nope, much like my real car (in which my horn button only wants to work when it wants to) I just flash my high beams.

on the flip side.i tend to use the chrome horn on the AI.

Off topic but on my DFGT I have a button to change the lights from high beam to low beam or vice versa but when the lights arent on I cant flash them :|

same on my controller (I own a DFGT but due to back problems lately I haven't been up to setting it up) much more useful the a horn button (or wipers on GT5 which I kept turning on by clicking the R3 button

The high beam/low beam button will flash them, also there is a flash button you can assign. My problem is not being able to control when they come on.

Why yes I have used the horn.........

So my VERY first game ever online in GT6. I have manual transmission setup, no assists, I don't have a mic, and I ALWAYS race clean. I decide to have a little fun and start honking the horn. *Beep* beep ahh good ole laughs while waiting for the timer to count down. In the starting grid I am located in 3rd position because that is where I was placed during the practice laps.

Countdown 3-2-1 I floor it...................IN REVERSE!!!! Instantly smash into the person behind me creating a chain reaction.:nervous::nervous::scared:. I am utterly terrified and so embarrassed and I feel so bad!!!!! :nervous: I guess while I was honking the horn, it placed the transmission into reverse! I don't have a headset and there is no way I am pausing to type that I am sorry. So the race goes on and I politely let everyone around that I smashed into. When the race is over I am expecting hate replies, and to be kicked from the lobby. I instantly type I am so sorry I accidentally put it in reverse while honking horn! Everyone accepts the apology and I ended up adding several friends. My very first online GT6 experience. I don't honk the horn at the start anymore. :p

I dont see a point to use it... in gta v yes, but gt6 no, cuz it wont change anything...
While in gta v the ai wants to kick your a..

I use the chrome horn. Just kidding, I just had to take the opportunity to be a smartass. Seriously though, I have no use for the horn so no, I don't use it.

love coming up on someone bumper; following him; pressuring him with high/low beams and the horn... 90% of times they end up making a mistake and loose the car.. 10% i screw up on the buttons and lock up brakes on the bend... i all cases both drivers have a laugh as they know its just a game and its part of the fun.

I knew it was a JC thing when I wrote it but I simply couldn't come up with a better expression since my English isn't very good. ;) And besides it's quite pathetic to say TORQUE!!!! or SPEEEEEED!!! or "German Muscle", isn´t it? :D When I drive a Honda, I could say "VTEC just kicked in yo!" but I would't say that in a AMG. :D
But yeah I do like Top Gear, the UK version. The Australian version sucks and I really don't know or care if there is an American version.

I use it sometimes, especially when one of the AI racers cuts me off. LOL
When i drive the KTM or other cars with no horn this is when i realise how much i use the horn, I find it annoying not having a horn especially on the starting grid when everyone is pressing their horn and i cant join in the fun lol.

I do this exact thing so many times, Its worse in offline mode because of the annoying countdown and camera angles so i dont notice it untill its too late, Just put me in my damn car PD

I'm pretty sure they cant see you flashing your beams, At least my friend said he couldnt see me flashing them and i couldnt see him doing it either

I use it as well, but not very often. Flashing lights is my preferred way of getting people's attention. :p

Not really. Never quite figured out why they added them. Seems a bit incongruous with the overarching emphasis on racing. Flashing light, yes, although not vs real players (Dunno if you know, but the AI seems to be programmed to respond to them and will move over if flashed several times while on their six... at least in certain situations)

Hmm...now that begs the question. Do the AI also respond to horns?

I use it all the time. Especially in online races where I'm pushing the player in front of me. Anything to make them lose focus.

Simply put, I will not drive a car that doesn't have a horn.

The fact the some of the rally cars now have functioning horns (Delta S4 :D Hyundai Accent :D) is even better.

The amount of people who yell at me online for blaring the horn constantly is silly.

If this is during a race I can understand where they are coming from, it is annoying. However in a free run it shouldnt really be that big of a deal :P

I use the horn - like a range finder... beep the horn and you can judge the distance and direction to the car ahead by the return echo (You need good speakers or headphones of course - and a bit of practice.) - very useful for driving in heavy rain or foggy conditions.

Ryk

If you're being serious, (I hope so) I'll have to give it a try. Interesting observation.
