Bringing this thread back... Does anyone still play TDU2 on PC? Got mine off of Steam a year or two ago and recently picked it back up after a...year or so absence. Never bothered joining the clubs, but wouldn't mind joining one with GTplanet members. :)

Hello guys I'm trying to play testdrive online, but its not letting me?? Are there anyone else having server issues??

I keep coming back to this game, It's just so much fun racing with your club, owning everyone!
I'm thinking of a full comeback, but there are not as many people around these days:(
I'm hoping there will be a TDU3.

As much as I enjoy TDU2 (now that it has been patched) I would never buy another TDU game at launch. I had a gamesave corruption with TDU1 after 20 hours of gameplay. Then had ANOTHER gamesave after 60 hours of gameplay with TDU2. TDU2 was a disaster at launch and wasn't properly patched for many months. That was actually THE worst thing that has ever happened to me in my entire gaming history. Losing 60 hours of gameplay just was devastating.

I have more than enough to keep me busy in TDU2 for many years. I still haven't unlocked all the roads or found all the wrecks yet. So I am in no way ready or interested in TDU3 at all. Especially with Horizon 2 and The Crew coming out this year.

I was literally just playing TDU2 for the first time in a looooooong time today. I think the concept is fantastic, but the execution is slightly messy (weird physics, weak AI, etc.) Once you accept these problems, and adapt to the slightly odd physics, you realise the free-roam is epic, and the freedom of just driving around is fantastic. It's still a lot of fun! :D

I do love all the features in TDU2 that's for sure. Such an immersive game. 2 full islands, buy houses, customize houses, epic lobby system where you get out of your car and walk around other cars, Casino and just so much more. I do love this game. Wish I had more time to play it more often to find all the cars and unlock all the roads. Plus I am only about 50% through the campaign.

Agreed! One feature I absolutely loved was the car configuration when you bought a new car (alloys, interior trim, etc.) Little things like this, and being in control of your character through processes such as buying a car (rather than selecting things from a menu) really improve the immersion.

Also the ability to ride with other real life players in their car. There really is an insane amount of stuff you can do in this game. Beyond overwhelming. Especially with 2 full islands to explore with no boundaries. Day night cycle plus dynamic weather, map maker, full traffic, police chases, and so much more.

I do miss the ability to adjust our seat location like in TDU1. I also miss the auction house from TDU1. A few other features I miss too but overall I love TDU2.

the concept of TDU is just epic, the free roam on such big islands, and all the tnigs you can do:dopey:
Better physics certainly the biggest issue imo.

@CAMAROBOY69 : I know it was bad programmed at launch, I had alot of issues, stoped playing for almost a year, then came back to a fully working, patched game. with MC's:drool:
Unfortunately I dont have anything left there to do, as I have 100% completion. when I come on toTDU2 is is with my old club buddies, to do some club races. our club was ranked first for a looooong time after the reset, now I think we are like 26'th or something.

The problem I have is that I am addicted to the casino. So most of my TDU2 experience is with friends in there. Or I just end up cruising with friends. I need to break free and go actually play the game again. Its just very rare I ever am online by myself. Almost always have friends to play with when I get online. Which is a good thing. :)

Yeah, the casino takes a long time to complete, especially the tournaments, I won 1'st and 4'th pretty fast, but 2'nd and 3'rd took a long time because there was no one there and you need 10 people for it to start:indiff:

edit. if you get the time, look at the leaderboard of most credits in the casino, all the top guys have 2,147,483,647 credits, the number feel familiar?:P

TDU1 and 2 are among my most favorite driving games ever. They created a certain vibe that other games can't quite match. The dealerships in TDU1 were great, but in TDU2 they were simply epic. Didn't like the over-the-top career mode in TDU2 though, I liked TDU1 better: no frills, just drive.

Hey everybody,
I've had this game since launch and this is my 2nd time playing through. This time, I'm trying to get all of the achievements. I own most of the houses and I'm tryin g to get that subprime crisis achievement. Problem is, I have both yachts, and somehow they are 4 stars. The original shacks and caravans are also 1 star instead of 0. I'm pretty sure I would have it if those were what they were supposed to be.
Any ideas? Thanks

hi guys
I'm new here and I'm playing TDU2 for a long time...
I'm looking for people to cruise with.
My PSN is Eyalf83, send me friend request with TDU2 word and i'll confirm.
Cheers.

360 version
I attempted to make some more progress in the campaign over the weekend and quickly remembered why I don't do the campaign. I think I was trying to complete the A4 races. The racing can be so brutal at times. The solo races I always seem to start out so great about 4-5 seconds ahead. Then by the end of the race I am 6-7 seconds behind. Ends up being more frustrating that fun. I clearly need a different vehicle for that race. So when it comes to TDU2, I have been sticking with cruising, unlocking roads, and the Casino. So I spent about an hour Saturday just cruising around unlocking more roads. I think I found about 63% of the roads on Oahu. :)

Decided to go on a real-money spending spree two days ago so that I now have all the DLC. I guess I can be expected online (PS3) a bit more often in an attempt to save money (read: gamble all my money in the roulette) for the 250 GTO :D

I'd also like to re-introduce the idea of a GTP club if there's interest in it. I'd gladly set it up if so, maybe arranging a few events too?

Ok I got past that, are there any specific cars you guys use on Oahu Tour? In trying with the 599xx, but I can use others because I have all of them. I'll take any feedback.

Also, there's a way to surpass buying the DLC stuff with points, so you just have to use the in - game currency. Anyone can message me about if it stands out to them. The trick is really simple.

Last time I was on TDU2, I was against an Audi RS saloon (can't remember which) in my Caterham.

The Audi rammed me, cut corners and all that.

The racer before that was in an Audi Q car and I was on a motorbike. He just rammed me a lot and cut corners.

The race before that was my bike vs 3 Veyrons in a club race...

I'll stick to cruising.

Oh yeah racing real people is out of the questions. Dang near impossible to find a clean match.

Sadly true. I think the only time I did wasnt even an official race. Just two of us traffic splitting on Ducatis.

Was fun though.

Best way to do the club races or other races is to try and get at least a couple friends with you. That way if someone is being a jerk you can try to communicated to avoid that player. They should have added in a no collision feature mode that way it was all based on skill level.

The other tough part is the fact it is so hard to find a working lobby anymore.

I don't have friends who play racing games other than GT or FM

Anyone done the last race or have suggestions for it? I'd really appreciate it. Up a couple posts to my older one
If you mean the tours around the islands, I think one of them is limited to A6 category, which would make the Subaru Impreza WRX STi by far the best car. the other one is A1 category I think, and as far as I'm concerned, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is still the best car, but it's somewhat hard to drive, so the Pagani Zonda Cinque or Tricolore might be a good alternative. it's alot easier to drive, and on some mid-speed tracks it's actually faster than the bugatti aswell.
