If you mean the tours around the islands, I think one of them is limited to A6 category, which would make the Subaru Impreza WRX STi by far the best car. the other one is A1 category I think, and as far as I'm concerned, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is still the best car, but it's somewhat hard to drive, so the Pagani Zonda Cinque or Tricolore might be a good alternative. it's alot easier to drive, and on some mid-speed tracks it's actually faster than the bugatti aswell.
Yea I'm on the absolute last timed race called Oahu tour. It's about an hour long and covers the highway along the coast. You are terribly wrong about the Super Sport, the handling just plan sucks at high speeds. I've been thinking about the 599xx. Btw I have every car in the game so I can try all of them

Buddy, I'm not wrong about the Bugatti, I was one of the best in the world at the time, I know what I'm talking about. Trust me. it handles horribly, but once you learn how to drive it, it is faster. The 599xx is great at tight twisty tracks, but the top speed is not suited for the tour of oahu.

Take the Pagani, its the fastest car all around if you struggle with the Bugatti.

Yea I know it's one of the best cars, besides the Venom GT. I can drive it, it also needs some breaks for the turns. I bet the Ferrari can do it even though it tops at 204. I'll try a Pagani when I get on

No its not hahah I was just giving you an example. I thought you meant real life stuff when you mentioned the Bugatti that's all
Well irl neither the Veyron or Venom is a fast car. IRL a FXX or 599xx would smoke them both on a track! as would a Koenigsegg and Gumpert Apollo.:sly:

Booted it up again and invited a friend from my alt (C_E21) account onto a cruise.

It was nice, driving along listening to While (1<2) through the speakers with a Zonda, tailed by a McLaren shame some idiots in veyrons ruined it by hitting us into walls repeatedly. The solution?

We got out Delta Intergrales and went off road.

Test Drive Unlimited is the soul reason I ever joined a forum on the internet, and therefore the only reason I ever joined other forums in future including this one. If it weren't for that game, I probably wouldn't have spent half my time on the internet I did because of the game. I've always loved this game. Spent many hours on it. Started out with the PS2 version (which was amazing for a PS2 game) then moved on to Xbox 360 and more recently PC. Here, I even made a video, kinda inspired by The Crew E3 2014 trailer:

Then TDU2 came. Okay, so I loved the trailer so much. Then time went by and I got to try the Beta in 2010. This is when everyone realised how bad the driving physics were, and I couldn't help but agree. It sucked because the game has so many nice features, but even today I can't get along with the driving physics. Never-the-less, I completed it (pretty much) on PS3 and I just picked up the PC version in the Steam sale, since it was pretty cheap.

Not a patch on the original, but still a reasonably ok game.

Oh, and the original. With some mods ofc....

Since my Xbox one 'turned itself on' and bricked itself in the middle of the night while I was sleeping (as stupid as that sounds), I have been playing the 360 more. Not like I have much of a choice since I sent my One out for repair.

So, I thought I would throw in TDU2 for old time's sake, and it's certainly helping pass the time. I had a good time buying cars and driving around both islands, and I also played a few Poker matches in the Casino, longest wait I had for a match to begin was about 6 minutes. I was surprised at the number of people still playing this game. Maybe I shouldn't be as there still is really no other game quite like TDU2.

The last time I tried to play Test Drive Unlimited 2, I could not connect to any servers. Let me tell you- for as many people as I come across on PlayStation Network playing TDU2, this game is absolutely boring when not connected with others. The single-player is severely weak and doesn't have as much character when you aren't connected online. I still like TDU2, but I felt a number of different tweaks could have made this game an all-time classic.

I can have fun either way, but it's definitely a social game at the core and more fun with friends.

Too bad Atari sacked the Developers then liquidated the studio and it's assets prematurely. They had more content and fixes planned after the Bike DLC, which never saw the light of day. I really hope David Nadal's new game that he is working on with the resurrected Eden Studios is going to be in the same vane as the TDU series.

This was one of the many cars they planned on releasing that never happened:

Would have been awesome too.

Sorry about the X1. That's great to hear TDU2 still has a lot of people playing. I was wondering about the Casino but also great to hear the wait times are low. As you said, on the other hand its not that surprising people are still playing since it truly is a one of a kind experience. Especially now that the majority of the problems have been worked out.

Only game comparable on the X1 is The Crew. But its just not the same without the Casino, customizable avatars, and the ability to buy houses. :sly:

I'm currently trying to get the poker tickets, and the level 2 ticket is pretty much impossible to get through the drink competition, so I want to get a level 3 tournament started, but its so difficult because people dont want to do that.

If anyone of you would be willing to help me get one started it'd be much appriciated!:)

I have returned to this game although it keeps giving me server cannot be reached, So I am playing offline to go through what I had once previously did, with the challenges and treasure hunt and roads.

Some say that the servers are now officially offline, wondering if anyone else that has played recently can get on.

They where offline, but should be back up since thursday.

Wasn't over that weekend, now I am back online on the server but now the time is frozen at either 0000 or 1800 now.
While I don't mind it at lease then it won't rain or anything and can return to where I was before I decided to start over.
Roads are a pain and I see why I didn't want to really start over. Oops.

Ok I got past that, are there any specific cars you guys use on Oahu Tour? In trying with the 599xx, but I can use others because I have all of them. I'll take any feedback.

Also, there's a way to surpass buying the DLC stuff with points, so you just have to use the in - game currency. Anyone can message me about if it stands out to them. The trick is really simple.
The car I used for the Oahu Tour is the Koenigsegg CCXR. Also how do you bypass buying DLC with points? Are you using X360 or PS3?

I don't think you can bypass them. You have to buy the car then you can use ingame credits once you buy the dlc car. However if the servers are down you cannot buy the car which kinda sucks.
