Let me rephrase I guess. I was a bit tired when I wrote that.
After playing for a few hours now, I think I'll still skip the game until I rent it. I've had a couple good matches a few hours ago that got me up a couple levels. I've also had my fair share of iffy matches, one in particular reminded me of MOH (and I don't want to be reminded of that game): The lag was causing me get hit markers with a shotgun, even at close range. That was NOT a fun match. BUT that wasn't even the worst- no mute feature really pisses me off. All the annoying kids who turn on their mics for no reason other than to play their rapcrap music and talk to another person physically in the room (not in the game). This is what mostly turned me down.
I admit- I've been entertained. I love the crawling animation and the bipods that you can actually use, the select fire is an awesome and helpful feature, snipers without scopes are fun, the graphics are :censored:ing awesome...I'm sure there's more I can't think of. Metro is an OK map, but tends to be a bit iffy sometimes, I really hoping to check out the jets though since that's what impressed me the most from one of the recent videos.
Overall, for a beta, I'd say it's ok. For now I put my money down on MW3 since I really don't trust BF: BC2 was short lived due to unlocking everything so fast, BF2 I hardly played, and MOH just outright sucked (technically it's a BF game).
Maybe it's because I'm more biased towards COD, I don't know. Maybe I just like COD's simple pick-up-and-play system with no need to play like in BF. I don't know

.
What ticks me off even more is EA/Dices avertisting. "BF3 will totally kick MW3's ass!" "COD sucks, buy BF!" It just makes me sick. Even more so with their "no Porsche for you!" attitude toward T10- our last resort at a quality console semi-racing sim. Maybe this is why I don't like BF3 as much- the way they're acting towards other game companies just pisses me off.
