Are you satisfied with the choice of the intro song, in GT5?

Do I care about a song I'm going to listen to once in order to watch the intro movie, then skip past for the next 3 years?

Was sceptical at first, not really seeing how they could go together, but ive just after listening to 'na na na' off the album they're releasing and its quite catchy and something I can definatly imagine in gt5. plus the vid has a nice little car chase in it. If the rest of the album is like that then i'll be happy. I expect there will be more than just the one MCR song, like feeder in previous game(s)

It's simple. It's the same singer with the same voice, end of story it will suck. NO BANDS CAN CHANGE THEIR SOUND THAT DRASTICALLY. And certainly not a band like MCR

exactly. that's why I'm not happy. I didn't expect any good music, IMO Panama by Van Halen is the only good song in a GT game so far until 5OUL on D!SPLAY, why wouldn't they stick with that?
 
this stuff is is terrible and so uninspired it boggles my mind...either Soul on Display or Moon over the castle (or just a plain classical tune til the end) would've been a much more fitting choice.

This bland pop hipster-wannabe garbage doesn't even seem to belong to the video, it actually sounds like someone audioswapped some random emo bull$hit track onto the youtube clip to be honest.

but who cares, i dont think ive looked at my GT4 intro since i got the game haha

ALSO, lets stop complaining or Kaz will SHUT IT DOWN, recall the disks and change the song :indiff::guilty::yuck:
 
I can't believe what horrible intro i just saw. Seriously the people that we have in the forums that make the music video would do a HUGE better job at the intro then what GT creators just did. Also bad pure choice of music, i would like to have the option in the future game to swap it out or change the scenes in the game.

They can do good trailers and tributes but damn, GT creators what happen to your magic marketing seems you fell in to a pit.

KAZ return the disk around and FIX IT!!!! i know you read these forums!

i hope japanese version will have Moon over the Castle as usual, so I can watch much better version !!! ( I bought Japanese GT3, GT4 before... )
 
Hopefully Polyphony Digital could add an update to have the option to change to the Japanese Intro version!! maybe with Moon over Castle!
 
I actually liked the first half of the intro showing how a car is made, but the piano theme was pretty chaotic and unmemorable. I don't think the MCR song worked at all either. It's confusing since a lot of the trailers for gt5 had really good music and were enjoyable to watch. The night racing trailer for instance had some nice drum and bass music which would have been so much better as the intro song. You have to wonder what was going through their heads when they OK'd this. :\

To all you boneheads that said we haven't heard the song yet so why judge, well we have now & boy were we right in our assumptions. The song is one of the worst I've ever heard. although in the end it's sad really that if I want to watch the video it has to be on mute. plus, in gt4 didn't panama by van hallen get you amped? oh well. @least the game is almost out & that's what's important
 
Iam not satisfied. But then again, Gran Turismo has almost always had BAD music. Except for some tracks in GT4, like the intro and Freewheel Burning by Priest. Yeah, it should be pure rocknroll music in a racing game not some sissy ass pop music. But on the other hand, if my fav bands were in the game I would be sick hearing the music after 2 years of playing.

But music I would find fitting, is the most by Priest, then Megadeth, AC/DC, Kizz, ACCEPT, Black Sabbath yeah and so on...

Well how about this? I find your taste in rock and roll horrendous. Every band you mentioned would be a horrible fit for GT5, in my opinion.

I can't stand MCR, but even if I could, the song doesn't fit at all. I don't like techno or whatever it is they usually use, unless it's in a GT trailer because the energetic, driving style of that music goes perfectly with the video. Even the song from the GT5P video - it's more or less the same style as MCR, but it's fast-paced and goes well.

What happened to them always using 'timeless' music in their games?
