Heh, power 10, interesting. Speaking as a stat junkie, the more the better.
Incidentally, could we see the rest of the power 22? Would like to know where I and a certain Extremely Reliable BMW driver rank in. ^^
About the lottery system: Fancy RPing good, confusion bad. From what I'm reading there's no way to extend a contract if you do extremely well (although that might lead to some Renault-hogging), only abrupt termination of contracts if you suck? Sounds like there'd be a lot more shuffling around with both terminated drivers and drivers with simply ended contracts. It's an interesting idea and I'm up for seeing how it works, unless something better comes along for me to bandwagon onto.
What'd be neat would be a complete driver shakeup every season (take the amount of interested drivers, randomly assign them each to a team, etc.) but that would probably be completely insane, and maybe lead to team issues. Like McLaren probably doesn't want to pair with Dubois after this season
Just a few thoughts.

CCYoshi's World-Class(tm) 2 Race Wrap-Up
Monaco:
Winner: Haswell, Renault (3 out of 4 wins, not bad. Eventless race, almost wire to wire.)
Silver: Chang, Honda (Equally boring race. First major points score of the year - a breakthrough?)
Bronze: Whitcomb, Renault (Started 3rd, ended 3rd. Goes to show the less that happens at Monaco the better.
4th: Machiels, Toyota (Surprisingly, first points of the year. Toyota doesn't seem to have it quite as much in S7 but they have had a few good finishes)
5th: Horton, McLaren (Could've had a top 4 but a late race collision required a pitstop. Luckily he stayed in the points)
6th: Paajanen, Toro Rosso (Good job working way up field slowly from 12th place start.
7th: Davidson, Honda (Started way in the back and had to pit early due to a driver error, turning a 1-stopper into a 2-stop race. Still scored two points.)
8th: Dubois, Super Aguri (Got Bruce McLaren at the end again for the last point - but this time by force.
Bit It:
Henson (Lap 1): Only way the lower ranking teams seem to get action is by smashing into each other. Collision with Keller, prompt end to race.
Beyens (Lap 31): Having a strangely miserable race anyway, transmission calls it a day. He remains in single-digit points
Smith, Mason (Lap 34): Two completely different yet equally car-destroying brain lapses, one from 4th and the other from midfield.
Orchard (Lap 40): Hi, what's this? A Red Bull in the top 5? *smash* Guess not...
Bathie (Lap 60): Cut the first corner a little too close. No double points score for Toyota.
Domingues (Lap 64): Not the mechanics' fault this time! A collision with Horton in a fight over 4th place - on the losing end again.
'The Bruno and Bruce Show' Award (aka the Deja Vu award):
Once again these two share the bad luck spotlight in the highlight reel. That collison with 14 to go makes Domingues 5 races without a finish and leader in the DNF department. Meanwhile, McLaren loses another point to Dubois in the Aguri - it may not be as clean of a pass as before, but the ruling stood. Tough break(s)!
Defining Moment: All those retirements from points positions - Mason, Orchard, Bathie, and (as always) Domingues handed some points to lower-placing drivers in the field...
---
Silverstone:
Winner: Davidson, Honda (7th times the charm! Overcame a first-lap technical glitch that hampered him the rest of the way to pull off a stunning, brilliant win)
Silver: Horton, McLaren (Having an excellent season, consistenly near the top in the finish - could've had a win in this one. Another podium will not bring complaints however!)
Bronze: Smith, Midland (Who? Just the next Midland sensation. Never fell lower than 6th.)
4th: Whitcomb, Renault (An average race for the Renault driver. Stayed in the points the whole way.
5th: Domingues, BMW (One word: FINALLY!)
6th: Mason, BMW (Worked his way up the field and eventually brought the second Beemer home right alongside the first)
7th: Hutchinson, Ferrari (A 2-stopper with hard tires the whole way?)
8th: Dubois, Super Aguri (Aguri racks up points one by one. Didn't have to use force this time.)
Kicked It:
Taylor (Lap 12): Gave fans a souvenir present by tossing the rear wing into the bleachers (without injuries) ... during the race.
Paajanen (Lap 17): Messed up at a hairpin from a podium position and got a carload of sand. Brought out the SC.
Machiels (Lap 30): Momentum what? Came into Copse a bit too fast and wrecked it from midfield. Toyota Rule #132: Only one car can finish.
Beyens (Lap 44): Brit belted by disgruntled Aussie Haswell who had fallen deep back in the field. Fans were displeased.
'Fuel Tanker' Award / 'False Hope' Award:
Haswell finally gives other teams a chance by watching his fuel system go wonky on lap 10 and diving into the pits. This was to be his one stop for the race and he loaded up for the next 50 laps' worth of fuel. Not even the Renault could overcome that! Championship lead is now 7 over Horton.
Defining Moment: "The Pass", Penultimate Lap
Home race favorite Davidson simply slingshotted past Horton down the home straight with 2 to go, sending the crowd into a frenzy as the Brit would hang on to pull off a spectacular and jubilant win. Fans were happy again!
