could any of you guys give me a small list of bass songs? If at all possible songs directed towards 10" subs.
I looked around and didnt find anything real good.

Daz Dillinger - My System is the bassiest (is that a word?) song I have ever heard. The song sucks, but the bass is deep.

'Chemical Brothers - Influenced' is right up there too. Or right down there in this case.

I had a load of Frequency tests on CD, but I lost the bloody CD. I got it off an old car mag.

Search Kazaa for "THX". You'll get a lot of speaker test tracks for audio staging. Everything from the "Classic Intro" from the movies to helicopters, to jets flying overhead(which sounds really cool), to tweeter tests (which is LOUD, get ready to break some glass)

Denon's Hi-Fi Check CD.

It contains many tests, including test tones. These tones range from 4 (!) to 20,000 Hz.

I don't know of any transducer that can produce 4 Hz at an amplitude great enough to be perceivable (note that i say perceivable, not audible ). However, if your sub can play a 16 Hz test tone, your entire car will begin to oscillate.

Depends on your point of view. I found it rather enjoyable. Of course, I was running the tone through a home sub - it's pretty impressive when you can simulate a Magnitude 1 earthquake in the home.

Loud? Not really. High amplitude? Yes indeedy. See, 16 Hz is inaudible to humans. However, the shaking and bouncing of every object in the room (including the floor) is easily perceptible.

Of course, the cheapest sub I know offhand that will do this is $1500.

No, I don't actually own this sub. 'Twould be nice. I've only borrowed it. Even if it were in my budget, my neighbors wouldn't appreciate it.
