That is INSANELY good! 3 years?
I love it! I love pictures where you can just look at it forever and always find something new.

Awesome work. đź‘Ť

Thanks, yeah, three years for a few hours every other night, normally whilst getting a little drunk.

Weird thing is, I finished back in 08 (I think), it's now been long enough for me to forget a lot of what is on there, so I discover something new quite often! I say it's a doodle, for me it tells the story of a period of my life that was quite difficult (and mostly alcohol fuelled)... alot of it was also pre-planned, and sometimes drawn out once or twice prior to being redrawn on the master.

Well, it probably doesn't 'work' so well on screen, but I'm quite proud of it... it looks mostly like a doodle, people who see it tend to stare for a while, and then ask obvious questions, such as 'what is it?' or 'what's that bit?'..

Actual size is A2, It's black Ink pen (Rotring 0.18mm), then had it scanned as a full size TIFF.

Took 3 years on and off.

This bit is actual size of small part of it...

Holy crap, completely inspiring, much like the rest of the work on this thread. đź‘Ť

Yeah, I think though most of the other stuff here takes more skill than I've got... but what I lack in talent, I make up for in persistance!

I've been looking at that work by MatskiMonk for five minutes and I still can't find Waldo. :dopey:

LOL.. he's there, or is he?? I can't remember!

That is such an awesome idea. Hope you get a stupid good grade for it!

Wow, those two are plenty awesome!!! acrylic?

That F40 looks brilliant buddy So does everything in this thread to be fair.. Keep it up guys.

Cheers guys! :)

@cano Yeah acrylic is a favorite medium, I prefer it to oil paint

@MatskiMonk There isn't an emot on here that expresses how much in awe I am, that piece is just amazing!!!

Matski, that is ABSOLUTELY INSANE. I... I don't know. I'm mind-blown. I'd love to see it full-size and apreciate every little bit of stuff you drew there. Spectacular!

@Sher_da_putt: I also did a bit of acrylic... but gosh, I can't remember when was the last time. And I could never master it to the point of painting convincing reflections on metal (I mastered color pencils, but the difference is abysmal). Respect, man. That isn't easy in any way.

AOS, your guy needs a freaking big machine gun. Swords are overrated.

I might put something bigger up at some stage. not sure...

Still working on my Spellcaster/Magician guy...

Excellent Thread-> I tend to draw good whenever I get my hand and brain work together, but I haven't go to that mode for such a long time!!!

-> Most of my works are based on plain straight-forward ballpoint pen with no basic skeletal shapes from a pencil and mostly at freehand at best...I'm not as good a most guy's here in GTP, but I only do as I can to enjoy myself and others! :)

Umm, just new to the biz, and I'm probably following Raya's footsteps, since he himself "inspired" me to start sketching. Started with faces of 6 of my classmates, am I doing stuff right in this sketch?

Don't know if you are doing it right because I don't know who this Raya is, but I can safely say you can go further. đź‘Ť

Hmmm.... Meet RayadayaG. A few people like VTiRoj has seen some of his artworks too, since I "brought" him here.

Thanks about that though, but seems like what's left to tackle is the body. For a starter like me it's a bit of a pain in the ass...

A sketch isn't supposed to be 100% accurate. What a sketch is is a sufficient amount of data being transfered from your brain or eyes (depending on what you're doing) for others to be able to comprehend your thoughts, your perspective and possibly vision.

Thus, why messy sketches alone can convey a message even if what it depicts is not even close to what's been laid down.

Having said that, I was joking about what I said earlier.

Ah, good to know. :D

I'm doing a loose sketch right now. It's not to convey any ideas or anything because I'm just practicing on human structure analysis. The results will show if I do understand it well enough or not.

edjit: And here it is!

Spent too much time on this again. The pose was so weird that I screwed up twice. This one also has incorrect proportions but it's significantly less noticeable.
