Are you satisfied with the choice of the intro song, in GT5?

I can't believe what horrible intro i just saw. Seriously the people that we have in the forums that make the music video would do a HUGE better job at the intro then what GT creators just did. Also bad pure choice of music, i would like to have the option in the future game to swap it out or change the scenes in the game.

They can do good trailers and tributes but damn, GT creators what happen to your magic marketing seems you fell in to a pit.

I would rather listen to banana phone, than listen to the new intro of GT5... for ****s sakes at least before you finalize an intro let some insiders review it. ( God I sometimes question the Japanese culture when it comes to certain things )

 
eh, its not too bad.. not my favorite, but better than what others have suggested here.

I liked GT5Ps intro better
 
I personally look at it from this point of view...

The game was made with a certain soundtrack which was then removed and a different one added just because they assumed it would not be popular and it is this that bugs me more than anything.

I don't care how good the changed music is, I want the ORIGINAL soundtrack.

Just like if I watched a movie, I would not want the original music removed and something else added.

It doesn't matter how many times you watch it...
The game should be left intact.

At first I was kind of feeling as if I was in a horror film and something bad was about to happen, then I started feeling like it was one of those educational videos you watch as a kid. Then the cars came on and wow....I love it...all of it!
 
It doesn't matter what the song was, it would have sucked, simply because you can't ever top "Panama". When it kicked in during the GT4 intro, I actually jumped up off the couch and shouted "HELL YEAH!" at the top of my lungs. Thankfully, I was the only one in the house at the time.

Purely marketing. Quite possibly 0% of PD's personel liked the choise but their marketing division or something decided it would go well in the west for their target demographic.

Is there electric guitar and in general energized (not only rock, you know some upbeat motivating stuff) in the menu music and/or the tracklist? Or have they moved with the times? :indiff:

The GT Auto music is "The Entertainer", which is probably the single most awesome thing about the entire game.
 
weird because Polyphony should know that most of the Gran Turismo Series fans are 20+ years old.

really don't think any guy of my age (29) bothers to knowledge MCR existence.

The Piano part is BRILLIANT

MCR part = Epic Fail

GT2 Intro to me still on the top!
 
Honestly its growing on me. I'm pleased that they recut the footage to sync with the MCR song, too. It's certainly not worse that GT3's Lenny Kravitz or whatever that crap on GT5 Prologue and GT PSP were.

My biggest gripe with the intro is that the iron ore to finished car segment, while awesome, is a bit too long. The music is fine, and fitting choice...it's just too long before the action. It's literally half of the intro movie.

Moon Over the Castle would've been better, but it is what it is...hopefully MOtC will be the credits song like in GT4/Prologue!

The incredible menu music in Prologue makes the stuff in GT5 sound like it was written by high school kids looking for a jazz gig. Someone in SONY marketing needs to get canned... uhm, reassigned somewhere else. :P

Either that, or they need to patch the Prologue music in. Which they do. PLEASE, Sensei, make it happen. Especially Prologue's ending cinema.

The menu music from Prologue is already in the game. Go to the Music Icon from the GT Life screen, and you can view all of the tracks in the game and select which ones you would like to be able to play in what scenarios (Race+ Replay, Menus, or Slideshows). I spent a few hours customizing my list the other day, and distinctly heard the GT5 Prologue menu music in there...to help you find them, they will be not selected to play at all by default.
