IMO these two PC racing games have crazy car physics, and are worth checking out while GT4 is delayed.
Gran Prix Legends = 2004 demo
GTR FIA racing = just ordered the German version off of ebay for $65 dollars
online leagues and killer graphics and physics
Check out these two websites for sim racing and downloadable demos

enjoy guys, and can't wait for GT4 to be released. Tell me what you think of GPL 2004 demo

I downloaded GTR today, but was extremely hard since i have to use keyboard. So i went to my friends house, made him download it, and we played it for like 2 hours before we got sick of the demo. He has a wheel and it makes the game Sooooo much better. Wheel=Smooth driving=More realistic. The physics are way more realistic than GT3 and i like it much better than any other PC racing game. I havent played GT4 since im in the US so i dont know how the physics compare to each other. One thing that i found cool about the game is that you need to have precise throttle control. The throttle, brake, and clutch control is amazing, its not like you push it down half way and the game goes full throttle. The game is great and very realistic but pit times take waaay to long. Usually over a minute spent in the pit. This game is great but im not going to buy it, im spending my racing game money on GT4 of course!

No problem with the topic, but shouldn't this be discussed in the PC Gaming forums here? If I'm right, move this to the PC Gaming forums.

I downloaded GP Legends 2004 demo on the weekend and enjoyed it so much I bought a copy last night off Ebay for 10 bucks. It works great with dfp wheel.

Whoa, the only racing i've done on PC is Midtown Madness 2 and Moto Racer! Most of my racing is done on xbox, half of my games are all racing titles.

Can't get into racing games on a pc - doesn't help when you have a keyboard :dunce: but i prefer paying on a games system - PS2 :)

But i did play this very good F1 game a while back my mate lent to me i think it was called Geoff crammond Grand Prix 3 and it blew my mind away ( we are starved of any decent F1 games on the PS2) but anyway that belongs somewhere else... But i might check them out when waiting for GT4 , Thanks.

👍

I race Richard Burns Rally, GPL ( but I didin't download the 80 MB mod yet ) , F1C 99-2002 and my 2 favourites mods for it: JGTC and the great Prototype-C mod. These 2 mods make me feel like playing GranTurismo3 ... on my PC.
My wife still enjoys playing Colin Mc. Rae ...2 ( the best of the series imho ).
I only update my computer when a new racing game requires it.
Thanks for the racesimulations link, I know about bhmotorsports and racesimcentral but I didn,t know about that one

Richard Burns rally is my favorite right now. I also enjoy the racing in LFS since is go a decent size community and relativly clean races. S2 is about to come out. I''m still waiting for the english version of GTR. I recently downloaded the demo of TOca Race driver 2, and that game seems pretty cool. Nice graphics and the physics aren that bad. I jus bough a Driving force Pro, but i'm not using it untill christmas

I play on PC too... i liked Richard Burns, the problem is: no wheel... with keyboard is very very hard to play that game!
Right now i'm on Colin McRae 2005...i liked it also, but you can't compare Colin with RB...is Arcade x Simulation...

Imho, 3 racing sims absolutely require a wheel: Grand Prix Legend , the Protoyype-C mod for F1 C 1999-2002 and ... Richard Burns Rally.
I tried to play both of them with my Logitech Driving force wheel and with my Playstation2 controller ( via an USB adapter ). but couldn't stay on the road more than 10 seconds while using the Playstation2 controller.
Don't even thonk about using the keyboard, you're wasting your time.
Maybe that's what separate a racing sim from a racing "game": one does require a wheel, the other doesn't.

I never really got into PC Racing Sims, as nothing was close to GT3 in depth and overall fun to play quality. I've played a little of GTR and some other demos, but it never really caught my interest.

I just started trying games on the PC including racing games. I tried the GTR demo and I also have the full version of Flatout. So far they seem fun. I bought a controller for the PC and it was only $12 but it is in the shape of the PS2 controller and works great. Made it soooo much more fun. 👍

hey, i was wondering if someone could test a Subaru 2000 light setup i made for RBR. its made specifically for the france stages.
