Physics on the PC version have not changed in several updates.

PC & not in console (physics are on par with PC version 1.13 in 1.14 update) :

BTW, this first some things aren't physics / car behaviour realeated but aren't in console version...

PC version 1.13
- Added downshift protection alert (can be disabled through the launcher options)
- Added Pitstop quickmenu + Setup pitstop strategy: this can be custumized and disabled
PC version 1.13.2
- Added special events for latest free content

Now physics / car behaviour realeated differences... And only from the Last 6 updates...still missing content and features of lot older PC updates.

PC version 1.13.1

- Fixed Mazda MX-5 NA automatic clutch assist.
- Small adjustments to Mazda MX-5 NA aero drag, wheels inertia and other bits and bytes here and there.

PC version 1.14

- Added wind algorithm
(that affects physics)
- Improved Downshift Protection algorithm
(more behaviour than physics really, but can make a difference in times)
- Added physics option for different fuel weight/density
(don't know how they will port that to consoles)
- Adjusted Lotus 98T tyre wear
(little fix to tyre model, but change behaviour)

PC version 1.14.2

- Improved braking force and stopping distance for Lotus Elise SC (and step models), Lotus 2-eleven and Lotus Exige 240 and Scura
(more behaviour than physics really, but make a difference)

PC version 1.14.4

- Corrected Mercedes C9 front tyre wear
- Corrected Glickenhaus SCG003 setup dampers slider numbering
- Improved live axle simulation
- Updated live axle physics for Alfa Romeo GTA, Ford Escort RS, Maserati 250F 6cyl & 12cyl, Toyota AE86 stock, drift & tuned. Old setups might need to be tweaked again.

So firmware realeated but there's a difference between console version and PC version in physics and behaviour.

More information on FFB

So like i said before, the FFB was rewrote for consoles, even if they only relies on the forces that physics generate makes that there's a little difference in FFB between consoles and PC version.

That is one thing BTW that is different in other games like dirt rally or project C.A.R.S...

Even between consoles.

Dirt rally Xbox One for example has more strong FFB in Thrustmaster wheels than the PS4 version
And both has subtitle differences with PC version.

So diferences are there, and in case of assetto, well the console version globally is quite different from PC version and physics side it will always be a good step behind.
FFB side..well also some subtitle diferences in feel.

Wow. I didn't know about that steering bug at all. Is it just a visual problem? Or does the actual steering get screwed up as well? Either way, that would frustrate the hell out of me. +1 for the dude who reported the problem with evidence along with a written description of the bug. 👍 I hope it's taken care of in the very next update.

It screws steering also,it isn't visual (only)
The G29 stays bugged with the rotation of the F1 for example on a car like the Mazda that have a big more rotation.

And yes, thumps up for that guy, it took time before he was listed by Stefano.

All of my friends with the G29 tried the steps and have the DoR bug..
Most of them were playing with dash cam that they didn't see the virtual wheel...
But once tried the issue they said me that it indeed also affect steering.

"hotfix" is for the moment restart the game.

Hopefuly The G29 users get that fixed soon.

Oh wow...So it's only G29 users suffering from this? Not Thrustmaster or Fanatec, etc.? I'm shocked I wasn't aware of this. I try to stay up-to-date on all the pains afflicting the console version. :boggled:

The G29 is the only affected with the DoR rotation bug yes.

The trusthmaster has the button layout problem, it's minor and with the personalised button mapping feature we will can fix the little things like the ability to modify ABS and TC on hybrid cars that we can't in the 3 prefixed layouts...
Or look left and right and be able to change brake balance on the fly again.

Fanatec wasn't on PS4 till know(oficial CSL elite racing wheel) .. But seems to have problems with button Layouts that don't work once on track
http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/i...cing-wheel-officially-licensed-for-ps4.45784/

They didn't receive any official reply from kunos or 505Games..
But i hope that those guys that spend 500$ on a wheel (without pedals because that is apart ) get at least an official reply soon and that 1.15 lands soon with the button Mapping feature.
But at least one fixed layout should been working....:guilty:

The highlands is a great track, few technicals thru the town but those high-speed straits through the bumps and undulations... amazing
Yea I love highlands long, try driving in road cars and sticking in one lane. I also love Highlands short, been going through every car on there over the last few weeks and only one was boring on that track ( forgot which one now lol ). I wish there was a longer version of the short ( city track basically ).

That's how I often drive when I'm on regular roads, like Highlands or Black Cat County. It definitely makes for a much more challenging drive. There are quite a few mod tracks that are just perfect for driving like I'm on a real road. Speaking of BCC - I completely forgot to try that modded surface for BCC. It changes BCC from 4 lanes wide to just 2 lanes with break-down lanes.

It's been so freakin' long. I can't even remember what today's XBox One update contains. Was there a changelog?

That's cool, I always thought it would be good if Kunos gave us a variation with one of the lanes closed off with barriers.

Wait until you race it online, freaking pinball derby!
I have once, never again lol. Why can't these people understand that you can't over take 5 or 6 cars in one tight corner? And that you have to negotiate your way through one by one when the time is right? If you think you you should be first then put in the fasted qualify time. That's why I stick to race weekend on highlands short. Some of the corners are a little too tight though, but I suppose that's because its made for low powered cars right?

Hey... No chancelog was given in the forum announcing that the update was free.

The lady didn't even put the post in the specific Xbox One version forum. :D

I've raced there with competent racers and it was still a pinball derby. It's fun to drive around but it's just so tight and narrow that it's hard to have clean racing there even with a skilled group.

And you know of course that you have to drive left in Scotland ;) Boring is probably the Abarth 595SS. Once you feel the vibe you love that little car and sometimes so frustrating to find that last 0,x seconds to set a better time. Highlands long are 6:45:495 minutes of relax therapy

Stick to the abarth 69 then haha.

Don't be silly, everyone knows they're all drunk in Scotland! They drive on both sides:)

Yes I know that feeling with the Abarth 595 as I tried it on the burn. Will try it on Highlands.

Thanks. I couldn't remember what they were missing & getting with this update.

Besides the free cars & tracks, the big pro's in my opinion are: All cars are now on the same tire model (v10). Aristotelis also re-balanced every car's chassis & inertia. If you were really in tune with a particular car...you WILL feel a difference. IMHO, the combination of the v10 tires and rebalanced chassis has made the cars more connected to road from my point of view. I started saving a lot of slides that I just couldn't before the update. It's probably milliseconds, but I feel slip & broken traction better since this update went live for PC players. Cockpit adjustments are huge, in my opinion.

Holy crap...this is the update for custom lobbies? Yikes...I thought both consoles had that capability already. :boggled: Custom Championships are fun too -- if you prefer staying offline (as I do). It's too bad that you guys are still waiting for the improved AI. Man, I really hope they get this next update out, pronto.

I don't know how many XBox players liked the BMW M4, but definitely give the BMW M4 Akrapovic a try regardless of your stock M4 feelings. It sounds much better and it's got more power. Not a ton, but it is more powerful than the stock. So much low-end torque in that car. I love it.
