I never played TDU1 and I searched on the TDU2 Forums a week or two ago and everyone says the exploration pack still isn't out yet on the consoles, they said it was almost out the door months ago and I think Eden games went on strike or something too so :/

Biggest problem of this game (except physics model, since everybody knows it's arcad-ish) is the servers. Many problems, disconnections, being down for days... Total failure till now.

I hopped on for a litte bit today, saw some guys so it's not completely abandoned

I haven't touched it in a while I'm thinking about playing it again :P anyone play it in a while?

I'm in the same situation as you. I bought it on release day but for various reasons (mainly GT5 and Forza...) I haven't played this title in a while. I may boot it up tonight and play for a while.

I would be playing it every single day if they would get the engine sounds right and fix that annoying gear change clunk.

The Ferrari Scuderia seems to be good though :) I think Eden games is on strike and I also heard they are probably refusing to release the patch :P but who knows what they're cooking up

Got the game a few months ago but only just started with it, won't be on until sunday tho as real-life has too much work for me until then :grumpy:

I bought it on sale (really only for that reason) and have not even taken the packaging off yet :)

I will try it out eventually, but for now playting GT5 and F1 2010, and now F1 2011

On sale is cheaper than renting eh!

I got mine for 32 dollars used I think

Bought my copy (360) when the price first dropped to £18. I have been playing ever since! I am on my third play through (I still have access to the first two saves I did and as they are on the same account so I can get to any car that is on only one save by swapping to another character). I am up to the round Hawaii Time Trial on my third save, having completed everything on my first two saves.

There is the occasional issue with the Casino Servers. but in most cases it only seems to last for a few minutes.

I inadvertantly set the Steering Sensitivity to the far left (most sensitive) and on my third play had the sensitivity at the middle and just could not get on with it and adjusted it to my preferred setting.

The handling has its problems but mostly I like it. You get the occasional unexplained spin, but mostly driving sensibly and the handling (for me anyway) is fine. Some of the cars have issues with handling (serious lift-off oversterr - Golf and 2CV), but I can get around that by not lifting off when I brake.

I am on a fair amount of the time when I am not asleep! Haven't been cruising much on my latest save since checking off all the roads but I will not doubt be out and about more when I complete the final challenge.

I've been playing it on PS3 for the last 3-4 days. I quite enjoyed TDU1, and TDU2 has grabbed me for its 'Open Road' driving.
I normally see about 20-30 different people on my map at one time, so it's definitely not dead.

The only thing that really p's me off is the people that drive slower than your grandma on a good day, normally around 30-40mph.
They always drive in the centre of the road when there's no other traffic, and even then they still can't drive in a straight line.
You have to time it just right to overtake them or they end up bargeing you into the next lampost.

I don't know how it is on your occasion, but my TDU2 on PC doesn't get online for a whole week till today and it says that servers are available.

I still play TDU2 (on PS3) but don't play it as much as I use to, particularly due to the server issues. It's a bit difficult to get into this game when you have a good group of people on your server then all of the sudden the server goes down and you can't re-group. There are a lot of things that need to be fixed in this game and it's ashame that Atari/Eden haven't done a damn thing about it.

I have only ever had an extended server outage once. My normal tactic on getting the servers are down message is to try again, and in most cases I get on at the second attempt. This mostly with the Slots.

I was playing all the time until the Psn outage, since then and the non appearance of the promised patch and dlc, I haven't played it since.

Played it a couple of times last few days. However i hate it with my dfgt. Used my ds3 instead. However it annoys me that you cannot change the buttons. Though
I like The concept of tdu, they could
Make it better than it now is.

Same here, it was ok with my g25, but walking around was a pain, and it just seemed better with a controller.

Yes, a wheel just doesn't work with this game. The driving is horrible, you turn half way and just go straight like you did before

i gave up on this game...i did all the career races with the buying cars n all but i fed up of waiting for the patches to come out, the physics, the annoying voice overs and how it flet as if the spent more time on customising your avatar (plastic surgery?!?! WTF!!!!) i traded it for SU2 and i think it was a good choice!!

saying this was MASSIVE disappointment would be an understatement!

I LOVED the first one, but GT5 and some others have made me forgot I have the second one. Shame, too, because I love the concept.

I played it for about 3 minutes today then i got bored..
I've just finished A1 and have just over one million, was saving up for a Bugatti but since my Internet connection has been fixed I've totally abandoned the game, it's too short, not enough events and every one online seems rather annoying to me.

Worth it for $20 on Steam?

Hmm, I'm playing it right now, watch some vids on YouTube about it and maybe some reviews but there's one review by IGN I think gave it a 5.5/10 or something like that I'm on my iPod I'll try to post a link to one I watched

Here you go http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=/&gl=US#/watch?v=xG2yzCaPSP4
I'm on iPod so if someone wouldn't mind turning this into a YouTube link
And for $20 pretty cheap try asking others around here you can go on the TDU 2 forums at Testdriveunlimited2.com and ask there although there has been no feedback from the company Atari/Eden for quite some time now and a promised patch + some add on stuff and DLC for free was announced quite a while ago and never realeased

Good news, I just went on the forums and saw that Atari mods confirmed they are back and will be releasing the DLC and others I think too :D
