anyone else on the new preview? For some reason the RSS indycar 2020 has some ai picking the wet tires and some the normal Hard tires during clear weather. Is this because of a bug or having extended physics activated?

Porsche 928 GTS (1994) v1.1
Our Racing Simulator
Fixed a few bugs, corrected a bunch of mistakes, added some more features and a little more optimization. Thank you all for your feedback.

But this update mostly Soma Ito who built no less than 22 lights refraction code in 1 day! No stress, no drama. This talented young man just got on with it and sent me the code. Very little help from me with the headlights and some tweaking here and there but truly excellent work my friend.

This coming week we'll have our physics guru JakubP have a scan over the fine details and the feedback I've had so far and see if we can make this awesome Porsche chariot ride a little bit better, pull a little bit harder and see if we can dial up the fun factor too. Look forward to this in a future update.

I would rather appreciate the modders would invest a little bit more time instead I need to care about switching it from another car. That´s only the second option especially when we don´t have a real alternative currently.

i swapd the sound with dan bucsas porsche 944 turbo s and i'm pretty fine with that so far...

I think a great deal of time was spent on this car.
If like you say there's no real alternative to the audio used, then... were you expecting a brand new sound made especially for the car? That's quite a specialist task, and doesn't happen all that often.

i swapd the sound with dan bucsas porsche 944 turbo s and i'm pretty fine with that so far...

There you go, an alternative is only a couple of clicks away.

But the 944 is a 4 cylinder (!) turbo and not a V8 NA. Where´s the point to use that sound?

But it's a 928 GTS with a V8.

Hey guys I bought the Peugeot 908 HDI from simdev but the sound come from the Audi r18 e tron that's clearly not a diesel V12 so I ask hear if someone can link me the sound of V12 HDI I searched a long time but I can't find it

For the 928 GTS, I'm trying this SFX for now. Still not sure, but probably better than the SFX that came with the last version. They will still be updating this again in the near future, so maybe someone could offer a suggestion or create SFX for them.

I think if you adjust ksambient or ksdiffuse in CM showroom, you can lower the darkness of the glass.

I am glad if it makes you happy, but just want to mention the 928 has a V8 non turbo engine.

I also think the engine sound is atrocious, but might be a good idea to find something at least somehow similar to what a 928 GTS sounds like.

Sorry for double posting but this is the sound from Kunos Maserati 250F isn´t it (I did not check it yet but I remember that sound very well)?

For myself, I have swapped the sound from the 348 tb from Velos. Fits at least the best for me.

The sound is so, so important to a car. For me it goes handling>sound>graphics. The difficulty is that the 928 has a sophisticated (ish) flat-plane sounding V8. More like an Esprit V8 and some of the Ferrari's.

I drew this a while ago for my kids, to be able to 3D print, because, well, "HEAVY MACHINE GUN!!!"

Anyway, been thinking might be fun to get it into AC, but I would need to redraw it so the tracks form a complete loop instead of just being visual for printing, then, occurs to me, I have no idea if AC can actually work with tracks instead of wheels? Can the wheel just be set to "render == false" and the tracks are just an animation? Can the animation speed be tied to the speed of the vehicle?

I don´t own the rss indy but I do know they´ve added "rain" tyres to their cars before... afaik that will cause issues with csp rain tyres, maybe it has something to do with that? try removing the car´s rain tyres if it has any...

enabling flames in particlesFX usually solves it
