Are you satisfied with the choice of the intro song, in GT5?

Nah, all the songs have sucked for the intro songs in GT. The best of them though was in GT2 with the Cardigans playing 'Losing My Favorite Game' Whatever though, what do you expect, its a videogame, they all typically have lousy soundtracks unless they have an actual score made for the game.

Damn, there's still not a leaked studio version yet? I wanna hear it.

You want to hear the worst no talented rock/pop group known over the world ?

Are you one of the band members or did they pay you ? :dopey:

3points why they are so good :P
1-The instruments sound like dog **** (not only this song).
2-The Lead singer got something up his arse, and his lyrics give "evil lovin" teens exuses to cut themselve.
3-They claim not to be EMO but they ARE

and the big record companys keep shuving it into our fases , CRAP ASS ALL FOR THE MONY NO REAL ARTIST PROMOTING CRAP COMPANYS RUIN THE RADIO STATIONS WHIT CRAP MUSIC !!! MAD I AM ! MAAAAAD!

^ Let's try to be a little more constructive than the word "gay".

In fact, avoid the word to describe anything at GTPlanet altogether.

The guys responsible for the GT soundtracks definitely have a really weird taste in music. It's pretty bad, but that's just my opinion. I think the only positive thing I can say for the last few GT games music is: At least it's not a cliché. :P

at the end of the day does it really matter what the intro song is going to be?

does it really matter what the intro song is? u r all (- a couple few)acting like u r going to hear the song all the time while playing the game..

I'll tell you what matters; Following the rules of the forum and using the edit button rather than double posting.

You will not use “textspeak” (“r”, “u”, “plz”, etc.) in your messages. Decent grammar is expected at all times, including proper usage of capital letters.

In fact you do hear the intro song all the time. I've grown to hate the first 2 seconds of Prologue's intro more than I thought possible.

It can't be as bad as 'Panama,' and GT4 turned out okay in spite of it.

As long as I don't have to hear it *all* the time, like burnout paradise made me do, I think I'll be fine with whatever PD chooses. GT soundtracks are all pretty cringe-worthy.

Did you guys know you can go to the options menu and turn off the intro movie completely? Game just boots to your main menu instead.

And I'm pretty sure GT5 will have just the same option. So I still don't understand people complaining about it... :grumpy:

Unless you think you can turn it off or know everything in the menu it will start up with that stupid ding ding ding and people will complain.

Are you satisfied with the choice of the Intro song's performing band in GT5?

I'll find out when I hear a studio version of the song.

Better question yet, how many people here will spend more than three minutes each time watching the intro video? Most of us will skip the intro anyways, so why complain about something you're not going to see or hear?

Just found this, short preview of the studio version of "Planetary (Go!)"

I'm starting to at least accept it (it's not THAT bad) ...but still there would be better songs for the intro :/

Bump.

Here's the song. Someone posted it in the news thread

What the hell man...

I bet the japanese will get something cool. Like this.

Look at the japanese gt4 intro.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEFsJWcjBmE&feature=related

It was cooler than other regions.
That would have been awesome for 5. Lol i woudln't mind if they just kept using moon over castle for every single GT game intro now haha.
I bet it the intro will be awesome for 5 in japan.

and we're stuck with see above post.

So will you guy's listen to the track every time you turn on the game ? Personally I hit the x button as soon as the screen changes so the tune choice means nothing to me although the song sound's like every other gt opening track.

You know there's the option in GT4/TT/Prologue/PSP to turn off the intro movie, right?

I imagine the studio version of the song will actually work pretty decently as opening music fodder, lyrics and the lead singer's whiney voice aside. The opening in that leaked concert version (ie, the first few seconds) sounds right at home as a sort of anticipation-buildup theme. Still... I'll probably watch it once then never again unless I'm bored. Just like I'll quickly scan over the full-game's playlist before telling the game to just use one of my personal playlists (for the times I actually want to hear music when I'm driving).

Semi O/T, but I do wish we had the option to decide for in-race music while actually in the race, instead of having to turn it on or off in just the options menu. Wouldn't mind the ability to skip a song either, for that matter, but button real estate is going to be at a premium.

I saw the music video premiere yesterday (coincedentally on Nov.2) and the song wasn't all emo or anything. It was actually pretty upbeat and I pictured it with GT5.. Might actually be a good song choice!

The opening music choice should have been Bob Marley's 'Waiting in Vain' :)

I don't wanna wait in vain for your love;
I don't wanna wait in vain for your love.
From the very first time I rest my eyes on you, girl,
My heart says follow t'rough.
But I know, now, that I'm way down on your line,
But the waitin' feel is fine:
So don't treat me like a puppet on a string,
'Cause I know I have to do my thing.
Don't talk to me as if you think I'm dumb;
I wanna know when you're gonna come - soon.
:)
