This message is for everyone out there. If you are on a team and see a Helicopter or 2 helicopters causing constant problems, you NEED to help take it down.

Ah, you appear to be operating under the same false assumption I was for quite some time, which is that the majority of BF3 players realise that it's a game that requires teamwork to win.

It is so, so rare to find a squad that will help you out or even stay together for more than 30 seconds, and even rarer than that to find a medic or support that will take the time to press the '3' key to drop their support item, even if you stand there asking for ammo or health. It's as if they don't want the easy points. Even rarer still are players willing to change their class to benefit others, but the rarest thing in the game... Vehicle pilots who wait for at least one other player to hop in before they drive/fly off. It really does astonish me how many chopper pilots think they're better off by themselves than with a gunner, or how many tank drivers think they'll do the team more good or even survive one single support soldier approaching from the rear with C4 without a gunner sitting on top.

Every time I play this game I end up hopping around each squad on my team to find one that will work as a unit. I find being chatty on the text chat (oh yeah, I'm on PC) helps because those that chat back are usually the ones most up for playing together instead of alone. The kind of banter you can get going is often hilarious too, but much more rare than it was in BC2.

And you'd think it would be obvious to all that if the enemy team is dominating with tanks, use AT equipment. If it's choppers, use jets, and if jets, let them get on with it because they're harmless if you're not a jet, chopper or sometimes a tank. But no, the only thing most players agree on is that RPGs and SMAWs are anti-infantry weapons and there's no need for anyone to be anything but an engineer.

^ lol Thats exactly why I posted with that reply. I agree its very hard to find a good squad and even more impossible to find a squad that communicates. ALmost impossible thats why I normally just play with friends. Problem is that I only have a couple friends that play BF3. So I just end up joining a squad and spend the majority of my time destoying vehicles, because hardly anyone else does it. Plus I love destroying vehicles. :sly:

Even if people dont want to communicate, please at least use common sense and help out your team if you know that there is an enemy problem. Especially something as game changing as a helicopter. Honestly it does not take long at all to unlock the stinger. And for those that dont know the Stinger AUTOMATICALLY locks onto air vehicles. All it takes is at least 2 engineers to instantly wipe out a helicopter or jet. Or as I said above in the other reply, if you are a sniper using the recon class, equip your SOFLAM. That also AUTOMATICALLY locks onto the vehicles and will allow the engineers to hit the target from anywhere on the map. Its by far THE best way to eliminate vehicles. Especially air vehicles.

I had an awesome squad last night. The squad leader designated points to capture and moved quickly as a group to capture the point. The movement between points was typically in some kind of vehicle. I racked up all kinds of points just being along for the ride; it was great stuff. When I was not just along for the ride, I quickly got into the rhythm of anticipating the squad leader's orders and started moving out before an order was issued; being able to do that was no doubt aided by a good rest of the team.

Yes thats more great advice. You can "mark" the flag you want to capture or defend. If you are on the 360, you look at the flag you want to capture or defend and hit the back button (same button to mark enemies and vehicles). A special marking will go onto that flag. And whenever someone defends or attacks that, you get free points! 👍 Oh also mark enemies and tanks every chance you get too because that will also get you free points if someone kills that enemy. Especially vehicles. ALWAYS MARK VEHICLES!!! Engineers will love you for sure but so will the rest of your team. :)

I also ended up with a great squad and team over the weekend. I posted about that a few replies back but it sure was an enjoyable experience. I had a mic and no one communicated but it was still some really good teamwork. Medics were healing and reviving, engineers were destroying vehicles, and everything just went really well. On top of that, the other team was also really good. So it made for a full day of really close matches back and forth. We won some, they won some. It was one of those really closely matched games where you did not want to leave and did not want to take a single break. Thats how valuable every team mate was. If you hesitated for a minute, the other team would pull ahead. Even with no communication, it was a great time for sure. :)

Just been in the worst lobby EVER!!!

Everyone on the enemy team, and i mean EVERYONE was using frag rounds -_-

But we still won :)

TAKE THIS AS A MESSAGE TO ALL YOU FRAG ROUND USERS! BULLETS ALWAYS WIN!

Heh, I wish. Damn fraggers.

If anyone is interested in 'working as a squad', feel free to add my PSN, I don't have a mic but I try to work as a team.👍

I guess being lvl 42 and having 366 jet kills isn't too bad.
Where exactly do you see the specific vehicle kills? I checked here http://bf3stats.com/ but it only says total kills, not specific vehicle kills. I am level 38 and it says I killed 454 vehicles but thats all I know.

I just know vehicles dont usually last long if I am in the room. Especially if I get killed by one. :sly:

I dont think I have looked at my dog tags since I first started the game. Those show the vehicle kills? I still have so much to learn about BF3. I would love to see how many jets, tanks, and helicopters I have destroyed. It would be even better if it told me at the end of each round.

Will add you, but I only play at weekends.

Gets boring playing with yourself with no helpful squad mates. Add me if y'all want I'm pretty good I got a decent 1.56 kd I'm game to be a helo pilot or give some air support in the jet though. :)

These guys on CQ dominated the air do bad nobody would use air support, got destroyed as soon as I took flight in anything.

Had a good match spawn camping seine crossing spawn CQ. 8-2 with HK36 I think SMG with Engineer

We dominated both of these games and won. :D

Terrible round at Metro, hollidog! Not sure what happened. We got A and B and then it just because the headless chicken show. Seemed like enemy were everywhere, gunning us down. Not sure when you left, but we managed to hold A and get back B and C but by then it was too late, we were down like 200 tickets

Btw I do have a mic

I play rush & cq mostly at all maps but I play hardcore mode and reg. my Psn I'd is the same as this.

Me and my platoon joined a room, we were on the losing team down 185 tickets. But we still won :) completely dominated every flag.

EDIT: Whoever uses the javalin or guided missiles ADD ME! I always use the SOFLAM but no one shoots them down. PSN same as username.

Yeah it was horrible, I left not to long after we got pushed back to A, bloody FRAGs everywhere, I couldn't deal. Especially as this was the game I had before that:

20 kill streak to make a 30,000 point game. Saw that you joined me part way through and somehow managed to get top Support!

Sucks that they still haven't fixed the servers yet, getting a bit tired of being killed by those bullet bending Americans. :grumpy:

Just bought B2K. Someone want to test drive it with me? Well not test DRIVE but test shoot? PS3, juhna96, i got mic and hope you got too. If anyone plays.

Where was that Zenith?

Wake?

That seems reasonable for Wake.

Well it seems like you are leet awsum doodz..... but still.... acceptable for that map.

Or Noshahr I suppose.

Depends on your enemy.
It's hard to tell, but I don't think I see anyone over level 30.

:irked:👍

@ Zenith

66-4??! OUCH! Thats some serious owning in the Tunguska... Was it Noshahr? There a lot of places in that map you can just chill with a Tunguska and get major ownage going.
