Antares Speed Factory is a tuning garage that aims to bring fun and fast tuned cars for everyone, most especially DS3 users. I can't and will not guarantee having the fastest tunes out there, but I'll be doing my best to make sure everyone will be having fun driving my tunes. Enjoy!

About Me
I've been around GT since GT1, but I've never really taken the game seriously until GTPSP, and that was actually how I ended up here in gtplanet, joining the Weekly Time Attack Challenge for GTPSP, where I enjoyed some success, winning 11 events and 2 session championships. I was only able to get a PS3 last year and played around offline with a used copy of GT5 until I was finally able to get my copy of GT6 early this year, and that's how I ended back here in gtplanet.

Currently, I'm competing in the WRS Time Trials, the GTP Nurburgring Weekly Challenge and just started participating in the FITT events. I think these events will help me improve both as a driver and a tuner. I've made some tunes during the time I've spent playing GT6 and I thought gtplanet's a good place to share them, which is why I've started this garage.

Tunes to see and expect
I'm a DS3 user, as such, all my tunes are done for and tested with the DS3. I highly appreciate feedback from wheel users, though, as it helps me gain an idea of what works for driving on a wheel.

I like to tune road cars a lot, whether it's for PP-restricted events or for a specific track, I'll really go out of my way to get a good tune done, and my road car tunes will almost certainly use Sports Soft tires and below. I'm not exactly a fan of the grip levels Racing tires have on road cars, though I will gladly use Racing tires on race cars as they are designed to be using slicks.

I'm a big Nurburgring nut so I'll definitely be putting up tunes that are made for running around the Nordschleife. It's a track I fell in love with ever since GT4 and most of my GT5 playtime was spent running around the Nurburgring.

I also enjoy drifting so I will be putting up drift tunes once I get the hang of tuning for mad slides. Right now, I'm still just experimenting with my own cars to see what works best when drifting.

As for tunes you won't see from me, you probably won't see drag tunes. I'm not a big fan of drag racing since I'm more of a racing/time attack guy.

Occasionally I will post seasonal event tunes, especially for race events, as I like to experiment with different cars during these events just to see how well they do (and easily farm some credits on the side).

Testing
I do a lot of testing on my own tunes as it also helps me get some seat time. I do this because my tunes aim for a certain handling feel, and I find it easier to make adjustments if I go and drive the car myself.

Tuning Guides
I don't think I can elaborate on my tuning style well enough, but most of my basics are taken from these awesome guides by equally awesome people!

Credits
At first, I was really hesitant to start my own tuning garage as I felt overwhelmed by the level of expertise here in gtp, but thanks to some people, I was able to gain enough confidence to go ahead and do it.

@hall90 for reviewing the first tune I posted here in GTP, the feedback inspired me to continue working on my tunes

@DolHaus @Otaliema for your guides and for welcoming me into the FITT events, thanks to you guys gtp just became a lot more exciting for me, it's as if WRS was just the tip of the iceberg
@Motor City Hami for that guide that I keep coming back to everytime I hit a snag in tuning

----

Once again, welcome to Antares Speed Factory, thanks for dropping by and I hope you enjoy the cars I have put up here.

Now then, LET'S GET THE TUNING STARTED!

Tuner Notes
When it comes to the Fit, I really wanted to keep it NA as much as possible. Just be careful on the throttle while turning, as too much power will spin the front tires and cause understeer. The car's good for 450PP events, and it easily got me gold in a few race and time trial seasonals.

Tuner Notes
This car's very agile, it turns quickly but holds on to the grip. Easily one of the best handling 550PP cars I've driven in this game. Initially, I wanted to keep this car NA, but it ended up too slow, plus the turbo gave enough power to really make the handling stand out.

Tuner Notes
My all-time favorite car, there was just no way I was not going to tune this. Although it's pretty heavy, it actually turns well, it's not really sharp on turn-in but it's very stable. Remember to be extra careful with the throttle especially out of slow corners because while the power and torque makes this car fly on the straights, it also makes the car a handful in technical sections.

Wouldn't have done this without your guide's help. 👍
I'm actually itching to put my tune for the current FITT event here already, but I've yet to really polish them.
Well get out the water and start a rubbin! I'm still trying to find my car -_- RL has been crazy for me lately.

SupraSZR_track.jpg

Tuner Notes
Unlike the RZ, I didn't really want to add ballast to the SZ-R to even out the weight distribution because the car's got less power, and it's actually still heavy without ballast. The car's still got a lot power and torque, though, so it's just like driving a matured Supra. Handling's somewhat better than the RZ, although you still have to watch for a little wheelspin out of slow corners.

Tuner Notes
This car turns and accelerates very quickly that it's almost a joke. All I had to do was make the rear end a little more calm through the turns to make it feel like a Super GT NSX. I also had to put in some weight on the fronts so the weight distribution evens out. This NSX will cakewalk 550PP seasonal races and gold times of super lap events.

Tuner Notes
There's no shortage of grip in this one. Just don't be too aggressive on corner entry as its easy to understeer if you go in too fast. Torque split is rear biased but there's just enough torque on the front tires to quickly accelerate out of corners. The power's always there when you need it so it's easy to charge in and brake very late into corner with this Evo VI.

Dude! I love how you gave each tune a proper and decent photo if I may add! They give the aura of a guaranteed tune that would not disappoint whoever tries it out! Awaiting your other tunes and including the release of your R33 TC tune as well.

You can actually find the R33 TC tune here if you want to see it, but I will not be releasing it here on the main tune page yet since the FITT event is still ongoing. I'm going to be waiting on feedback from fellow testers first because I might need to adjust some things when the results come in.

The current FITT is not a Blind test so you can post your FITT cars here in your garage anytime you want. Check out @shaunm80 he does that. I will do it as well.

Tuner Notes
This car feels like it's on skates, and not in a bad way. It's easy to get the tail out because it's got power but the slide is controllable. Trying to get fast times is quite challenging with these tires, but I just left them on there because too much grip will ruin the fun in this car.

This 1-litre, cute compact car had me sold the first time I saw it. There's not much to go for power but it more than makes up for that by just being paperweight. To add to the fun, some camber was added to the rear so that the rear doesn't fall behind, as well as make the car point towards the corner exit. Take this on a 450PP touge race and you'll surely turn heads because at the hands of a very skilled driver, this car's a sleeper.

Tuner Notes
The car's so good on its own that I didn't actually have to do much to it. It's unbelievably quick in and out of corners and flies on the straights. The downforce is just enough to help the car through bends and this ZZII can actually keep up with GT cars at 600PP. The brakes feel weird though, even with some front downforce it doesn't stop that quick. It could just be the tires, though.

The Supra and the Nordschleife, a combo I never expected to turn out well. The power is definitely put to good use as the car tops out on the long straights, but the handling is also impressive. A steady driver around the 'ring can make the most out of this car's overall stability. It's not a time attack machine, bu still a very enjoyable drive. A real Grand Tourer.

Tuner Notes
This EP3 was a handful, as I had a hard time tuning the LSD to lessen the understeer. Still, the resulting cornering ability is good for an FF, as the front responds very well on turn-in and stays glued to the racing line throughout the whole corner, that is, if you're careful on the throttle. This car's still sensitive to wheelspin but I'm happy it's significantly better than what I started with.

Tuner Notes
This is a car that I never expected to drive so well. It's so planted through the turns that you really have go in full throttle just to get the back out, but unlike the BMW 2002 Turbo, it can get pretty wild. It's still heavy though, which is also something I never expected from a car that sits so low to the ground.

Tuner Notes

The S13's always been my favorite out of the S-chassis cars, and it is actually a very good car for the touge. The stability of this car through the corners feels like it's on rails and the power delivery is so gentle that it won't unsettle the car. The S13 stretches out a good length though, so be mindful of where the rear tires are because it's easy to get an outside rear tire dipping onto the dirt and breaking traction.

Very nice layout of your tunes , I will add some more of your to tunes to my garage and if I get around using them I will give you feedback 👍.

This is simply a land-based stealth fighter, look at it and you'll see why, drive it and you'll see more of why. This car is every bit a monster as the in-game description makes it to be, and it made tuning it so much more satisfying. This car turns so well and simply understeers when you reach the limit, not to mention it accelerates like a rocket out of the corners and onto the straights. Braking is also stable in this car, although braking force isn't as strong as a race car's mostly due to the sports tires and the minimal front downforce.

Getting good lap times in this is almost a question of "just how brave can you get?".

Oh right! Take the engine tuning part off, it's not supposed to be there, my mistake. Thanks!

Tuner Notes

The S2000 scared me at first in this game, because it felt like a go-kart driving on a damp track with how rear traction breaks at the slightest bit of weight transfer. This tune's all about making the rear as stable as possible, which involved going to a bit of an understeer-biased setting, which actually worked out well because it gives you more room to attack without worrying about sliding off. Acceleration is impressive too, so it's a good choice for 500PP seasonals.

EG6_track.jpg

Tuner Notes
I actually got this car as a birthday car in GT6 and it looked like a good practice for FF tuning. Like all FF cars that have a lot of power, it's sensitive to wheelspin on cornering, but the EG6 is less sensitive to that, which made tuning it a bit easier. The suspension's tuned for cornering response so this car will be happy for days on technical courses like the Stowe Circuit at Silverstone.

Tuner Notes
This EK9 is tuned to get the rear end moving about so the cornering potential is very good. Even without turbocharging the engine, the car still makes considerable power and torque for 450PP, and mid-corner wheelspin was not really much of an issue as long as you're gentle on the throttle. It's a high-revving engine too, and the sound it makes at the top end of the rev range is so nice to hear.

Tuner Notes
The Skyline GT-Rs are known as high-powered 4WD machines, but they're also pretty heavy. Power was what pretty much drove this tune, because it already has such an impressive cornering ability despite its heavy weight. With the car packing enough power, the suspension was simply tuned to balance it out and make the car a bit more nimble. The torque-split is on a slight rear bias to make it maneuverable around corners.
