I have Fanatec GT3 RS v2 wheel, is it possible to change button assignments, if so then how?
I tried both DFGT and DFP and it doesn't work.
Any help will be appreciated.

Odd, pretty sure i used either the dfgt or dfpro to map gt2.

now that Gt recognizes the g-series maybe map it to that. The fanatec wheels mimic the logitech wheels while in ps3 mode.

If i can ill check tonight as to which one I used. No promises though.

Well, for my CSR, it was the G25 that the game allowed me to change the buttons with. I don't know if it'll be the same for your GT3, but it should work with one them; so, just try them all 'til you get the right one.

DFpro button settings are the ones to change for the GT3 RS. Be sure to try changing the settings for both controller 1 and 2. I believe it's #2 you want to change if you use a DS3 to navigate the menus(which has to be #1).

Use the DFP selection to map the buttons. It was the first thing I did when I got my GT3rs. Unfortunately, nothing can really be done about the buttons on the lower spoke. Yes, the directional buttons can be remapped to the left or right cross bar.

If the "D pad" really bugs you, maybe map some not so frequently used buttons down there. It really sucks trying to make RTS adjustments on the default D Pad's position.

So thankful PD allows us to map every single button!

I just use the controller for using the in-car menu(and turning it on and off). I don't think I even can with the wheel, all I use the wheel's D-pad for is turning the ghost on and off.

But I already tried both DFP and DFGT without success...

It really is the DFP. I just checked my options and that's the only one that remotely matches my setup. Are you sure you tried both #1 and #2? Mine are both identical so I can't say for sure which one it is that works.

I'm still trying to make this work with my GT2 RS V2. I've mapped both sets of DFP buttons identically and tried setting the controller to both 1 and 2. Nothing seems to work. If you get this working, please post back with exactly what you did.

Since Spec 2 there is a G25 profile.

My Fanatec GT2 wheel now uses the G25 controller 1 profile, I have various buttons mapped to others (including reversing the sequential shifter compared to the paddles) and my settings changes in that profile are applied.

Thanks for posting that.👍
I couldn't make it work with the DFP profile either.

Sorry, I didn't mean to confuse you any further. I honestly didn't even check the G25 and G27 button layouts since those were added long after I had set up my wheel. I had no idea they would have imported my DFP buttons into another wheel's settings, while still leaving the ones I changed as they were. I just knew that nothing had changed about the way my buttons worked.

Thanks for clearing that up, as I'm sure I would have been just as frustrated when I did try to change some buttons in the future. Now I get to try to figure out which button is which on a whole new map. Yay!

Actually it's very simple: Each G25 button also shows the corresponding controller button (L1, R3, etc...) in the bottom left corner of the screen. Since you know which Fanatec button is mapped to which controller button, you should be sorted in no time atall.

I can confirm that Fanatec wheels use G25 profile since Spec II.
G25 #2 worked for me.

Thanks guys for helping me out.

Thanks... I've been trying to change my horn button for the flasher for a while but the DFP wasn't doing jack anymore... I was going a bit crazy since that's where I configured everything before.
