True, but Ferrari also did the brilliant job of announcing it following the first win & marketing it as a unrestricted version of the winning car. Unlike Aston Martin, Ferrari has also wasted zero time getting them out to customers. I believe there's already 2 dozen or so units out of the supposedly 33 vs. maybe 20 or so Pros where a large number have been discovered through the 2nd hand market.Ferrari did the same with the 499P to make the Modificata
That's due to the Pros being marketed as limited to 25 cars (now 40) which reportedly all sold out when they were announced back in 2018. I believe Aston had planned to take the cars racing, but the project was cancelled in 2020, iirc. Now that they've got some actual Valkyries racing, this is a good way to double dip back into that buyer market with just 10 units.Well those are all basically the same car underneath besides the exterior paint or the interior trim and materials.
I’m just surprised Aston Martin went through the trouble of re-engineering the Valkyrie LMH to make another track day car instead of building a few more AMR Pros with the Hypercar livery instead which probably would have been much cheaper and still sold out.
They're marketing this as sharing the same dynamics as the race car, so it looks like it'll be noticeably different to a 1,000Hp+ Pro. I wouldn't be surprised if 10 cars at $5 million a piece starting, is a good way to inject over $50 million back into the racing program alone or Aston Martin.
