So the Jet advice is bundled here, so that we all don't keep repeating ourselves......
1. You can fly or
drive to an objective/flag and park for some easy-ish points.
2. You can try changing the controls around, some find it easier with the controls default for shooting and driving, but on Legacy or Southpaw for flying.
3. You can fly directly into something, such as a Helicopter, or maybe another jet, for points.
4. Use the spot function (this is SELECT on PS3) to mark the enemy [they need to be in your crosshairs to do this] and earn points, you can spam it as you fly overhead.
5. If being shot down a lot, make yourself harder to hit by not flying straight and try different views to see which one helps you spot your opponent. Braking hard and turning so that you drop onto your enemy's plane's tail worx well. Go Maverick! Iceman I got your six! Or something.....
6. You can practice flying Helicopters in the second mission of Co-op play.
7. Tanx and Jeeps can be difficult to hit unless already spotted, go for the Helicopters.
8. Never try to hoover in a jet, there simply isn't room to get into all the noox and crannies, unless you are using a Dustbuster.
9. You hover by pressing the throttle up and the throttle down buttons at the same time, but release throttle up as your plane starts to ascend, then press it again, hard.
10. Practice; we know it's hard, we are all finding it hard, until you unlock flares, missiles etc, so practice your piloting skills and help your team mates from above!
I managed to find an entire evening of noobs last night, who were on my team.
I got owned at Metro, then at Gulf, then at Sharqi, then at Bazaar, twice.
The first time, the Russian's beat us all the way back to our base, and parked two vehicles there and spammed us to death....... in the end I just sat there with 24 tickets left, watching at all happen, without spawning back in.
Then, the very next round, we go back to Bazaar, and we've switched teams, so the US take A, (CQ) then they take B, we've got C for about 1 minute, till they take it.
I was planting AT mines round at A when I got killed, had to respawn at base as we had no flag, and lo and behold, the US have us pinned down to base again.
I was laughing.
What more can you do.
There were 12 on our team, 10 on theirs, no-one had joined my squad, they were all loners, and we were getting consistently and systematically murdered.
When BF is like that, it sux.

If its an attack heli I usually wait for a pilot to get in and then take the gunner position... Most of the time Im with a good pilot who knows what he's doing and dodges incoming missiles with ease 
But there are also times where we just lift off and crash immediately after... I'm usually in tanks or other ground vehicles or on foot. 👍
I joined a couple of servers over the weekend where everyone was no higher than level 7 except for me on my team and two colonels on the other... YAY. Got owned quite a bit 'til I ended up on the other team somehow (team balancing maybe?), so I squaded up with the colonels
