I'm already a member of BATcamp pfft.

Edit: Der Meister, do you happen to be a HotHardware.com member?

Nah dude, sorry, I'm checking out the site at the moment, but I've never heard of it

Oh ok, no, I'm not really into all that PC stuff, my dad and brothers are, I'll ask Tate about it when he gets home from school. 👍

Why'd you ask?

Edit: @ Blake- I'm in BATcamp too, but I didn't see the point of it, there's nothing there other than peoples profiles, nothing interesting at all.

I'm 'gtpdermeister' on there.

The point is sharing race strategies. Every race you do, note your strategy (or the winners) and how you did, then everyone on the team will be able to search for a certain race and find a winning strategy (or one to avoid).

The more who join the team and start throwing in strategies, the more everyone benefits.

Hey Dunc, check your rep for that post. I left you a message...

I saw a guy on there named Der Meister :D.

23 minutes 'til qualifying!

No race report?

And what is this crap in qualifying!?! I should just use softs on all three laps.

Well that ruins the whole point of the game then, because there is no driver skill involved, only luck and strategy, giving away your strategy is like giving everyone 99% of your ability.

And setups are random anyway, it's never the same every race. So there's no point. I proved this theory because I started a public F1 2006 season with a Super Aguri before the GTP season started, and so far nothing has matched anywhere. The engineers report are all seperate images and the approximate setup is a random aggregate number that matches the image.

Eg. If the engineers report says HIGH DOWNFORCE... the total amount will probably be between around 125 and 200. So it could be 75 - 75, or it could be 79 - 99, or even 27 - 99. Nothing is ever exact, it's just a random selection. I think that setup estimates also overlap, like high and medium could overlap like this: Med: 25 - 75, High: 50 - 100. So you could have a setting thats between 50 and 75, but it could be called HIGH or MEDIUM.

At least, that's what I've sort gathered myself... and from Jessica's messy text book infront of me

So I would say that BATcamp is useless to anyone who wants to win races, because giving away your winning strategies is giving away your chance to be a winner and would make the field dead even and boring.

@ MachOne: Nope, sorry... that's not me... maybe I have a fan! haha

I would say it makes it more challenging personally, plus who's to say they will use your set up?

I swear someone swapped my Renault engine for an Aguri one.

I almost forgot there were other drivers on the track during that race..

Well, I've just completed another V8 series, finishing a dismal 10th - my worst season yet. I think it's about time to go back to the F1 series to improve my world rankings as I'm in danger of falling out of the top 800.

@ Bee: Very true, it does make it more competitive. But why would I want to make my season harder when I'm in the worst team as it is.

But surely my strategies must be working, after-all, Jess also uses my strategies, so they must work if I can get at least 1 4yr old car in the points every race, and now have 2 podiums in a row, and running 4th in the constructors championship!

I'm not looking for praise, just saying that I'm not letting out my secrets and ruining my season (or future seasons) by telling the world how to make a slow car drive competitively.

;)

Well done on the win Bee, I can't remember who came second though, probably one of the regular "runners up" - I was too exstatic on the podium getting smashed on the champaigne!!! 👍
