Thanks for posting that! Thats unfortunate. The wireless is probably what makes it so expensive.
That, and licensing.

UE669, but I'll have to check. It may just say "669". Granted there are two FW's with 669 in them. The newer version carries the prefix "UE" for (Ultimate Edition).
EDIT: I just checked, and the LCD says "669". Rest assured, it is not the same as the last firmware 669, as it has all the features showcased on the Carrera wheel in the Inside Sim Racing review.

Can you upload this firmware somewhere?
I think that's OK because Thomas posted this on his blog:
"I cannnot tell when the PWTS UE FW will be released so please try to get it from somewhere else."
Thank you.
Also, there was one USER comment talking about
CLUBSPORT SHIFTER
CLUBSPORT HAND BRAKE
you think its true? Because Thomas did mention they were working on something, and only testers and review guys with Fanatec and Logitech wheels will get hands on a unannounced product.. I was thinking some kind of improved shifter. so ClubSport Shifter and handbrake sounds plausible.
I suggested this a while back in this thread https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=124300
I have heard nothing since to make me think contrary!
You can clearly see what Fanatec is up to at any given time by visiting the link I posted before:
http://www.911wheel.de/?q=blogs/thomas
As you can see by scrolling down, both the Clubsport Shifter, and the Clubsport Handbrake are indeed in the works.

What many people dont know: Until 2004 Fanatec sold more wheels than anybody else and we were number one. We want to get back there!
All good ideas. I would add one thing, however.
The paddles need to be available in one to three different sizes, to accommodate various different wheel rim sizes (similar to Chillicoke's upgraded CF Paddles).

Yes indeed. I have been doing some testing with various games to make sure everything is at it should be.
If anyone has any questions about it, don't be afraid to ask. I've fiddled with all the new settings quite a bit. Tested with Enthusia, GT3/GT4/GT5, F1:CE, Ferrari Challenge, Forza 2/Forza 3, etc... (as well as some PC titles like RBR, LFS, and GTR2/GTR Evo)
Rest assured, you will all be very happy when it is released. I have yet to come up against a game that is not compatible. GT5plays like a dream now. No shaking on center, thanks to the new deadzone and linearity settings.

I got one, Do you know if the firmware is valid for the GT3RS? if not, are they working on one?
Thanks,
Great!!! Thanks a lot.
I've looked at Thomas blog but could not find anything regarding the GT3RS, only the PWTS.
Any idea when he plans on releasing it?
so...... how do I update my wheels firmware?
When you download the .zip for a firmware update, it contains a readme file that walks you through the process.
Most likely the FW will appear Here before anywhere else.
Most important things to remember:
Update Tool must be run as an "Administrator".
Make sure to close all unnecessary running programs (most importantly any antivirus programs).

You can't update the firmware on the GT3RS. Thomas said it a few times on his blog.
I use GameBooster to make sure all unnecessary processes are stopped before performing the firmware.
Thanks, so it's not out yet then?

As a suggestion perhaps Fanatec could consider selling a new wheel which is a competition based wheel and doesnt have the Porsche licensing/styling. Not sure this is possible with your current contract obligations if they even effect you to do non Porsche wheels or when that contract expires?
The only reason that works is because the game is programmed to output that data, I highly doubt GT5 or any console game will output that kind of data.Oh, hey Fanatec, how about something for PC and PS3 Instrument Cluster? Clocks and buttons? A panel that go on top of your wheels, I would love RPM and Speedometer gauge, heat fuel and oil guages, as well warning lights. I always seen videos on youtube with people building their own, but I never found an actual company to sell them. Would it be possible to make something and sell it for around 150 bucks and below?
