I was doing log ins to keep myself at 200%, but that was even boring so I am currently avoiding GT6 until we get something new that will be worth the effort.....I've spent more time on GT Planet the last month then playing the game...... I played GT 5 more than I have this game......

Same here, I probably played GT5 more in the first few weeks of its release than I have GT6 since its release.

After weeks of waiting for something new on GT5 or 6, out of boredom, I went into GT5 Arcade mode and found out in 3 laps I could knock down ALL of the cones on the Top Gear Test Track and still win the race!
Try it. It will brighten your day while waiting for PD to add something. Cones were flying all over the place! Guaranteed to make you smile.
So, the GT6 "Coffee Breaks" were good training for something.

I'll pose this question, is it Gt6 that is "boring" or the fact that it isn't set up differently from Gt5? I didn't find GT5 and more exciting than GT6. GT5 Single player is just a credit grinder.

I'm hoping for the online event creator to be more than just a fancy way to start a lobby.

No it isn't more exciting... It's more challenging... I'm now trying to gold the GT5 vettel challenges for Platinum...
(just grinding 6000km will deliver me gt6 Platinum... I refuse to go there)
In GT6 were two challenges S4 & S5 license tests.... Anything else was just a walk in the park...

I am bored out of the game, but I don't find hard challenges interesting - the game could be interesting it just needs an event creator, shuffle racing, track creator, better AI, livery options and better sounds.

I have recently had to introduce cost cutting measures to my classic championship because, like me, many players are too bored with the game to want to bother grinding away to get the credits to buy the cars. Such a shame that a simple event creator wasn't included so that we could race on the tracks and against the cars we want to - I can't believe it would be that hard to implement - I'm not hoping for a perfect event creator - almost anything would be an improvement over nothing.

I used to use B spec to do the grinding for me and earn credits to buy the cars I needed, but now that has gone and inexplicably shuffle racing has also disappeared.

Despite all the negative comments it is still possible to get a great online experience racing against friends online - that is the games saving grace.

You do realise this will likely not include machine guns and armour upgrades, don't you?
Haha of course I know.
I'm co-leading Small Special Racing for the new season, but we aren't starting until the Community/Crew features are released. :( And that wasn't my choice.
Kinda wanna throw a Cappucino RM around the new various small courses but I just can't be bothered to put the GT6 disc in.

Its amazing that PD basically rewrapped gt5 and stuck a gt6 label on it and added a bit more content and thought that would be suffiecient enough, It was always going to be a boring game with that formula when you've been playing GT5 for 3 years, Extremely lame from PD

No - I think it's more boring than GT5 - that had 16 racers in arcade instead of 10, a track creator - I had a big collection of tracks made by friends and it had shuffle racing.

Like ZDUPH we were waiting for the community features before launching our first GT6 championship, but we got bored of waiting and have launched anyway.

We have a vacancy for this Sundays meeting which is at 17:00 GMT - if anyone wants that slot just send me a message. All ability levels are welcome - full details on the thread in the signature.

At least GT5 use to post a new seasonal event every week and most of them were races. The last seasonal event on GT6 was on 2-27-14 and the time trial (as usual) expired a long time ago.

Edit: I just saw on GTPlanet there are new events! Tomorrow....

I have lost interest in the game completely....I will confess to loading the game to get the M4 in black .....too bad that we didn't get a paint chip.......I would start playing again if we were given a "real" seasonal race that was not a boring time trial that involves buying cars that are not on my "owning" list....... As my avatar illustrates Skyrim is my current choice of obsession as it is at least complete and completely enjoyable.

I do enjoy coming here and reading about GT6 and seeing that not much has really changed in the last month........

I've lost interest since the Zahara claim went unfulfilled or answered, I'll be picking up F1:2013-Classic here shortly and will look forward to investing in the ol' days of F1, since PD appears to have no interest in discussing their "Senna-content" anytime soon.

As stated above, it is kinda funny to check-in here at GTP, and see more 'defenders' become 'questioners', PD is living on borrowed time.

Well, I'm on the verge of being done with this game after just two and a half weeks, put it on my shelf and slowly forget about its existence.

My completion percentage has been stuck on 27% for two weeks now, and I honestly can't be bothered to put more time into the career mode or the game itself. It's boring, tedious and there's little to none incentive to continue playing. The 1.05 update did very little and the multiplayer experience is still severely lacking, not to mention the constant disconnects and performance issues (fps stuttering, lag and freezing among other things; issue that are currently exclusive only to Gran Turismo 6 in my gaming library).

Whatever PD might have up their sleeves the coming weeks, or months, my interest is waning quickly.

the game is boring as bat $#!% , with very little events (99% complete) and they are made for first time players, not people that have followed the series for 15 years, the online is a joke I just wasted 2 hours for 2 online races of 3 laps around suzuka , while freezing 5 times got kicked from lobbies 3 times and then sat in my own room for an hour with not 1 person joining , sorry PD but this is not my idea of fun and your lack of communication is appalling.

You got it!
I go back to GT5. Course Maker is still there and there are still over 30 Seasonal Events which are races with other cars and not just a Time Trial. AND - each event has 3 to 5 races in each one. That's a lot of races! In most of them I can run racing tires.
I hope they leave the existing Seasonal Events on it when they pull the plug. I guess it would be to much to ask for them to put ALL of the Seasonal Events back on GT5. PD has already created the events.

seems like a lot of people are playing gt5 as opposed to the new version cant blame them tho as there seems to be more races in gt5 seasonals than the whole of gt6 career mode

For all those who find the game boring, i would love to know: are you playing the game the way it was intended, that is, with a good wheel set up?

i tryed this game with a controller after playing with a wheel since GT5 and i can tell you it is a completely different beast. Firstly, its alot harder with a controller and secondly, i fell asleep.

The days of sitting on your couch with a controller are over, invest in a wheel and the "real" experience of GT6 will open its doors

Using a wheel can never get boring to me because you play this game to drive, if you get bored of the driving then its time to trade in your copy of GT6 for a first person shooter and be done with it.

I play with both wheel and controller both are extremely easy and booooring.
Like I mentioned in my previous post I enter a (for example) 600pp race at 550pp in a car I've set up for a fun ride and I've passed the entire field before the end of lap 1. No wheel or controller is going to change the boring robotic AI.
I want a race not a track day.

I'm buying a new car or almost every race hoping it will make things a bit more fun... nope.

Plus what about proper car set up options? even little things like wheel offset would add so much to this game for me.
Also on the side of usability this game has never been fun to 'use'.

e.g. fine tuning is way to difficult, if I hold down the button (stick) for more than 1 second, it assumes I want to go faster and I've over shot my setting and, 'tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap' gets real annoying real quick.

It looks great, mostly plays great and photo mode is enjoyable but its just teeeeedious

But right now when I think "I want to play a race in GT6"
I then remember how monotonous it is, and I don't even turn on my console.

...so in short, Yes, I feel I am playing the game 'as intended' (:

i hav'nt turned on the PS since about end of January, let alone fired up GT. even my driving seat setup is collecting dust from lack of use :(
the really sad thing is that its been so long i dont think even releasing ALL of the stuff we're missing would spark my interest back up again. :banghead:@Sony/PD
Elder Scrolls Online has my interest now and prolly will for many months to come, at least until Fallout4 comes along, heheh

could not agree more - from a wheel-only user standpoint. after all real cars dont have joysticks and buttons 👍

Thanks LaughingJack
It is funny to hear from the purest that that say we should never use ABS, skid control or traction control, and some even say we shouldn't use a wheel. "That's not REAL racing!"
When on a real track, in a real car, you can hear the tires and engine and feel the car through the wheel and your body. If the car starts to slide, you'll feel it in your butt before you feel it in the steering wheel. In a game we don't have that kind of feedback. Yes, there are amazing sounds and feedback through the wheel but it is not as much as real life.
I guess they've been playing games for the last decade. These days almost every new car has ABS, stability and traction control AND a searing wheel and pedals. I noticed the Seasonal Events in GT6 let us use skid control where GT5 would never allow it. I think PD is realizing new cars have all of this stuff, including steering wheels. :dopey:

Yes I'm bored of it already. I'll probably not play until they bring out B-Spec or someone comes up with a garage editor so I can max my credits and play with the cars more.
