Audi, BMW or Mercedes?

In game:

1. Mercedes - The C63, SLS and SLR are just amazing.
2. BMW - Although I dislike the 1-series, there's plenty of ///M Power to keep me happy. :D
3. Audi - Not a fan of the TT or R8, which makes up the bulk of the Audi dealer.

In real life:

1. BMW - Mainly because I love old Beemer's. Unfortunately their 2011 styling direction looks worse than what they have now.
2. Mercedes - Same as BMW, except I think Mercedes are making better looking cars for 2011, so at some point I'll have to rank Mercedes above BMW.
3. Audi - They're not bad cars, but they're not up there with BMW or Mercedes yet I think. I'd rather put VW here actually.
 
This is my order, it happens to be alphabetical

Audi - R8, R8, R10

BWM - M series and the M3 GTR

Mercedes - Good engines in tanks
 
All of them.
I'd really like to say BWM is is #1, but the company just isn't well represented in the game.
 
I'd have to go with Mercedes just because of their huge range of performance cars, but that is more thanks to AMG than Mercedes themselves. But with cars like the SLS, SLR, and the whole SL series, not to mention the c63 and clk's and cls's, Mercedes just takes it. I'd have to go with Audi next because of the r8, rs6, and the gorgeous new s5 that isn't in game :'( and I'd put BMW last, not because they're bad cars, but all they really offer are a few //M cars and no real flagship. The m3 is a blast but for BMW to pull ahead in gt5 they would at least need to add the m6 amd 1 series M.
 
Audi for me, the road car and the R8 LM , i mean, not the LMP racer.
I love Merc. too but only two caught my heart, SLR and 300SL.
As for BMW, it's not that i hate it. I don't like either. Maybe too 'normal', i guess. :dopey:
 
I own an M3 and an E63, but between them I don't have a favorite. I would never own an Audi.

In the game, I like the beemers better than the Mercs.
 
Audis are drag racing BEASTS!

But seriously, I'd put Mercedes first.

that said, in terms of supercars i prefer the audi r8 over all for its 4wd and interior, but the sls and slr are just so fun to mess around in, while the bmw is my drift car ;D

soo i guess im audi, if just barely.
 
ANY BMW >>> .... then loosely tied in distant 2nd, some Merc > some Audi.
 
As an Audi fan... my choice is easy :dopey:

In motorsports, I'm glad that BMW finally grew a set and brought out their M3 GTR for LMS/ALMS. DTM was strange seeing only the Mercs and Audis with no BMW, and the class lower had BMW compete with the likes of Chevy, Vauxhaul and Seat. Just didn't seem right.

I have to admit... I like (and dislike) cars from each of these 3 euro car makers.

Too bad this car is not in GT5,even till this day no BMW M3 can touch it!

Depends a lot of what kinda type car you are watching.
In my opinion, Mercedes or Audi. Mercedes looks more cool(300SL), then Audi has more powerful cars(R10, R18, R8). BMW is somewhat boring. Even when it has M3 GTR and cool touring cars.
I have spotted that usually all "cool guys" (arses) drive in BMW.(I'm definetly not meaning that all BMW drivers are arses.)
It has been researched that BMW and Mercedes drivers are more agressive than other drivers. That perhaps did not have anything to do with the thread, just a interesting fact, if its true.

As a compromise, James May is the best.
 
I was shocked at how good it was to drive the stock BMW road cars, M3 and Z4 M, in GT5 - then I bought the CSL from UCD. :):)

CLS is lovely car, very balanced M3 GTR... mehhh
 
BMW all the way, just love it, love it, and love it. IRL I have an old nissan altima but my next car will be a BMW 3 series coupe I am scanning the dealerships for a good priced 330ci. My least favorite is Mercedes, cant get over the ugly rear ends of c class.
 
In real life I just bought a E90 M3 so I'll go with BMW. To me they make cars that give the best "feel" of all non-exotic car-makers.

BMW > Mercedes > Audi, in the game and real life.

BMW's are the best to drive overall... I don't think they make a bad car to drive (though some like the X6 are a bit suspect styling and purpose wise). Mercedes a close 2nd and in some classes better (IMO, S Class > 7 series for example).

Audi, hmmmm, great interiors and build quality, but that's all you can say positively about them with the exception of the R8 and last generation RS4.

Other than those 2, they just aren't in the same league to drive when compared to BMW and Mercedes... rubbish steering, over servoed brakes, no suspension compliance and permanent understeer whatever you do to try and avoid it. Plus they all look like slightly bigger or smaller versions of exactly the same car.

Before buying my M3 I test drove a 335i with and without xdrive, Audi S4, and M3 with DCT and 6M. I agree with your assessment of Audi's. I really liked the feel of being in the car (they do definitely have the best interiors and most user friendly systems). For driving the Audi just felt bland in comparison to the BMW. The M3 to me was way more fun to drive than the S4. I too found the Audi exterior styling very bland.
 
Audi, my favorite car brand. From the TT Quattro to the R18. I love Audi's.
 
Depends on what I'm kind of car I'm "buying" (yeah, right). Wait, that's a common theme already. Fancy that.

Anyway, this should summarise things nicely, in no particular order:
Mercedes CLS W219 - the new one is ugly! To be driven in, of course.
BMW M3 E46 - it's just better* than the E92, for the driving holidays :)
Audi S4 Avant B8 - for doing stuff with.

If I had the cash, I might be tempted by an A3 and / or M5 to complete the fleet, though. :p
Then again, plenty of other manufacturers tempt me with their models past and present. I guess that's where GT comes in...

BMW definitely.

Most Audi's have been bred from front-drive chassis, and havent been engineered from the ground up with purity of sports driving in mind.
That, and their brand-image has changed over the years from 'Boring business-executive commuter' to now 'so-in-right-now with blingin' LED lights and R8 over-popularity'.

Neither of these images are very appealing.

Merc? A bit pretentious, and aimed at an older generation, but that new AMG C63 Coupe to rival M3 is pretty tasty...

It's not like the Mustang is slow, it just means it would beat a few Mercedes too. But not the Audi R8.
 
Probably gonna have to go with the Mercedes, CLS, SLS, SLR, 300SL, SL65, etc..
