assembly. Problem solved 👍

On another note - Has anyone tried the new CSP firmware that is supposed to increase the braking response? I'm going to try loading it today. Hopefully this will help to get the brake pedal to work in a better fashion, because right now it is far from being right IMO.

For those unfortunate to get a faulty one delivered, have you received a date or time/turnaround for replacement.

Wondering how long repairs/replacement may take.

Thanks I suspected it was something like that. Going to try it on the third hole since I want shorter pedal movement but not quite this short.

I tried the new firmware and and it removes the deadzone. Though you may not be able to use deadzone0 setting for example. I had to use the highest deadzone10 setting because the pedals put some pressure on the loadcell anyway. But I am at second hole with the longer metal rod. Seems to be enough settings to please anyone. If you are on PC you can of course add deadzones in games but more convenient set it on the pedals themselves. As I got it now it´s quite good. I can rest the foot on the brake and apply slight pre pressure which allows you to go faster on the brake just how I want it :) Tried playing with the pot metre and it surely helps getting the right max pressure you want too. Good function since for example if you run LFS and rfb you may want to reduce pressure. Or just arcade racers where you are supposed to be 100 % on the brake when using it so it´s very handy.

still un answered :indiff:

@ oqvist: at least one person's listening to me :p ok well im gonna order a Turbo S CS edition now

Actually the clutch spring system is different form the standard pedals and the CSP does not have the same declining force but they still feel good.

Is there any people here used to work with those magnetic pots? I tried the third hole but the rod got stuck and I may have damaged the magnet some trying to remove it. I am back at second hole now but I get no throttle in the control panel. In Dx tweak 2 it´s jittery. At first all over the place then calming down somewhere in the middle. Still very jittery and it first goes up then back again so doesn´t quite work.

Do you need to install the rod with the magnet in one exact position and how on earth do you know what that is without 20 trial and errors? Or is my perhaps damaged magnet the culprit?

I imagine someone has already asked this, but this thread is huge, and I don't remember seeing it anywhere.

How does the clubsport pedals compare to the g25 pedals? I have them ordered with the turbo s wheel, but if they're not an improvement I could always drop the pedals and just use my g25 pedals with it.

All in all I expected alot beter reviews of the clubsport pedals. I haven't read anyone really being blown away by them yet. It seems like everyone is having a hard time getting them setup. I'm not much for tinkering with expensive toys, so should I stay away from them?

Most people are probably to busy tinkering with them I suppose. Stock settings for me is the best for throttle and clutch but the brake feel better for me in the second hole. They are reasonably easy to mod but maybe not the easiest to find the right setting. I ain´t blown away but then I have CST pedals and I have used G25 pedals (nixim brake modded two earlier) and Frex pedals. That doesn´t mean I am disappointed. For the price they are very good. I definiatly preferr them over the stock G25 pedals. I just have much better brake control with these. They are on par with the CST pedals surely in that regard which in term was a bit better then nixim modded G25 pedals.

Though as for realistic brake from my references the CST and nixim modded G25 pedals feels a bit more realistic on the brake. Hard to describe but apart from the short travel I run with it´s a bit to stiff. Throttle is just throttle if it´s smooth and precise with reasonable resistance it´s good. And it´s as silky smooth and precise as you could expect on any of these pedals. It´s not flimsy at all like the stock fanatec pedals absolutely rock solid. my behemoth CST pedals aren´t better in this regard say everything :)

To bad about unprotected wiring but if you avoid that pit fall I don´t see what would break on them unless you mod to heavilly lol

I would have hoped for some more fine tuning possible that is pretty much my only gripe. In stock they have brake movement as long as on the G25 which is way to much. and then they get very short in the second. I like short stiff brakes but would have been nice with even more adjustability. Without having to go buy longer or shorter rods.

Hope that helps.

It does, thanks. I really don't dislike trying to adjust my toys, I just don't really have the time to. I have a 3 year old little boy, who wants to be in the middle of everything I do, so trying to make adjustments to anything is hard for me.

guess im ordering the 911 Turbo now :p i like the idea of having a clutch that actually fells like a clutch

Thomas (Owner of Fanatec) is interviewed about the Turbo S wheel. (about two 3rds of the way through)

(I can finally prove to my roommate that I have been pronouncing "Fanatec" correctly all along)
