Thomas, thanks for your answer.

I suppose I can do the firmwareupgrade on a 32bit system and still use the pedals on my 64bit system, can't I ?

Regards

Sure you can use it on a 64bit system.

Thanks FANATEC guy for the RS wheel, CS Pedals, and Shifters, I am a happy customer. Me and my brother are buying Forza 3 so we will order the Turbo S wheel and dongle USB once the game is out. Could you give a bit of discount or at least free dongle USB? since I am the one of the first customers with the RS and Clubsport orders?
Thanks.

Fanatec Porsche Wheels FTW!

Dongle is included on turbo s normal package with pedals etc.

Yeah but I already have the CS pedals and the shifters, I do not want to pay for wheel and the plastic pedals that I will never use, I just need wheel and dongle.

@ Fanatec:

When you will be able to check if the Fanatec Porsche 911 GT3 RS Wheel will be compatible with the new GT5? Is the only thing that depends to buy it or not...:bowdown:

Thank you.

That is easy :) Until game arrives. I do not think PD will send prerelease copys to anyone. Of course you can allways ask them.

I don't think PD will... but I'm pretty sure that they will send some technical features to the software and hardware companies... I hope...

Agree, as well Fanatec should send PD a couple of wheels each, the RS, TURBO S, and the new Carrera wheel. As well make some kind of agreements that PD can use one or all of the wheels with GT5 and to be 100% compatible and have it's own menu systems.

So Fanatec? why not? I know you guys sing some deal with Forza team, I know that will shift more sales twords the TURBO S, why not make an official deal with PD to be their leading wheels? Who knows maybe PD will make you work on special GT version of a wheel? That will move even way more sales!!!

Heck I would buy another wheel if I know it's 100% compatible with GT5 and PD approved on their menu screen in GT5.

Forgive me for not spending hours trawling through search results but what is the general feeling on the Fanatec wheel vs the G25? Which is generally believed to be the better product? Thanks

They both have their advantages and disadvantages, it all depends on what you put most weight on Cost, availability, support, compatibility, size, feel etc.. the current Fanatec wheel are generally seen as specialist/enthusiast products whilst the Logitech products are more mass market.

What is this supposed to rival again? The FGT? Although that has a proper flappy paddle gearbox, where as this one gets an actual manual style gear box.

All the Fanatec wheels come with shifter paddles and can be bought with manual and/or sequential shifters and pedals (either standard or Clubsport). The Turbo S (multiplatform) and GT3RS (PC and maybe GT5) wheels are aimed a little higer than the G25/G27, which would be its closest rivals.

Thanks - much appreciated.

stodge just read the reviews out there. There is some spread around at nogripracing, here of course and the LFS forum for example. Take the time to go through this thread and others.

Redis review in particular is great :)

I just read on another forum that someone said they can confirm that Forza 3 is going to support the brake vibration function on the clubsport pedals.

Nice! Hope GT5 supports that as well.
Fanatec mention that there will be an UNKNOWN feature in FM3, I knew that was it. Oh and I bet you can turn on wheel Vibration to RPM, Gear Change, or Traditional GAS pressure. Working LED perhaps as well? : D

I suggest you consider looking at the link as I am currently canvassing for people to add any questions. They will get answered and be taken into account regards the upcoming comparison.

Upcoming Wheel Comparison - Your Questions!!!

So has anyone heard anything about the status on the June shipment? I haven't received any e-mail, and I don't know where I can check my order status. (is that even possible...?)

GT3RS or Turbo S?

Turbo S release date was pushed back to the end of September.

;)

Sorry, I meant the GT3RS (with clubsports). I read the expected delivery dates at Thomas' blog, but I haven't received any e-mails at since the order confirmation back in April.. should I be worried? (I'm in Europe BTW)

Thomas is reporting in his blog that they are going to start shipping U.S. orders of the GT3RS/Clubsport package from their U.S. wearhouse.

Submitted by Thomas on Thu, 08/13/2009 - 19:34.

Today we start shipping the Porsche 911 GT3 RS Clubsport edition from our US warehouse.

EU customers have to be a bit more patient as we are still waiting for the Clubsport pedals to get through customs. We will ship all open EU orders next week.

Also, they have dropped the price of the 911 Turbo Wheel (not the 911 Turbo S) to $249.95. It is only available in the U.S. now, but Thomas reports that
"This wheel is only available in the US for now but we will import the wheel to Europe later this year as it will be a good solution for PlayStation owners who do not care about the Xbox360 and prefer the wireless connectivity and the increased compatibility of the PWT on the PlayStation 3."

Do they ship the wheel and pedals together or separately (in Europe)? There was a guy who ordered only the wheel, and he received it today. (on virtual-racing.org)

I received an invoice today and notification that they are shipping it today, no tracking number though.

I am in the States, East coast so it will take a little bit before it gets here

When I Got my 1st badge of RS wheel it came 2 or 4 days or so after the Word form Fanatec that wheel will begin to ship. I got it faster then some guys in West Coast! lol. So Don't worry, even when it takes a week thats fast!

Great to see more of you guys getting yours soon, excellent!

I did a GT3RS pictorial guide for PS3 GT5P Setup.
Simple but might be helpful

Enjoy Your Wheels!

Hi GT3 Wheel's Owners,

Are you using your amazing wheel 👍 in a PS3 to play GT5P? I really want one GT3 wheel, but it's only to play GT5P and GT5 in the future and I need to know the compatibility issues...
I know Fanatec have the Turbo S for the PS3 but it's more expensive... more then my budget...

Can you help me?

Thank you,
