Try with Microsoft Edge to download from ASR. Firefox never seems to work for that site or it's just painfully slow

I can not download any car from ASR and the truth interests me all ... if any charitable soul wants to load them in some other link and send it to me I appreciate it

hmmm...
there are people who put hundreds/thousands hours of their free time in building mods.
some wants something back, some give it for free. if you don't want to pay for something go for the one that's for free, there are tons of free contents for ac.
but I bet you want for free what has to be paid.

I know there's are tons of free contents for ac, but lacking some specific contents making me disappointed and a little frustration.
And I'm a bad person that I don't have any credit cards or Paypals, so is impossible to buy all those Network-based products.

CSP is following the seasons.
If you want another time of year:
DRIVE page, next to Time, you'll see 3 dots. Click them and you can choose any date. Pick full summer and you'll drive in full summer.

Or:

SETTINGS > TRACK ADJUSTMENTS: untick Allow seasonal adjustments

Thanks Fana , Portakal and the rest. In the morning , after I get some coffee in me so my brain is working , I'll try this out.

What's weird is , how some CSP versions work well for some , and some other's it doesn't work at all. 205 wouldn't work with the AER car for me , nor would the Mills Metro 1.2v. Which does seem to work for others?? :irked: I'm sure there are like one million different variables going on here.....but I sure would like to understand some of them.

It's pretty damn easy to set up a paypal account ya know? If you enjoy this hobby , learn to support the good and homest modding groups. Otherwise , believe it or not.....it'll kill this sim. I'm sure you can figure something out , just like the other guys that pop in here with about 10 posts asking for nothing but " free " paid mods.

Hey broham. I didn't see you at PIR plowing through the Christmas lights on the backstretch. What gives?:lol:

Just sayin, if you meant IER (p13), the car doesn't work with 205.
I've been on 205 forever because its by far the most stable, dust off track - not vegetables etc. But with the recent shader guess its time to move on.

cheers man

Maybe it's not meant to mean anything?

Its done as a petty, childish way of saying, "see this, ask or beg me for it, it makes me feel important". But in reality, its a shiny heap of drainage clogging stank.

Small update on first person helmets. Subtle details like the visor reflections not showing due to the quality of the picture. Also, feels a lot better in motion.

Here's a glimpse on how it feels (recorded by someone I don't know) with my previous helmet models:

Looks great and I would love to test in VR, can you make the lid move with your head? Doesn't seem to in that vid. Cheers

P.........If you ever make it to a Thursday night motocross at PIR , you could wander through the pits of the guys that have been there a long time, and ask " Has anyone ever hit one of those light posts so hard , to knock a 55 gallon drum sized light bulb out of one of those huge light poles ?".......I myself , can lay claim to be the only person that has ever done done that. Started racing PIR in 1982 and have had some knarly wrecks there over the years. ( Hauled out in an ambulance once as well ). So weird......racing 35+ years in the dirt , in the in-field at PIR , and I know hardly nothing to the road course that surrounds the MX track. I have a huge history at that place , and wn a few championships as well. Some of my most fondest memories of racing , were at PIR on a hot Thursday night , racing MX in the Pro / INT class at PIR! Good times! And yes , my avatar cartoon , is really me!

No it is a skin for a car that is readily available... the skin will be uploaded to RD once complete.

If you fancy swapping around some stuff you can get it to play with the bazza TCL pack..... or do you just want everything on a plate?

Actually the Williams FW14 had semi-automatic Gearbox since 1991 right from the beginning. THat was because both cars retired at the first Grand Prix that year. And after many other gearbox failures that year they sorted it out and 1992 was the Williams year how we all know.
I looked at some reference materials but found no information
Williams used a semi-automatic transmission in 1991. Can you give any confirmation of this?

I'm the only one who can't download the ASR mods?

I've been having this problem for the last month or so. Sent an email to ASR but basically they told me it's my own problem, because they can DL everything ok from their side. Well no 🤬, it's your own server. I never had any problem downloading from any site, 100Mpbs connection, tried firefox/edge but no cigar. Finally, the trick that made it work is starting the download using VPN. It's slow but for some reason this enables the download to complete fully instead of failing at around 75%.

It's a massive pain. Dunno why they can't just use a proper file sharing site like everyone else.

Welcome to GTPlanet
We cover the world of racing games, motorsport, and car culture.

Anyone know why they don't cover rF2?

Edit, actually they do sort of, this was the last post.

The Nurburgring Comes to rFactor 2 (Plus a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Car)
rFactor 2 4 Sep 28, 2019 by Kyle Patrick

Edit,
Too bad there is not a dedicated forum thread for rF2.

Well there's no dedicated thread for a lot of games so never mind :boggled: Someone please just delete this entire post...I'm having an off day

Main thread for rF2 here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/rfactor-2-v982-32-64bit.131809/

Unfortunately it's one of those sims that doesn't seem to take off round these parts, so unlikely that it'll get its own subforum. Though RRRE was pretty unpopular for quite some time until Jordan decides to move the subforum from the Other Games section inside Console&Gaming to the main page, so who knows.

BTW guys, I accidentally stumbled upon the magnum opus of AC mod links :D Good luck to those who have OCD wanting to download every mod :lol:

What? You still want more? Then help yourself to this database from a few hundred pages back. I'm pretty sure there's a large overlap between the two in terms of content, but ain't nobody got the time to crosscheck :lol:

Is there a setting in CSP that i have clicked which makes all the 'chrome' really reflective of the road? In cockpit it is really jarring in the vintage racers.
I believe you can now mask cockpit items from reflecting the environment (using a config, probably) but don't have the details I'm afraid.

Yepp, should be easy to make with config. @gergerger posted here some time ago a way to do this:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/assetto-corsa-pc-mod-discussion.307899/page-587#post-12908260

And before some others and imo me too, for the other cars. It´s a rerolling question every few weeks. ;)
Imo one of the last time was Fana asking the same for the Eagle Speedster.
Workaround:
Code:
[SHADER_REPLACEMENT_0]
ACTIVE = 1
DESCRIPTION = ksPerPixelReflection to ksPerPixel
MATERIALS = chrome_
SHADER = ksPerPixel
in extension\ext_config.ini or in ..\assettocorsa\extension\config\cars\mods\eagle_speedster.ini to make it just unreflective. :)

Maybe it's not meant to mean anything?
Just a new skin i made on a classic UK car.
Maybe i should of done a witty meme.

Hi mate.
I honestly don't know what a single picture stands for. Makes me think if it's a nice screenshot of a car/track combo we already possess, a new skin, a soon to be (or not) release material. That's what I meant. Cheers!

Been looking for a mod like this, has it been released?

Not yet. An "old gen" version is available on Racedepartment, with nearly 120 helmet. I'm currently making car-by-car helmets (except for most old F1/Grand prix cars). I expect to finish it by january 15.

I with any PP filter I cannot gain such reflect sun glare effect.
In its this video there is too much, I would like to have less.
