Good luck playing BF3 and then playing 1943, not only will the game feel like it came out in 1943, I bet the games are beyond dead at this point.

Yeah.. it's incentive to get you to preorder from them, I liked what SPECACT could be so I preordered at Best Buy.. In hindsight I probably wouldn't have gone with them if I had known what it was going to be




But anyway, jets are sooooo fun once you get the hang of them! I am pretty good but I still crash into everything hahaha
 
Does noone here have those major problems with their mics or squad making?
It's so damn hard to get in a team with 3 friends and if you managed it, the mics won't work properly! :grumpy:

DICE really needs to give us a patch for that. MP without teamspeak is pretty bland!
 
What an awesome FPS! Got it in after work yesterday day and played for two hours. Went straight to MP conquest and it just rocked my socks off! Tommi joined me for a bit but then disappeared, did you get booted? We were owning in that tank the whole time.. :lol: Anyway, I had some great matches! The map with the rain, don't remember what its called has a flag called hallway... CRAZY firefights going on there... I'm hooked...

Now things are getting even more mysterious...

So i remove everything called Battlefield and Origin on my computer. Re-install Origin then re-downloading BF3.
Had a great speed so i thought that in 15min everything should be ready.

After 30 minutes i started wondering why i´m still at 20% when i remember being at 50% before, so i check the download bar and sure enough, it goes to around 25% with 3Gig or so downloaded then it starts over at 10% !!

WTF.

What kind of customer service does that?
 
Wow, that's pretty shotty. At least help you out..

However I think that initializing problem happened to my friend during the beta. The game was suddenly crash (he thinks it's because of his video card) and the computer thinks the game is still running so you can't click anything on the screen. Once you finally get it to go away, you have to end process to BF3 to start it all back up again

Yeah I know, I was in line with their costumer service for the beta.
I had the EA customer service.
Try that for a try.
You will get emails for the feedback of their customer service. Give them the name of the ***ch who kicked you out because she was to dumb to understand

Also, did you check your firewall settings.
Not that you have it on automatic, and it blocks Origin or BF3??

You must be frustrated though.


My game only shipped today at 6am. :( Well monday then.
Played a bit at a friends though, (wish I hadn't, now so eager)

Sp too (don't know what reviews have to bash on it. It is far better explained than the COD storys.)
My friend has almost the same setup as mine and he runs everything on ultra without the 2*580sli?
Does it take out some options depending on your detected card?
 
I have tried everything, last person i talked to in the chat i opened up with "Will you also close down this window for no reason like the two other vegetables i talked to before or will you try to help me, i just want to know if i´m wasting my time or not"

He said "Sir, i will help you" :)

He stayed with me through all the process of removing everything called Origin/Battlefield 3 on my computer, did a virus check, re-downloaded Origin (for the 6th time now, latest version)

And then proceeded to download BF3 AGAIN.

Everything went well and me and him was happy as hell as it was up to almost 70% and then comes the percentage of death, it started over at 28%!

He then gave me the support mail to EA and i wrote this to them:

Hi, been waiting for Battlefield 3 to come around for ages now so i pre-ordered it, pre-downloaded it and when it was released tried to play it.

The game just stayed at Initializing all the time and no game would start whether that was Singleplayer or Multiplayer.

I then talked to 4 of your customer service people, 3 of them just turned of the chat for no reason.
1 tried to help and sat by for over 20 minutes trying to fix this problem.

I´ve done everything, turned off firewall, turned off anti-virus, removed everything called Origin or Battlefield 3 on my computer, re-installed Origin for the 6th time now (the latest version).

I then try to re-download BF3 and it goes fine up to about 60-70% then it all of a sudden goes back to 20-30% until it reaches 40-50% then back again.
I´m so pissed of at how crap your Origin service is and i can´t think of anything that works so bad made by humans in the history of mankind.

I want every single dollar spent on the Limited Edition i pre-ordered. You have lost a customer for life. I will never in my lifetime buy anything with a EA sticker on it.

Well they had a post on Origin last night acknowledging that a lot of people were having problems unlocking the game and getting it started up. Hope it works out for you...
 
Is this purely a pc/ps3 party or is there anyone on the xbl side playing as well? I'll never be the best killer but I'll always have a band-aid for you and I tend to play the objective :p

Hopefully they fix it. I bought my computer just for BF3 so this was not exactly my best days ;)

I having BF3 withdrawls. :indiff: Works been so busy I haven't had a moment to breathe. This weekend for sure i'm gonna hit it hard.

Yeah, kept getting booted and it was lagging like hell too, didn't dare turn my headset on. :scared:

Was good while it lasted though! :)
 
Wrote in the BF3 forum about adding the option "Render each screen separately" and this was the response.

We are investigating these issues together with Nvidia and AMD.

This game is awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !
GT5 will be gathering dust for quite some time now. I'll take ages to learn these BF3 maps , then i'll be on the 4 new ones on Back to Karkand.
 
Haha I was just doing co-op and it was the one with the helicopter and I was in the cockpit randomly, and I crashed into a mountain and then a river. I can't fly helicopters.
 
Back to Karkand map pack will be released in December! Also a patch coming soon that will buff pistols, jets, and the UMP. They're also investigating PS3 voice chat issues!
 
I'm actually having a bit of trouble getting into it. I'm really bad at it so it isn't as fun. But oh well, ill get used to it like I bib BFBC2.

I know... You killed me 5 times in rush with it yesterday :p

I've played engineer almost exclusively and I love the scar and the a-91. I've got 2 service stars with the scar so far.

Jets are a ton of fun with heat seekers and flares. I shot down a tank with the machine gun on Caspian yesterday too :)

Play a support role until you get better, i.e. engineer is a good option as you can make your priority tanks and other vehicles and use your RPG to take down enemies in heavy cover (or take out there cover) to help allow your team to advance. Alternatively use the Assault or Support classes and make it your goal to keep people up on health/ammo and worry less about killing just put down fire when you can to suppress the target.

I'm not really sure how to answer that, or if that is even a real question. Do you usually use a mouse and keyboard on the PS3?

If I could just plug the joystick in via usb, flying would be much easier on console
 
Have you noticed that the UMP is overpowered in every game it's in?
