One I came across (and its only happened once so far) was when prone outside I wasn't able to view down the sights until I had switched to the pistol and back again.

That's happened to me about 3 times but I wasn't prone. Other than that and the screen flicker issue this game is a lot of fun!
 
Just one more day until the open beta.. YAY! This FPS sounds EPIC from the first impressions in here.. 👍

No, no it won't. I played cod4 and mw2 primarily during the time that I had adsl 1 which got 1.3 down and 0.2 up. It's not a problem at all, green bars were where they should be, Australian and nz servers.

I'll admit it's better with a faster connection but by no means is it game breaking. Heck, I played the games on capped Internet, just a little faster than dial up and it was still fine xD.

It might not seem like its a problem to you but 1.3 down and .2 up is indeed a problem online for sure. That is NOT a good connection and if you dont think you are effecting the online experience for others, then you are very wrong. Just because YOU dont see any issues does not mean your poor connection is not effecting others. When you hear about others complaining about lag and connection issues, its because of people with low connections joining the game. You dont see the problems but everyone else does. I wish people would realize that. It would make the world of online gaming so much better for everyone.

We have one friend that used 3G to play MW2 on the 360 and socom on the ps3 with us for several years. He couldn't host games, but as long as he wasn't the host everything was fine. He did get some lag every once in awhile, but it wasn't bad enough to where he wanted to quit, or we cared about it. I borrowed his adapter so I could get online and play when I went camping. When I tested the connection it never got to even 1 up. If I remember right it was .8 at it's best, and the download was even worse.

It was a stable connection though and was fast enough to play games with. Could he host games? No, but he could play them, and none of us suffered because of it. It didn't work well on all games, but MW2 and socom worked fine.
 
Ya I can't host but the connection is always stable and doesn't cause anyone else to lag unless I some how get host.

Just unlocked the glock 17c. Trouble is it's really a glock 17. Also, why'd they put a laser on it?! Lame.

Aside from that complaint and a few bugs with aiming down the sights and screen shake it's a very fun game!

I unlocked the G17 shortly before i went to bed so i didnt get to use it much. I dont mind the laser to much but i would have preferred a tac light.👍

Which btw the tactical light is amazing, it works so well.

I hope they fix the squad system. Most of the time were not even in the same squad a voice chat doesn't work.
 
For you guys on PC not sure if you know but Caspian Borders it's playable. The "secret password" was "leaked" by one of the devs and then zh1nto (Dice CM) mentioned the password secretly on twitter.

Password was sexyelevator but I believe somebody said it had changed. Now go try those jets and let us know :) Reports from the forums say that map is amazing and is the true BF3. Apparently new passwords are all over Battlelog and not being moderated out.
 
Yep. If you have twitter check zh1nto's tweets about 11 hours ago he says it there or just search it on google but I'm quite serious I didn't make that up :p

I really hope consoles get it too. My laptop played alpha but only barely and it was a frustrating experience with it crashing constantly so I highly doubt it'd survive on 64 player Conquest with jets and multiple vehicles.
 
I read that Caspian Border was to be in the beta but got pulled last minute.

I see the beta is on the PSN store but it won't let me access it. It only says "this content cannot be accessed on your account." I see someone else on my friends list playing it, is something wrong or do I have to wait?

Your friend probably has the early access beta, the open beta should become available tomorrow morning at 8:00am EST I heard idk if it's that for PSN though
 
My brother is in the same situation as Time Attack. Someone on his friends list is playing and it says that it's the open beta, but my brother can't download it. I guess his friend could have early access but why would it say he's playing the open beta.
 
I had thought it must be the early access but it does say open beta with no mention of anything else. I found it on the store and assumed I could at least download it and have it ready to go but that wasn't the case. I'll be at work tomorrow well before 8am and won't be home until nearly 5pm. I guess I'll have to check then or maybe swing by on lunch and see if its available for download then.
 
The beta is open to the public tomorrow, and I'm not gonna deny how pumped I am. Hopefully BF3 will actually go as "above and beyond the call" as everyone hopes. MW3's gonna be more of the same, for the most part, and BC2's getting a little stale. And, the best part (aside from the killer graphics and sound, and maps etc.) is that they've finally fixed the medic! No more LMG tanks hiding behind rocks healing themselves...
