One thing is for sure though. We are in a very exciting time for racing sims. You can't lose no matter which way you turn:)

+1 👍 Awesome times for Sim fans!

Stuff is surfacing like crazy. Here are some preview pics of 1.0 career menus and screenshots.

Nice find, thanks! Google translation from Italian to German is horrible

Career mode looks promising. Looks like a lot of stuff to do. I see 3 pages with 10 series per page. Makes ~25-30 series * ~5 events per series makes about 120-150 races, time attacks whatever.

The only thing I hope is that they dont implement drift events to a career because no chance I can drift and I am not sure if this really has to been in an career mode.

Agreed, I am hoping they have a whole separate drift mode separate from the racing. I am sure drifters wouldn't mind that. Having it integrated in the normal career mode is horrible for people who don't care for or not good at drifting.

I agree on the drifting thing, I hope it's not a part of the career but judging by the EA builds we've seen, drifting events are always mixed along regular races and time trials...

Lack of first party tracks is an issue but they're just starting out, more will come. Let's not forget the Green Hell is coming shortly after launch!

That's an impressive list! Just needs more tracks! Or dare I say more relevant tracks... yeah, I'm being a snob and im very greatfull for what is likely the first labor scanned Nurburgring in too many years... Gt is still using the 07 version and it's still the most accurate available even though the track has changed here are there since then.

Pretty sure it is, the mod is probably the best one out right now. Kunos probably noticed and picked up the license and had the creator finish it. Just like how URD is doing the C7 GTE for Kunos.

The Shelby is an official AC car now. It seems Kunos has acquired the license and is developing the car further.

They should license the Mazda Miata too, and the Nissan Primera, and the Audi Sport Quattro and the...

They should license the Audi A4 Quattro Avant (or at least RS4/RS6), Mclaren F1, Ferrari F50, Lancia Delta....

Should just stop there because It will turn into a long ass list of wants and wishes as usual, hah. I think the car list is mighty impressive and it's definitely come a long way since the original plans. Track wise it's awesome too, though I will definitely yearn for Suzuka and Bathurst, though there are always non-official mod versions they can never compare to laser scans, and that's the problem when you get spoiled by laser scan versions being so good.

Amazing stuff...

^ Hmm.. about what I guessed. Perhaps there will be exact details in game where the vehicle specs are (need to install AC again, been a long time since I last tried it). Mysterious designations and those "*" references to all too often non existing footnotes always stress me out :p

I hope you don´t mean Kazunori shortly? I hope we´ll see the NS within this year.

Yeah, have seen that list on racedepartment and was very suprised about Zandvoort. Never heard any word about it that it will be in AC.

Can´t wait for the dream pack. Excited about the Mercedes Evo 2, was one of my favourite cars in Gran Turismo. And of course the Nordschleife.

You've been away too long:D

Does anybody know exactly what "S1" and "S3" means, and what do the "(upgrade*)" and "(upgrade**)" refer to? Can't find any original sources to explain it...
As @TheKitten says, those are upgrades to the base car. S2 would be what you see in a drop down menu in the car selection screen. Sometimes more HP but not always. The S version of the 458 has the same HP but better suspension and tires. The S version of one of the Evora's has 55 more HP and better suspension and tires. It's different on each car that has an upgrade but all the ones I've driven are quite mild upgrades, not like you'll find in GT or Forza. More like turning your car into a track day vehicle rather than a full blown race car.

Nah, It's in their best interest for Nordschleife to be ready before Christmas at the most... it will drive sales. Hell, even iRacing announced they'd scan the 'ring after years of being hesitant to do it. I'm willing to bet AC's inclusion of the track had some part in that decision.

As for NS, sorry I don't know what that is. :P

From the article: "Mr. Gabriele Piana is one of the instructors of RSRNurburg. They have a driving academy on both the NĂĽrburgring, and Spa Francorchamps, and he has done many, many miles on both tracks. Gabriele was able to check out the track, and watch for those special places only a regular knows. His verdict was very short. Spot on. The only thing he could see that was missing was a cone here and there. Since we had the opportunity, we naturally invited Gabriele to test the NĂĽrburg GP as well, after a few laps, he came to the exact same conclusion. Spot on again!"

I'd say this bodes well for the accuracy of the Nordschleife. :)

I hope 1.0 is more efficient to run graphically. My GPU is being RMA'd and I won't get it back until just before Christmas apparently. Been using a mid tier 2008 GPU for now which has really struggled over the last few update patches.

Still, cannot wait for the final release.

will it be a photo finish to the racing line? which is coming out first, AC 1.0 with Dream DLC, or Project Cars? oh well, no matter, I will be owning both and playing them well until GT7 hits on PS4 hopfully sometime before 2019. gg GT5&6, thank you for the memories.

If you go to the section where you can select paint, what showroom and pick the car version and click on the upgrades it gives a description of what each upgrade includes.

I guess we wont get anything tomorrow besides the news what 1.0 will bring. Was hoping for the RC and then in 2 weeks the 1.0

I´m so hyped fot the career mode because that lacks the most on PC sims.

Me too. I saw in a video that PCars will let you do career without grinding. Would be cool if AC took that approach as well, or at least gives you the option to do so. Still, driving in AC is so fun that I guess I wouldn't mind a little bit of grinding. :)
